The current tax code, championed into law by former President Donald Trump, led to one of the greatest economies our country has ever seen. Although I believe personal and corporate taxes should be much less than their current levels, the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was a big step in the right direction.

I am proud of the Texas State Legislature for passing an election integrity law this past year, which will help secure our elections for future years to come. Texans and Americans across our country have a right to know that their vote counts and that our elections are secure. There is nothing more paramount than protecting our constitutional right to vote.

Our values and our way of life are under attack. If we don’t stand up to those on the left who want to fundamentally change American life, we will find ourselves in a drastically different country. When I was flying Apache helicopters overseas, I saw how truly special the United States is. I want to make sure that we can continue being a beacon of light for the world.

I fully support the right to own and bear arms. But, I also recognized that we need to focus on keeping guns out of the hands of criminals, and terrorists. We need to make sure that we’re enforcing existing laws and empowering law enforcement to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and keep our communities safe.
