QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The Creator God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel created humanity in His image. Scripture reveals God forming humans at conception with foreknowledge of each individual. This indicates the most vulnerable human beings are destined for birth and growth into adulthood until natural death. Human life is so important to God that the death penalty is His justice for murder. Pharmacies and medical facilities should be prosecuted for circumventing state antiabortion laws with abortion pills.

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

Schools must consult with parents and only offer assistance to students regarding unwanted or crisis pregnancy with parental involvement. Since the murder of preborn babies is illegal in Texas, schools should inform families of Texas law. Schools should establish relationships with crisis pregnancy centers that believe in the sanctity of human life, such as the Pregnancy Center of the Coastal Bend, and direct families to them. Unlike Planned Parenthood, these organizations are staffed with administrators, nurses and counselors who can provide related counseling and resources, options against abortion, information on the danger of abortion pills, prenatal ultrasounds, parenting classes, and childcare supplies and accessories.

ECONOMY

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

The concept of student loan forgiveness does not hold individuals who apply for student loans accountable to repay the loans they receive. Since the government took over the federal student loan program in 2010, the forgiveness of such loans is simply wasting taxes, causing the government to go further in debt, which adversely affects those not responsible for student debt. It also helps promote an entitlement mindset, which does not align with accountability, a core national value.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

The federal government funding of public education from pre-K through college is another example of government overreach. The government funding of public education is not among the enumerated powers listed in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution. Additionally, all government funding including grants come with strings attached. Such was the case with the Biden administration that threatened defunding schools that did not accept its gender identity and sexual orientation policies.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

With regard to public schools, what does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The concept of the “separation of church and state” is not found in the Constitution of the United States. The First Amendment states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishing of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” Freedom of religion does not mean freedom from religion. Misunderstanding of this clause has resulted in legal license to commit immoral acts, causing grave societal harm. Just laws align with God’s laws, providing safety, security, and justice.

IMMIGRATION

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enhances the safety and security of communities by identifying and detaining illegal aliens.

Strongly Agree

Although Citizens participate in crimes against others, illegal aliens are not afforded the opportunity to engage in criminal activities if ICE identifies, detains, and deports them. Although uncovered by the main stream media, there are countless crimes that illegal aliens commit. We ensured that my wife entered the country legally. She is a naturalized U.S. Citizen who embraces our nation’s values. Naturalized citizens who disdain our values should be stripped of citizenship and deported.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

No organization that promotes eugenics and depopulation ideologies should be allowed to influence school curricula, have published materials and books in school libraries, or provide any type of service within schools. Since its inception, Planned Parenthood has become the premiere advocate to infuse the education system with information, “gender-affirming care” and "women’s reproductive health” (aka abortion) to oppose healthy, traditional families. Stop indoctrinating our next generations!

Consequences for bad behavior create a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Consequences for bad behavior needs to be standardized throughout the district, not only limited to campuses for the “gifted and talented.” Parents should instill good behavior, and if not, schools should enforce it. Without discipline, teachers cannot gain and keep student attention. Without student attention, teachers cannot teach students. Without being taught, students cannot learn and be educated. Students need a safe, secure, disciplined environment that fosters effective learning.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

Instruction in America's founding documents ensures a well-informed and educated citizenry. Unconstitutional ideologies and Marxist concepts thrive because of widespread Constitutional ignorance and forgotten founding principles. Politicians regularly claim that the United States is a democracy when it is in fact a Constitutional Republic. The United States was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and government is established to secure our unalienable rights. We must emphasize U.S. civics!

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

The 1979 creation of the U.S. Department of Education added a new arm to government overreach, which has implemented failed educational programs that have destroyed the effectiveness of public education, shifting it from education to indoctrination. Eradicating this department, which is influenced by teacher unions, and returning education to the states and communities will save federal taxes and create a more competitive education system that will improve education throughout the nation.

If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development

Sex education is a parental responsibility. Notwithstanding parental authority, Biology includes the study of human anatomy, the reproductive system and stages of pregnancy and fetal development, so these three topics are acceptable in public classrooms given full disclosure to parents. Abstinence until marriage should be emphasized.

It is discriminatory for a school district to cause academically eligible students to forfeit participation in U.I.L. competition when the student opts for instruction outside of the public school system.

Strongly Agree

School districts must ensure that all academically eligible students have equal opportunities to participate in U.I.L. competition regardless of parental decision to educate their children outside of the public school system. Home and unaccredited private and charter school students who excel academically should have the opportunity to excel athletically. Preventing them from U.I.L. participation is manipulative and is an affront to individual liberty, the established fabric of our nation!

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, American History, Civics, Vocational Learning, Information Technology, Foreign Language, Physical Fitness, Personal Finances, Art & Music.

Public schools should prioritize academic achievement and building character necessary to preserve American traditions and self-government.

Strongly Agree

Schools should work with parents to develop well-educated Citizens who stand firmly on the founding principles and traditions of our nation to ensure self-government. The best way to achieve this is to ensure academic instruction focuses on developing character, critical thinking and mastery of reading, English, mathematics, history, science, and civics. This will ensure as President Lincoln stated, "government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

School choice creates competition, and that competition will push public schools to improve their educational systems.

Strongly Agree

Competition has been the engine that compels growth and ingenuity in our capitalistic economy; it has made the United States a great nation, given God’s providence. Public schools are losing student enrollment because parents seek better educational opportunities for their children. Without focusing on nonacademic reasons, prudent public-school districts will strive to improve student education to increase student enrollment. Competition is the advocate, not the enemy, of better public schools.

VALUES

Biological males should be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

Allowing males to compete against females at any age directly undermines the purpose of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 to protect women in sports. Allowing males who masquerade as females to compete against females strip them of collegiate and Olympic opportunities/achievements. Undeniably, males are physically stronger than women; therefore, females suffering from gender dysphoria do not compete in male sports. And, male access to female facilities fosters unsafe environments.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have strong conservative values with a Biblical worldview. I believe in the inerrant word of God as provided in Scripture, the entire Bible, as the source of truth, wisdom, and morality. I believe that the Creator God (YHWH), the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel gave His Son Yeshua Ha'Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah) to be the Pesach (Passover Lamb) for the atonement for sin. And His resurrection and outpouring of His Spirit, established the new covenant with Israel and Judah, in which gentiles are grafted into through their trust in Him. This means that as His disciple, I am required to remain in covenant with Him, keeping His commands as His Spirit leads me, sharing His plan of salvation and making disciples of others.

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Parents have God-given rights to direct their children’s health and educational well-being. As specified in the Declaration of Independence, governments are instituted among men to secure the unalienable rights endowed by God. Parental rights are implied by the phrase “that among these are…” Any attempt to usurp unalienable rights, including parental rights, is unconstitutional and shifts us closer to totalitarianism and tyranny. This was closest to occurring under the Biden administration.

I support the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., that people should be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.

Strongly Agree

As outlined in the 14th Amendment, Section 1, all native born or naturalized Citizens who are subject to the jurisdiction of the United States are given equal protection of the laws, this was further codified by the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which outlawed discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin. Overt discrimination is rare. Institutionally, U.S. Citizens have equal opportunity to succeed and prosper, the main hinderance being self-determination.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

This is an essential truth that must be safeguarded because families are the building block of strong communities and societies. Children who grow up in strong, nurturing families with both parents (fathers and mothers) are less likely to commit crime, choose unhealthy lifestyles, and become homeless than children who grow up in broken or abusive homes. Additionally, fathers and mothers are complements within homes and in child development, because God created males and females differently.

Mental health conditions such as anorexia and gender dysphoria need to be treated, not affirmed.

Strongly Agree

All types of mental health and psychological disorders, which include anorexia (its related bulimia) and gender dysphoria required prompt treatment, especially when affecting children. I believe that the earlier the diagnosis and treatment, the more effective the treatment will be to regain mental health. I would recommend Christian-based counselors and therapist for the most effective long-term treatment.

School library books that have literary value, as determined by experts, should be exempt from obscenity laws.

Strongly Disagree

Parents, teachers, school administrators, librarians and all who work with children should safeguard the innocent, impressionable minds of children. It is unconscionable that any school librarian or official would attempt to include sexually explicit, moral degenerate, or gender denying (dubbed “gender-affirming) transgender material in school libraries by classifying them as expert-determined books having literary value. This makes those who do such things culpable to child abuse.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

The U.S. Congress should promptly pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act and send it to the President for his signature into law! Photo identification is required for air travel, banking, and various other legal acts, so it must be required for voting, the essential part of our Constitutional Republic. Proof of citizenship must also be enforced during voter registration. This will ensure that only native born or naturalized U.S. Citizens vote in any election! Stop voter fraud!

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2014 Republican Primary 2014 General Election 2016 Republican Primary 2016 General Election 2018 Republican Primary 2018 General Election 2020 Republican Primary 2020 General Election 2022 Republican Primary 2022 General Election

I vote my conservative, biblical-worldview values and evaluate candidates and policies based solely on Scripture when it provides clear and moral guidance on particular issues. I disqualify any candidate, regardless of the office, who does not support the sanctity of human life at all stages, who does not support marriage as God-ordained between one man and one woman, who supports transgender ideologies, who is a Jew-hater, or who does not embrace the founding principles of our nation.

What political party are you affiliated with?

The Republican Party

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to immigration and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

My conservative values derive from a Biblical worldview. I believe that the Bible is the word of God and that all prophecy contained therein has materialize and/or will come true. God will hold me responsible for everything that I do, this includes voting for those who oppose His ways and truth or defy Him. Therefore, I stand on and vote Judeo-Christian values without compromise. I am the Chair of Precinct 129 on the Nueces County Republican Party, because it closely aligns with my values.

2ND AMENDMENT

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.

Strongly Agree

The safety and security of children is of utmost importance. Armed and trained faculty only hardens the security posture of schools by augmenting armed security and school district police. Consider the many instances when an armed and trained citizen thwarted a gunman’s attempt to kill multiple bystanders.
