I believe parents should have the right to challenge instructional materials they feel are inappropriate. At the same time, our schools cannot afford to be stuck in a revolving door of repeated challenges to the same book. A balanced approach would be to allow a book to be reconsidered once per school year, unless new and substantial information comes forward.
