Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

There are NO circumstances where abortion should be allowed. Babies with fetal abnormalities are still made in the image of God, and their lives should be protected. It is NOT okay to abort a baby conceived in rape or incest for the same reason. Abortion in the case of rape or incest is punishing the baby for the sins of its father. If the life of the mother is in danger, every effort should be made to save both the mother and the baby.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Each man or woman is born with a sinful nature and will become more and more likely to give in to selfish motivations of greed, dishonesty, etc., the more power they are given.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am an evangelical, born-again Christian. I believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God and is the highest law and standard for our behavior. I believe that mankind is created in the image of God, but is born with a sinful nature. Since we must be holy, pure, and blameless to enter into heaven and to have fellowship with God, Jesus came to earth in human form, lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and rose again. If we accept God's free gift of salvation, we will have our sins forgiven and obtain eternal life. I believe in the sanctity of human life, marriage between a man and a woman, parental rights, limited government, and religious freedom.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Enacting business-friendly legislation with low taxes and fewer regulations encourages people to set up businesses here. Getting people off welfare encourages them to seek employment. Having quality education where students must behave, study, and learn makes them employable.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

Having fewer regulations on which companies can offer coverage in Texas and fewer regulations on the type of coverage they offer would help greatly.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government should boost the economy by keeping taxes and regulations low and staying out of the way of entrepreneurs as much as possible. Government should not choose winners and losers by providing corporate welfare for some companies and industries and not others.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

One legislative session with stellar, top notch conservative voting scores. A Bachelor of Business administration from Baylor University. Decades of volunteer work for conservative candidates and issues. Daughter of an entrepreneur and veteran. Worked in business. Married 36 years to same man. Raised 2 biological children, then fostered and adopted 2 teens from CPS. Have had children in public school, private school, and home school.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Other issues important to my district that I am working hard on and will continue to work on include: 1) obtaining funding and quickly building major flood mitigation projects, especially the "Third Reservoir" also called the Cypress Reservoir. 2) property tax reform or elimination and replacement with sales tax 3) blocking low income housing projects from our district
