"Redistribution" is not an accurate term for what I believe needs to happen to create an economy that works for everyone. The massive income disparity we have in the US today is due to the ongoing damage done by trickle down economic theory that has been the foundation of our tax plan as well as corporate influence on Congress which has put the needs of corporations and the wealthy above everyday Americans.

Cutting spending is not a one size fits all solution to debt management. In some instances, more investment in programs can stimulate the economy creating more revenue and in other cases we have waste and unnecessary spending which could be curtailed.

We need to bring back a demand side economy. Taxes need to be equitable. We have lowered rates and maintained deductions to the point that many individuals and large businesses can avoid paying their fair share all together. Some companies have managed to create foreign entities that are free from tax obligations for the parent company which needs to end. I believe we need to raise the cap on Social Security to a minimum of $500,000 and give a FICA honeymoon to micro-businesses transferring the border to larger businesses over $10M/year in revenue to counter the years of loss to trickle down economics. We need an economy that works for everyone and the abuse of our system put in place by Congress people who are there to protect the corporations that keep them in office needs to end.

Development of vaccines has been one of the biggest achievements in modern medicine. They have saved millions of lives the world over from death and disease. Balancing that with the right of body autonomy is a constant debate. The US has the right within the law to require vaccines for the purpose of public safety; however, I do believe we need to expand the laws of informed consent for many medicines and medical procedures so that people can not only make informed decisions about their own care, but also increase confidence in government protocol through increased transparency.

I believe that the motivation behind BDS is not a byproduct of racism, but an attempt to use non-violent means for change in protection of Palestinians. The majority of undocumented people arrive on a valid visa and overstay. Certainly, there is a need for some physical barriers or infrastructure, but this is not an easy fix. Simply blocking off our neighbors is an expensive and ineffective idea to better regulated the flow of people and commerce over our borders.

Blanket bans are troublesome, but are sometimes necessary to protect our homeland, but they should be reviewed frequently and exceptions should be made through a special application process. Our current system is often unnecessarily harsh due to unilateral rules that do not always fit the changing demands and global events as people migrate around the world. Conversely, we have a system that maintains an extremely high number of undocumented people and the need to monitor and discharge or admit some of them is not being done in a comprehensive way. Although immigrants tend to commit less crimes than citizens on average, the ability to keep our streets safe from bad actors who have no traceable identity here poses a problem. We need to better by creating a higher standard of vigilance so we can protect ourselves as well as those who migrate for our protection. The John Lewis Act needs to be passed. I believe we need mail in voting as a mandatory option nationwide as well as an extension of the ballot period. In a country of 330 Million people, we are underserved in sufficient access to polling stations as well as time to perform our civic duty and exercise our right.

Yes. We have seen a rise in hate groups in the United States and hate based crimes including murder. Only last week an African American neighborhood was targeted in NY and 10 people were killed. Domestic Terrorism is on the rise and much of it is motivated by race.

Packaging reduction laws and the promotion of cellulose packaging manufacturing is a big move forward that also supports agriculture, creates jobs at prevailing wage and reduces land fills.
