QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

If the U.S. Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade, North Carolina should repeal its law allowing abortion up to 20 weeks of pregnancy.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None. As horrible as rape and incest are, these horrific circumstances do not take away the humanity of the unborn. How they were conceived has nothing to do with their natural right to live. It is a grave injustice to give the death penalty to a baby for the crimes of their father. I also do not believe that directly killing an unborn baby is ever medically necessary to save the life of the mother. In RARE cases where the life of the mother is at risk, the mother should get the necessary help to save her life, and the doctor should do his best to save both mother and child. Sometimes this does result in the UNINTENDED death of the baby, especially if the baby is removed from the mother before viability or is exposed to chemo. However, this is not the same as abortion, which is an INTENTIONAL procedure meant to destroy the baby. Abortion advocates site these extremely rare circumstances as justification for totally unlimited abortions, despite only being less than 2% of all abort

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

To me it simply means government cannot establish an official religion, or force people to worship a God they do not believe in. However, while I would never force someone to believe in Christianity, which is actually impossible anyways, as its free choice you have to believe in Jesus or not, I will LEAD in a way that follows what the word of God says. Simply put I will Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves(Proverbs 31:8). I will proudly defend the unborn. I will protect business owners from having to make cakes or other items that go against their christian beliefs, and will fight for the persecuted and pursue justice. I will ALWAYS stand with Israel and the Jewish people, and I will always seek wisdom from the Lord. I believe that, from biblical and historical example, you want God fearing leaders in government. The bible even says "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." (proverbs 29:2).

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

1. I believe hospitals should be more transparent about prices for services. When you order food from a restaurant, you can see the prices. You know what you will get, and how much it costs. The same should go for hospitals. 2. Work to reduce administrative costs, thus reducing the overall cost. 3. Combat fraud, waste and abuse. 4. Greatly reduce fee for service. 5. find a way to reduce defensive medicine and tort reform that, still protects the patient, but reduces frivolous lawsuits.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State, sheriff and local law enforcement agencies should be required to participate in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) 287(g) Program to enhance the safety and security of their communities to identify and detain aliens.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I believe in LEGAL immigration. This is a country started by immigrants, with a deep history of immigration. You just have to do it legally. I support: -Immigration through marriage: I actually think it should be easier to marry a non US citizen. In this country marriage is on decline and if people wanna get married we should encourage and promote that, not make it hard. Right now it is INCREDIBLY expensive to marry a non US citizen, and the process is complicated and long. -Immigration because you have a special skill: If you have a special skill or mindset that can greatly help the success of this nation, we want you here. -Asylum- While we want to accept genuine asylum seekers, people who are under extreme threat of death or harm or people fleeing war, we must be smart about who we let in, and this includes deep vetting. We cannot just allow anyone in. I believe we must also work with allies to establish safe areas where political or religious asylum seekers can go.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

No Answer

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe that unless you have a criminal record or serious mental issues that would pose a threat to yourself and others, then you should be allowed to own guns. Obviously I believe in background checks, licences and permits( SHALL ISSUE) but I think laws that pose unnecessary or unreasonable burdens to gun owners are unconstitutional, and I will support your right to keep and bear arms.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Neutral

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1. I plan to re introduce the born alive act that failed because of a governor Cooper veto 2. We need a budget. It is ridiculous that, because of the games and activism in Raleigh, our state is without a working budget. I will work to change that. 3. I will also be working to reduce regulations for small business owners in North Carolina.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Economics: I support capitalism. I support free markets, and outside of basic regulations I believe businesses should have more freedom to operate as they please. Foreign Policy: I support a strong foreign policy where the United States leads in trade, defense, etc. We must support our allies and stand against our adversaries. I believe the United States should stand up and take the lead against communism, terrorism and human rights abuses across the globe. We should not turn a blind eye to human rights violations, from children in Syria to Christians being persecuted in China, and everything in between. We must also eradicate terrorism, and keep it from coming to our shores. I also FULLY support Israel, and believe we must fight against ALL forms of global antisemitism. That land belongs to Israel and Jerusalem IS and will ALWAYS BE the capital of Israel.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I have never held public office, however I have experience in other areas, 1. I have a political science degree 2. I have served as a member of a public transportation committee in Charlotte. 3. I have been involved in legislative advocacy. When I was part of the Christians United for Israel organization, we went to Washington to advocate, and meet with senators and congressional members to voice opposition to the Iran deal, to voice opposition to US foreign policy that sent financial support to the Palestinian authority, etc. 4. I have worked/ volunteered for several campaigns including former Mayoral candidate Edwin Peacock, Former congressman Robert Pittenger, congressman Dan Bishop, etc. 5.In college I was a student senator and my signature achievement was authoring a resolution to make Veterans day a holiday, so that those who had served could spend time with their families, go to a parade or do whatever. It passed the student senate unanimously.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

For question 23, in regards to teachers carrying guns, I marked "No answer" because it is a complicated matter that needs extra discussion.I think we can all agree that schools should be armed with security officers. I also support, and will advocate for more funding for mental health at the school age level, so that we can identify problems before they start. The same way we have school nurses, we should have mental health resources at school. So I am all for keeping our schools safe. When you allow teachers to be armed, you completely change things, and bring many questions along. What does the presence of a gun do to the kids in a classroom? How can we ensure the firearms will be properly secured? What about those teachers that overreact to students they don't like? Will a teacher actually be willing to shoot at a student that THEY taught? Im not saying I am against the idea, all I am saying is it needs deep debate.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.

Strongly Disagree

Parents should have the right to know what schools are teaching their children about sex and LGBT issues and should have the right to opt their children out of any instruction to which they object.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who believes in what the bible says. I believe in justice and what is good. I believe that God created the institution of government (Romans 13)and that government is supposed to do good, govern in an effective manner and protect the innocent.
