They were well aware of the history of governments of the world and had a healthy distrust of a government that had too much power over the lives of their people.

Graduated High School at Lakewood in Lake Odessa in 1969, received a degree in Industrial Technologies at Lansing Community College in 1998. Decorated Viet Nam Infantry Veteran, Served as a Visual Tracker on a Combat Tracking Tream. Retired after 35 years from GM as a Machine Repairman/Machinist. I've been a member of a United Brethren Church, but don't have a "Home Church" at this time. I've ran for U.S. Congress several times, starting in 1992 when I received 13% of the vote. I ran for U.S. Senate in 1996 against NDAA author Carl Levin. In 2010 I was the Libertarian candidate for Governor of Michigan and unlike Gov. Snyder, I promised not to raise taxes.

Life Member of NRA & JWV. NRA certified Shooting Instructor., Gun Owners of America, Member of the Mackinac Center, Cato Institute, Amnesty International. I support anti-war organizations including groups that oppose our immoral drug wars.
