QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Public funds should be directed toward essential services, not abortion providers. This includes ending taxpayer funding—direct or indirect—to organizations such as Planned Parenthood through programs like Title X.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
We should focus more on supporting mothers, families, adoption, and prenatal care—so fewer women ever feel like abortion is their only option.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Agree
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Agree
Human life does not lose its value because it was created through artificial means. I believe human embryos deserve protection and should not be purposefully destroyed.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Agree
Federal law should be enforced as written, including the Comstock Act. At the same time, enforcement should be clear, consistent, and focused on preventing the unlawful distribution of abortion-inducing drugs, while ensuring legitimate medical care and lawful prescriptions are not disrupted.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
As a former small business owner, I understand firsthand how payroll mandates impact hiring, prices, and job growth. I believe wages should rise because businesses are thriving and workers are gaining skills—not because government mandates force high
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Agree
As a former small business owner, I’ve seen firsthand how free enterprise and strong private property rights drive job creation, innovation, and economic growth. These principles are essential to a productive and resilient economy.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
Zero-Based Budgeting & Performance Audits Eliminate Redundant Programs & Bureaucracy Accountability for Taxpayer-Funded Contracts End Corporate Welfare & Special-Interest Subsidies Modernize Government Operations
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state” means that the government cannot establish or control a religion, and churches should not run the government. It does not mean that people of faith must leave their values at the door or be excluded from the public square. Americans are free to live out their beliefs, speak openly, and participate fully in civic life without government interference.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Individuals and businesses should not be forced by the government to provide services that violate their moral or religious beliefs. Protecting freedom of conscience and religious liberty is a core constitutional principle, and no one should be compelled to act against deeply held beliefs to participate in society or earn a living.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Medicaid and Medicare should remain available for those who depend on them, but no additional taxpayer-funded healthcare programs are necessary. I believe we should focus on strengthening existing programs, increasing affordability through competition and transparency, and protecting patient choice—rather than expanding government control over healthcare.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
The government should not maintain databases tracking individuals’ medical illnesses. However, I do support hospitals and medical providers using secure, limited databases to improve patient care and help prevent prescription drug abuse by allowing doctors to see what medications have already been prescribed. These tools should be focused on patient safety, privacy, and clinical care—not government surveillance or economic profiling.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The relationship between the United States and Israel is critically important because Israel is a key democratic ally in the Middle East, a vital partner in intelligence and counterterrorism, and a strategic force for regional stability. Supporting Israel strengthens U.S. national security, protects shared democratic values, and helps deter hostile regimes and terrorist organizations that threaten both nations.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Disagree
I do not support sanctuary cities. Local governments should cooperate with state and federal law enforcement to uphold the rule of law and protect public safety. Policies that shield individuals from lawful immigration enforcement undermine accountability and put communities at risk.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and returning control of education to states, local communities, and parents. Education decisions are best made closest to the students they serve—not by a distant federal bureaucracy.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Agree
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education. Our schools and universities must remain accountable to students, parents, and taxpayers—not influenced by foreign interests that may conflict with U.S. values, national security, or academic independence.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Agree
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right—and essential duty—of parents to direct their child’s health and educational well-being. Parents, not bureaucrats, are best positioned to make decisions in the best interest of their children.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse. Children deserve protection, age-appropriate care, and the time to develop without being subjected to irreversible decisions or social pressures that can cause long-term harm.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Neutral
I believe marriage, as defined by faith traditions, is a sacred union. At the same time, I recognize that government’s role is to define and administer civil marriage under the law. Religious institutions should retain full freedom to define and practice marriage according to their beliefs, without government interference, and no church or faith community should ever be compelled to recognize or perform a marriage that conflicts with its doctrine.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Agree
I support allowing the expansion of gambling in our state because, under current law, Texans are spending billions of dollars gambling in neighboring states instead of keeping that economic activity at home. Estimates suggest Texans wager as much as $8 billion annually outside the state and that Texas loses an estimated ~$300 million in potential tax revenue to other states like Louisiana, Oklahoma, and New Mexico by not offering legal gambling options.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I grew up in the Church of Christ, where my father was a preacher, and that upbringing instilled in me a strong sense of service, personal responsibility, and respect for others. While my faith shapes my values, I believe in protecting religious freedom and treating everyone with dignity, regardless of their beliefs.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voting is a fundamental right, and protecting the integrity of elections is essential to maintaining public trust. Requiring photo identification is a common-sense measure that helps prevent fraud, ensures fair elections, and treats voting with the same level of security required for many everyday activities. Reasonable ID requirements can be implemented while still ensuring eligible voters have access to the ballot.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
I do not support reparations based on race. Public policy should treat individuals equally under the law and focus on addressing current challenges—such as education, economic opportunity, and community safety—without dividing people by race or assigning responsibility based on ancestry.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
Biological differences matter, and policies should protect fairness, safety, and privacy for women and girls. Women’s sports and women-only spaces—such as bathrooms, locker rooms, shelters, and prisons—exist to ensure equal opportunity and personal safety, and those protections should be preserved.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Disagree
I do not believe man-made climate change requires urgent, sweeping political action that would harm the economy or limit personal freedom. Environmental stewardship is important, but policies should be based on sound science, cost–benefit analysis, and practical solutions—not fear-driven mandates that raise energy costs, hurt working families, or weaken American competitiveness.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Natural gas is the most reliable source to meet growing electricity demand, supported by an all-of-the-above energy strategy focused on reliability and affordability.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I consider myself a conservative because I believe in limited government, personal responsibility, free enterprise, strong national defense, and the protection of individual liberties, including religious freedom. My views are shaped by a commitment to the Constitution, public service, and practical solutions that put families, workers, and communities first.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system should be to protect public safety, hold offenders accountable, and ensure justice is applied fairly and consistently. Growing up with a father who served as a police chief, and through my own career in public service, I learned firsthand the importance of supporting victims, respecting the rule of law, and ensuring consequences for crime—while allowing opportunities for rehabilitation when appropriate.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Agree
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities. This includes enforcing existing laws, holding offenders accountable, and supporting reasonable safeguards that help parents, schools, and law enforcement keep children safe—while respecting constitutional rights and privacy.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated into the U.S. legal system. American law must be based on the U.S. Constitution and applied equally to all citizens. Religious laws or doctrines—of any faith—should not override constitutional rights, civil liberties, or the rule of law in the United States.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Law-abiding citizens should not face additional restrictions on gun ownership. The focus of public safety should be on enforcing existing laws, keeping firearms out of the hands of violent criminals, and holding offenders accountable—not burdening responsible gun owners. Protecting constitutional rights and protecting public safety are not mutually exclusive.
