QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Agree

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

School districts should be able to use taxpayer money for lobbying the state legislature.

Disagree

State voters elect their legislature. School districts vote in their school boards.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

Based on the notion of the common good, I agree on local and state government funding for Pre-K through 12th grade public schools. This funding should also include school vouchers to offer parents' choice in schools to include religious, private, and home school assistance. I agree with state sponsored universities, colleges, and community colleges. I also think each state should have full say in its school systems without Federal government oversight or funding.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

At school, students should be able to speak freely and civilly about matters of conscience and faith, including Christianity.

Strongly Agree

I observed over the years, the erosion of virtues, self-discipline, and patriotism in part because of the absence of Christianity in the schools. Since the invasion of woke culture into the schools, some teachers and administrators restrict free expression about God and anything counter to the woke mindset.

School districts should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Marriage and the family are the building blocks for an orderly society. Without it our structure will collapse.

Students should not be allowed to pray in school.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Vaccinations should be a personal choice for adults. Parents by their caring concern for their children should decide what is best for their child. The COVID mandates clearly show governments, schools, and employers over stepped their bounds.

EDUCATION

When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?

Parents should not be restricted from speaking civilly at school board meetings, and the school board should show respect for parents.

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): Mathematics, Information Technology, Science, Political Activism, Personal Finances, Gender Identity, Physical Fitness, American History, Critical Race Theory, Language Arts, Art & Music, Vocational Learning, Sexuality, Foreign Language, Social Emotional Learning

Language Arts, Mathematics, American History, Science, Vocational Learning, Information Technology, Foreign Language, Art & Music, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness

American civics education should emphasize our nation's founding principles of liberty and equality.

Strongly Agree

Before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Ed (CSE) or Social Emotional Learning (SEL), they must opt-in with written parental permission.

Agree

Based on the results of Comprehensive Sex Ed (CSE) or Social Emotional Learning (SEL) I've heard, these courses do not belong in schools. They disrupt a child's moral compass, plus each child matures at a slightly different rate which a caring parent is better suited to address.

The loss of local control in education is too high a price to pay in exchange for federal dollars.

Strongly Agree

Many of the woke culture initiatives come from the Federal Government. Remember the Trojan War--Be aware of Greeks bearing gifts.

I support the teaching of curricula (such as the 1619 Project, No Place for Hate, Second Step, etc.) that emphasizes slavery and racism as the foundation of American history.

Strongly Disagree

These programs persuade a student they are victims of some wrong. This often leads to the student seeking revenge, losing their will to improve themselves, and thinking they're entitled to others property.

Parents are the ultimate authority in their child’s education and should be able to freely pursue whatever educational options they deem best for their child.

Strongly Agree

Yes, this is a reason for vouchers.

What is the function of the local school board?

To select a superintendent and set his/her policies to establish a safe learning environment where virtues, self-reliance, and the three R's are taught.

Do you support the National School Board Association's characterization of parents who speak out at school board meetings as "domestic terrorists"?

No

Parents are the child's first educators and have every right to speak at school board meetings.

Who should have the authority to set curriculum and determine resources used in those curricula?

In broad terms, the state should set a minimum level with the local school district determining the rest. In regard to curriculum parents, clergy, businesses, teachers, and public offices holder should play a part in formulating standards. We also need to look at alternatives to the factory school system.

Who has the ultimate right to control the education of children in public schools? (a) parents (b) teachers (c)school boards.

Parents are first and should have a choice in selecting a school.

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Striving to follow Jesus by keeping God first, Country second, others third, and me last.

I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Strongly Disagree

Stick to biology not feelings. Gender dysphoria is a mental disorder only affecting a minuscule portion of the population.

Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?

Parents are responsible. Your second question is phased wrong. It depends on the child and their maturity. Once the child asks about anything sexual it's time to discuss sex.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- Physical and emotional health outcomes; contraceptive methods; consent; abstinence; sexual orientation and gender identity; human anatomy/the reproductive system; abortion methods and side effects; stages of pregnancy and fetal development; sex acts and pleasures of sex

While I'm not in favor of public-school teachers teaching Sex Ed, teens should hear about the brutally of abortion and its side effects.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Yes, these values recognize God as the only one worthy to rule and guide us, thus we want only a limited government for a common defense.

No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent.

Strongly Agree

No school official should be involved in the sexual transitioning of a student, including the use of alternative names and pronouns.

Strongly Agree

EQUALITY

I support the teaching that an individual, solely by virtue of his or her race, is inherently racist, whether consciously or unconsciously.

Strongly Disagree

We are all children of God and from the same original parents. God loves us all. Since we are equal in His eyes, we should consider ourselves equal.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO

A candidate's personal moral values should not be relevant when considering a candidacy for elective office.

Disagree

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I'm not sure of your borders between the degrees.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Check out my speeches for the past years at the Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board of Education.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Elect--Bill Fountain to CMS School Board District 1, the only candidate challenging wokism. Over the past year, I’ve spoken at the CMS school board against wokism. To save CMS, we must arrest the woke invasion first by dropping the gender identity program to regain moral compass, second by insisting that principals enforce student discipline for productive classrooms, third by realigning social emotion learning from victimhood and racism to advocating virtues and self-reliance, and fourth by freeing teachers from social emotional learning to focus on content. I’m a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, combat fighter pilot, and defense budget planner, also a retired business $100 million programs manager and marketing manager, and a retired high school teacher—math, aviation, economics, and aeronautical science. I volunteer as a cadet orientation pilot and both a mission and instructor pilot in NC Civil Air Patrol. I’m a novice writer—Trilogy of Chris and Colleen Adventures.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Under what circumstances (if any) should schools be allowed to require vaccinations?

Schools and governments have lost the trust of their citizens. They've been proven to tout bad science. Answer is None.
