Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I support Abortion in the case of rape, incest, or for the health of a mother that may lead to her death. Abortion is a personal and private issue, although I support the Pro-Choice movement, however, I am totally against late term Abortions. Better education, more available contraception, would definitely help reduce the need for Abortions. I value human life, as well as support the need to protect the unborn, but it is up to us as individuals to make better decisions that will not lend itself to having an Abortion of an unwanted pregnancy. With medical advancements, and better education regarding contraception, will avoid unwanted pregnancies, and I sincerely hope that in the future will lead to the end of all Abortions, and that we as humans will be able to always embrace life.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

There is much evil in the World, and not until 9/11 did that evil of terrorism come into our National consciousness. There is no question that we are a great military power, and I thank all the men and women that serve each and everyday to protect our Nation from Radical Islamic Terrorism. In order for us to eradicate this treat, we must have an all out military effort, with our coalition partners, to not only secure our boarders, but every region around the World where Radical Islamic Terrorism exists, in order to end this evil. "Operation World Peace," will be a coalition of Nations of Peace that will build strong economic Communities within the Countries where people live in poverty, and Radical Islamic Terrorism operate out of, in order to establish Governments that are stable and give rise to freedom. We must stand strong with our partners to sustain Nations to survive and prosper in order to eradicate Radical Islamic Terrorism.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Our Founding Fathers despite their differences, realized that compromise was the key to a successful Government. They also understood the nature of mankind, and that power and greed, could lead to corruption, which lead them to put-forth the separation of powers within the Constitution. They understood that one person or one branch of Government could dominate another, therefore, separation of powers was necessary to keep in check the human nature of greed and corruption.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised a Catholic, and growing-up my family and I attended Church every Sunday. Presently I attend Church at a less frequent rate, usually attending now Christian Churches. I believe that there is a God, and that Jesus did walk the earth. I support the right of all people to worship in whatever matter that they feel meets their spiritual needs, for freedom of Religion should never be restricted or ban. I value freedom, fairness, as well as being accepting and respecting the differences of others. This is why my Campaign slogan is "Together We Can Build New Bridges of Common Understanding," for the World that we now live in has far to much hatred and division. We need a new movement that will bring us together, as the great Nation that we are, a Country of Laws, in order to respect each other, as well as to be able to be tolerant of our differences, so that we can truly become a Nation of one.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Individuals can find information that will validate my moderate positions on various issues, on social media sites, such as SalGenoveseforCongress.com; Nextdoor Kingsley Vista; and on Linkin. I also have various handouts that we give out when we are Campaigning at Farmer's Markets throughout the 28th Congressional, as well as handouts that we give residents as we Campaign door to door in Communities within our District. I encourage everyone to contact me if they have a question, or would like more information about me, or my issues, as well as my Campaign. Thank you for taking the time to find out about me, and to obtain information about my Campaign.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The first thing that I will do when elected to Congress, is to put-forth a Bill that will lift the restrictions about being able to purchase Health Insurance across State lines, so that consumers will be able to buy Health Insurance from any State in the Union. This will begin to drive down the cost of Health Insurance premiums, for it will create a Nation wide competitive solution for consumers, rather than being limited to only buying Health Insurance from their State. I also will introduce my "Healthcare For America Act," which will have co-op groups, and concierge practices, where individuals can join with low premiums, and no deductibles, as well as other plans that individuals with low income and those with pre-existing conditions, will have premiums and deductibles based on their income, with services received paid on a sliding scale. There will be no mandates, for every American should have the option to decide what Medical Insurance is right and affordable for them.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

The role of Government in the economy should be limited. Government has a tendency to make the cost of operating a business more expensive, with taxes, fees, and far to much regulations, which drives-up the costs of goods and services. Competition is the driving force of a strong economy, not the over interference of Government regulations and taxes. States and Local Governments have imposed taxes and regulations in many States such as California, that have driven Companies to leave our State, for the cost to operate a businesses is far to expensive. Government over reaching hurts small business growth, as well as drives-up prices for consumers, for Governments can play a role in boosting the economy, by keeping business taxes low, 10% to 12%, limited regulations, less fees, as well as business tax credits.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

Hard working men and women are burden with far to many taxes. Recently Congress passed a Tax Bill that reduced Corporate taxes, which I support, as well as gave many Americans a reduction in their taxes as well. However, it did not go far enough in reducing individual taxes for average Americans, for far to many Americans are now known as the "Working Poor." I support reducing taxes, and will work to pass a Tax Bill that will have simple brackets. For example a Single Person earning up to $25,000, there will be no taxes; and a Couple earning up to $50,000, there will be no taxes; or a Single Person earning up to $50,000, taxed at a 7% rate, and a Couple earing up to $100,000, taxed at a 7% rate. All tax rates will be at 7%. Tax deductible items will be 50% of Healthcare cost, 100% of mortgage interest, and 100% of State and Local taxes. Eliminated taxes will be on Saving Account's interest, as well as Social Security Benefits.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

The way to reduce unemployment is to cut payroll taxes, reduce business operating cost and fees, provide tax credits for Employees hired by Employers, create Job Training Programs with apprentice opportunities, as well as implement Public Works Projects. My proposal the "Small Business & Employment Act" will provide the funding and resources to put-forth the above solutions to increase employment rates. There will also be a program to encourage High Schools and Community Colleges to offer Vocational Training Programs, that will have an enormous positive impact on reducing unemployment levels, especially in low income areas. Increase levels of employment and opportunities, will help in reducing crime and poverty, as well as will result in increase tax bases, for delivery of better Community services.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

In order to save Social Security benefits for future generations, we need to make sure that all collected Social Security Taxes cannot be used for any other funding sources, then paying out benefits to those on Social Security. We need to maintain a high level of employment, in order to be able to collect sufficient amounts of Social Security Taxes, as well as end the limit amount of Social Security Taxes that can be collected. Also I propose that large Corporations 1,000 or more Employees should help keep the Social Security System solvent, by contributing twenty-five cents per month for each Employee employed by them, that will be a tax deduction for the Corporation. The increase and continued employment of Employees, along with the contributions of Corporations, as well as restricting the use of Social Security taxes for benefits only, will lead to a solvent Social Security Retirement System for all working Americans, those now receiving benefits, as well as future generations

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I am a Veteran, and I have defended our Constitution, and I know how to get things done, for as a Tank Commander in the Army, I was responsible for the men under my command, as well as the actions of their performance. I am on a mission to change the course of our great Nation, and to bring the new voices of the next generation to the Halls of Congress. I'm a moderate Democrat, and I am ready to work on a bipartisan bases, but first and foremost I'm an American, and like you I want what is best for our Country. My experience as a leader in the military, and as an Executive and Manager in Business and in the Medical Field, as well as a Teacher and Vocational Director in Education, along with my Community organizing skills, as well as four years of College, as a Psychology major, has prepared me, and given me the experience to represent the 28th Congressional District. I have solutions to many of the issues of our times, which can be reviewed in my response in question #37.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

There are many issues facing our great Nation, and I have several Bills and Programs that will not only impact the 28th Congressional District, but will have a positive effect on our Nation. I will introduce the following proposals in Congress: Small Business & Employment Act; the Anna Rose Immigration Reform Act; Armenian Genocide Day of Remembrance Act; Fair Education & College Act; Healthcare for America Act; and the Veteran's Benefits Act. I will be establishing Community Awareness Programs (CAP), which will be monthly Town Hall meetings with residents in different areas of the District to discuss concerns and issues, as well as polices to be addressed in Congress. Finally, World Peace is very high on my Congressional agenda, to end terrorism, conflicts, and the suffering of so many people around the World, especially children, for I want to be sure that we give all children hope that there is a future for them, with opportunities to contribute to peace and freedom.
