This candidate voted for H.R. 485, the Protecting Care for All Patients Act, which would prohibit federal health programs from using discriminatory measures known as Quality-Adjusted Life Years (QALYs.)  A vote for the bill is a pro-life position that indicates opposition to reducing or eliminating care for people with various disabilities and chronic conditions.

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I believe that life begins at conception and that every single life is worth fighting for.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

I support IVF. In fact, I co-sponsored H.R. 431, the Life at Conception Act, which prioritizes innocent lives from the moment of conception. The bill addresses artificial methods of IVF and the purposeful destruction of fertilized embryos. Purposeful destruction is a top concern among Republicans, and it must be addressed through legislation.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe abortion should only be allowed in cases of immediate threat to the mother’s life, rape, or incest.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

Under no circumstances should abortion clinics such as Planned Parenthood receive taxpayer dollars. Taxpayers have no obligation to fund medical procedures or related services that promote abortion.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

I agree that the Comstock Act should be enforced.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree that free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system. Free enterprise and private property encourage innovation, competition, and economic growth. When individuals can own property and freely operate businesses, they have strong incentives to work hard, invest, and improve their products and services. This leads to greater productivity, more choices for consumers, and a stronger overall economy.

People who can afford to pay more taxes should do so in order to provide relief for working families.

Strongly Disagree

Absolutely not. The solution to providing relief for working families is to lower taxes across the board, encouraging economic growth and personal responsibility. We must reduce the size of government, and that starts by reducing taxes for all Americans.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree that the government should cut spending to reduce the national debt. From day one, President Trump and DOGE have worked to identify and eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse. We must continue the efforts of this administration to reduce unnecessary bloat in our national debt.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Texas balances its budget every two years during the legislative session, so there is no reason the federal government cannot exercise the same basic fiscal responsibility that every American family must follow—you cannot spend more than you earn. We must continue to cut unnecessary spending for foreign wars, pumping money into welfare programs that are being given to those who refuse to work or are in this country illegally, and we must downsize the size of government.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

I strongly disagree that individuals and businesses should be required to provide services if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs. America is built on the foundation of freedom, which includes freedom of religion.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Freedom of religion is a core right for all Americans, protected by the First Amendment. The government must stay neutral, maintaining a separation of church and state to prevent imposing religion. However, this separation should not prevent religious values from influencing public life or shaping American principles. This nation was founded on biblical values, which continue to influence the American way of life.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Option C aligns the most with my perspective. I think Medicare and Medicaid should be accessible to America's most vulnerable populations. However, the system is often exploited by illegal immigrants and fraudsters. We must eliminate fraud, just like we’ve seen in Minnesota, within these programs. Additionally, I believe work requirements should be implemented for young, able-bodied adults, as too many young Americans depend on welfare without seeking employment.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Disagree

The government should maintain records of those who have received or are currently receiving taxpayer-funded benefits. Welfare systems have been abused for years, and now that Republicans are working to create a more efficient and effective system, there is little to no documentation of who is receiving these benefits. I have been an outspoken critic of Democrat Governors using their Medicaid expansion programs to provide Medicaid to illegal aliens.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

Option C closely resembles my view of America’s foreign policy. America should do everything in its power to keep boots off the ground in foreign countries and avoid armed conflicts. Having fought overseas, I know what active combat looks like, and the United States should become involved only as a last resort when there is a direct threat to American lives.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The CCP consistently steals American intellectual property and acquires farmland near our military bases. It is America’s duty to protect its status as a democratic republic. We must maintain a strong military and focus on security and economic leadership by bringing manufacturing and business back to the United States, reducing reliance on our adversaries.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Maintaining and expanding specific international relationships is essential to our diplomatic initiatives and the security of the United States. Israel is among the numerous nations with which the United States collaborates to enhance economic development and security, and we must continue to do so. Leaders must prioritize national interests first, while upholding robust diplomatic relations worldwide.

Islamic terrorism is a threat to the United States' national security.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree that Islamic terrorism is a threat to U.S. national security. I fought in Iraq and worked as a diplomatic liaison in Saudi Arabia. I have seen firsthand what Islamic terrorism does to a country and how it creates fear and instability. Our nation must ensure that Islamic terrorists do not have the opportunity to set foot on American soil and harm American citizens.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I propose implementing a complete moratorium on all immigration to the United States. Our labor force participation rate is at one of its lowest points ever. Instead of importing foreign labor, I want to focus on reintegrating Americans into the workforce. Once the American workforce is fully utilized, individuals who abide by federal immigration laws and pass thorough background checks could then be considered for visas and green cards.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

I strongly oppose sanctuary cities that protect undocumented individuals. Sanctuary cities undermine federal immigration laws and encourage illegal immigration, including criminals. Cities that adopt sanctuary policies often experience higher crime rates and are overrun with illegal immigrants who take advantage of benefits intended for legal American citizens.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

I agree with efforts to eliminate the Department of Education. It has evolved into a vast, inefficient entity that no longer effectively promotes education. Instead, it acts more like a government branch supporting the teachers' union rather than focusing on developing America's future leaders. It's time to shut down the Department of Education and give parents a greater say in choosing their children's education.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should have no influence or involvement in funding American education. Education standards should be set and enforced by state and local governments, with a focus on foundational learning rather than promoting political agendas or foreign interests.

VALUES

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree that attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse. Under no circumstances should a child or their legal guardian be allowed to change a child’s gender. Minors should focus on learning foundational education and basic life skills; discussing gender transitions with children is never appropriate.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I firmly believe that marriage is a sacred, God-ordained, and legal union. The government has no authority to alter the definition or purpose of marriage.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My spiritual beliefs and values are rooted in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God sent His only Son to die on the cross for all of mankind, and because of that, every decision I make is guided by His wisdom. I have served in combat and faced death firsthand. The love I have for God shapes who I am today—as a father, a husband, and an American.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I strongly oppose voting without a valid photo identification. One of the leading causes of election fraud is illegal immigrants voting in federal, state, and local elections. Every individual who votes should be required to show a photo ID—this is common sense.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

I strongly oppose biological males participating in or occupying spaces designated for biological women. I fully support President Trump’s actions to ban biological men from infringing on women’s rights. I attended the signing of President Trump’s executive order that prohibited biological men from competing in women’s sports. As a father of two young daughters, I understand the seriousness of this issue, and I will support all initiatives and legislation that prevent it from happening.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

The most reliable energy source to meet the growing electricity demand will come from the oil and gas industry. I have worked closely with this industry to help increase the production of affordable and clean energy while reducing energy prices.

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

My views are rooted in conservative values grounded in common sense, personal responsibility, and respect for the rule of law. It is a commitment to fair and impartial justice, as well as to law and order, that protects our communities and strengthens our nation. Conservatism values faith, family, and freedom, understanding that strong individuals and families are the foundation of a strong country. It means putting America first.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

The primary responsibility of the federal government is to protect American citizens, including young, impressionable minds. As leaders, it is our duty to ensure that children are safe and prepared for the real world. This includes protecting them from online sexual exploitation during internet use or while viewing online content.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The right to bear arms is granted to American citizens by the Constitution and shall not be infringed. Those who obtain firearms legally and through proper procedures must be protected. We cannot allow radical leftists to use the pretext of public safety to infringe upon the Second Amendment and take guns from law-abiding citizens. Red-flag laws are one way that deep-blue states have been implementing gun control, posing a serious threat to the Second Amendment.
