QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
I believe human life is valuable and deserves strong legal protection. At the same time, I recognize that these issues are deeply personal and often involve complex medical and family circumstances. Public policy should protect life while also showing compassion and recognizing the role of states, families, and medical professionals in difficult decisions.
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Schools should play a supportive and protective role when a student faces a crisis or unexpected pregnancy. Their first responsibility is to ensure the student’s safety and well-being by providing access to counseling, health services, and appropriate academic accommodations. Schools should notify parents or guardians so families can be involved in important decisions, unless there is a safety concern at home. While schools are not medical providers, they can connect students to appropriate healthcare resources and offer additional support—such as mental-health services, flexible scheduling, and protection from bullying—to help the student stay healthy and continue their education.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state means to me that we shouldn’t force one specific religion or its beliefs into our country, or make laws based solely on biblical ideology. I believe we should keep religion separate from government and make decisions based on our own morals, values, and what the country truly needs.
ECONOMY
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Agree
I believe we should forgive students for the debt they have from schooling because college has become so expensive and pursuing an education should not leave kids in overwhelming debt. However, some people misuse their student loans for degrees they don’t pursue, which is not fair to taxpayers. I support helping our students avoid excessive debt while also encouraging responsible use of loans.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
I support government funding of public education from Pre-K through college because I believe we need experienced people who care about education to make the right financial decisions. This includes supplying classrooms, hiring teachers, providing social services to help students succeed with the curriculum, ensuring student safety on buses, and protecting school campuses. I also believe parents should have a say in how taxpayer funds are used and know that education dollars are spent.
IMMIGRATION
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.
Strongly Agree
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) provides safety to Americans by identifying and detaining individuals who may pose serious threats, such as violent offenders, sex traffickers, and criminals involved in drug smuggling. By preventing these crimes, ICE helps protect families and communities, making people feel safer in the United States
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Strongly Disagree
I believe schools should focus on academics and essential education. Medical services, including abortion and gender-affirming care, and discussions on LGBTQ+ topics should be handled outside of school by families and qualified professionals, not provided or taught in the classroom.
Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
Children who engage in bad behavior should be placed in environments where they can learn from their mistakes. Providing consequences helps them understand that such actions are unacceptable, builds their character, and encourages better decision-making in the future. If students are allowed to act without accountability, they may continue misbehaving, make others feel unsafe, or even commit crimes at school. Ultimately, consequences help keep students safe and prepare them to make better choice
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
Yes, it is important for students to learn about the history of the United States and how the country developed, including events like gaining independence, participating in world wars, and addressing cultural issues. I also believe schools should cultivate American patriotism so students can take pride in their country and appreciate the struggles and progress that helped shape the freedoms and equality we have today.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Neutral
I believe eliminating the U.S. Department of Education could be good because states are better positioned to know how much funding each district needs and can allocate resources more effectively. At the same time, I recognize that the Department of Education provides important support to poorer districts, including funding and programs like school lunches, to ensure students receive a good quality education.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
I support teaching sexual education in schools, focusing on health, safety, and responsible choices. The topics I believe should be included are abstinence, consent, contraceptive methods, human anatomy and the reproductive system, physical and emotional health outcomes, and stages of pregnancy and fetal development. I do not believe schools should teach abortion methods, sexual acts or pleasures, or sexual orientation and gender identity, as these topics are better addressed by families.
It is discriminatory for a school district to cause academically eligible students to forfeit participation in U.I.L. competition when the student opts for instruction outside of the public school system.
Strongly Agree
Yes, I believe that regardless of what school a student attends or what type of education they are receiving, they should be allowed to participate in sports and competitions with other students at the same grade level. Allowing this ensures that all families and students are treated fairly and have the opportunity to compete.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.
Strongly Agree
Yes, I believe public schools should focus on academics like math, reading, and science to help students gain the skills they need for corporate or trade jobs. Schools should also help students develop character and explore their interests so they can succeed after graduation, feel included in society, and become financially independent. By supporting both academics and personal growth, schools prepare students for meaningful careers and responsible citizenship.
School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.
Strongly Agree
Yes, I believe school choice can create healthy competition, encouraging public schools to improve their educational programs, teaching methods, and resources. When families have options, schools are motivated to provide higher-quality education to meet the needs of students and prepare them for future success.
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Strongly Agree
Only law enforcement personnel or school staff who are properly trained to carry firearms should be allowed to have a gun on campus. In an active shooter situation, having trained individuals with the proper equipment could help protect students and staff and prevent the district from failing to respond effectively.

Moderate
I am open-minded and listen to all sides of an issue before making a decision. I strive to make choices that are fair and in the best interest of all Americans.
VALUES
Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Disagree
I believe there are two genders, and men should not participate in women’s sports due to differences in athletic ability and hormones. Students should have separate locker rooms and bathrooms to ensure safety and comfort for everyone. This approach helps maintain fairness and equality for all athletes and students while respecting personal boundaries in school.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian, and my faith guides my values and decisions. It teaches me to live with honesty, integrity, kindness, and respect for others. My beliefs encourage me to serve my community, act responsibly, and make choices that positively impact those around me.
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
Yes, I believe the government should recognize and support the fundamental right and responsibility of parents to guide their child’s health, education, and overall well-being. Parents know their children best and should have a primary role in decisions about their care and learning.
I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
Strongly Agree
Yes, I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. I believe students should learn to treat others with respect, fairness, and equality, focusing on character, actions, and values instead of race.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
I believe marriage is a God-ordained, sacred, and legal union between one man and one woman. I do not believe the government should alter this definition, as it reflects both religious principles and traditional values that I support. but I also believe that people should have the freedom to choose who they want to be with in their personal lives.
Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.
Strongly Agree
I believe mental health conditions, such as anorexia and gender dysphoria, should be addressed and treated by qualified medical and mental health professionals. Schools should focus on supporting students’ well-being and providing appropriate resources, while ensuring that treatments are guided by professionals rather than affirming conditions without proper care.
School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.
Neutral
I believe books with literary value should be taught in schools so students can learn important lessons and values. At the same time, I do not want students exposed to explicit or inappropriate content, so I believe all books should be carefully reviewed before being included in school libraries.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I believe every person in the U.S. should be required to show a valid ID when voting to confirm their identity. This helps ensure that only eligible American citizens are voting and prevents fraud, keeping elections safe and secure for everyone.
