We have a natural inclination toward sinfulness. This often leads us to prefer that someone else take care of us and to not earn our keep. Sinfulness also often leads those in power to constantly seek more of it. This requires a Constitution that limits power and authority, but also is built upon personal responsibility.

I have a BS in Elementary Education from Dr. Martin Luther College ('85). I have ben a teacher in Lutheran elementary and high schools for 22 years. I was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly (52nd District) in 2010 and am in the midst of my first term. Prior to state office, I was elected three times to the Fond du Lac City Council and served three years as vice president of the council. I have held board positions over the years in churches my family attended: Board of Education, Board of Evangelism. I have also served on several organizing committees for Lutheran teacher's conferences: Minnesota & Wisconsin (elementary), Wisconsin (high school). I served as the publicity director for a Christian camp called Camp Croix.
