RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Vic believes in a woman's right to seek an abortion in NJ but opposes use of taxpayers' money on a state level to fund the procedure. Individuals living in the state will continue to disagree when the life begins, and whether the role of the State should be to be involved in abortion. The purpose of any punishment when it comes to law, is to convince the accused that the committed crime is murder - something that is lacking when it comes to the view of abortion among millions of people.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
Vic supports safety standards, when it comes to abortion drugs. If one believes that abortion is murder, increasing the risk to the health of the mother, would not be a solution to abortion. At the same time, taxpayers on a state level, should not be subsidizing chemical abortion drugs.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Vic is strongly opposed to taxpayer funding of abortions on a state level, as he believes that it is immoral to force the taxpayers who believe that abortion is murder, to subsidize the procedure.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
Vic supports the right of an individual, with the consent of loved ones, and a multiple number of medical professionals, to confirm the soundness of mind of the patient, to end one's life, when the level of pain and suffering, becomes unbearable for the patient, and the possibility of a recovery is completely ruled out. Currently, hospices do allow for the mutually agreeable decisions to end of life procedures. A natural right to life, includes one's right to control life.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Vic opposes the State government closing down churches, since the freedom of religion is a natural right to liberty. Our rights do not come from the US Constitution. They are natural rights - a right to life, liberty, and property, that we are all born with.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Vic strongly opposes individuals and businesses to be required to provide services even if they violate moral and/or religious beliefs, as not consistent with the natural right to moral and or religious liberty.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Disagree
Vic sees Chinese nationals owning less than 1% of all land held by foreigners in the US. The US federal government spends 3 times more on its military than the Chinese government.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Vic sees individuals as having a right to buy or not to buy products from other countries. No foreign government should be given preferential treatment over others. Individuals should be free to trade or not to trade with people in other countries. A natural right to liberty - freedom of speech, includes a right to criticize any government, whether it is foreign, federal, state, or local. No NJ tax dollars should be given to foreign governments.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Vic supports the idea that individuals should be making decisions as to what type of healthcare and insurance they should be able to have. The same way, that people can choose a variety of different auto insurance policies, they should have choice when it comes to health insurance. On a state level, Medicare cannot be defunded.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
If an employer requires vaccinations, then that would be the policy of the employer, and an employee can choose to work or not to work for that company. Schools should be able to set their own policies, without State funding.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Vic supports a natural right to life, liberty, and property. A natural right to property is an essential element of a productive economic system. The example of the Soviet Union, where private property was outlawed and the economic model was based on the decisions of the few, led to the lack of goods and innovation, with the USSR lagging behind the United States, in terms of technology and consumer choices.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Vic supports an agreement between consenting adults as to the amount of what the wage should be, as well as the any other details regarding employment offers.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
Choose not to answer
Vic sees the purpose of the State government to consist of protecting the natural rights of the people to life, liberty, and property. The State government cannot "invest" money that does not belong to itself, but to the people. When pollution occurs, a polluter-pays-principle must apply. There should be no discrimination by the State government based on one's race, gender, religion, etc.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Choose not to answer
Vic sees the State government of New Jersey as not being adjacent to the southern border of the US and having no constitutional power to control the southern US border. The state of New Jersey should have background checks on those who are coming to New Jersey to seek work, as they come alone or with their families, for safety and health purposes. Private organizations can become their sponsors, without any use of New Jersey tax dollars, to provide housing and other services.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Neutral
Vic is an advocate for Parental Choice in applying for public schools across municipal lines, charter schools, private schools, and homeschooling. However, the money should not be coming from the State government.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Neutral
Vic supports decriminalization on a State level of nonviolent, victimless crimes. If at a local level, it is decided that this would mean more money for community programs, local governments should have the power to make those decisions.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Individuals have a natural right to life, liberty, and property. Our rights do not come from the US Constitution. We are born with them. An individual has a natural right to protect one's property.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
No
Vic does not believe that the State government should be ordering municipal governments what types of policies local governments should have regarding public schools. However, Vic does support the concept of armed guards, as some students may pose a risk to other students and teachers, if they could get the possession of teachers' guns. This would pose a risk to life of other people.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Your natural rights are to life, liberty, and property - the inalienable rights you are born with. The purpose of the State government is to protect these rights.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Choose not to answer
Libertarian
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Agree
Children cannot give conscious consent to irreversible life decisions. Adults own their bodies and have a right to make their own decisions regarding them. Ultimately, the parents should have the power to send their children to schools, that would be in line with their values, without control by the State government of New Jersey.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Vic is an advocate for Parental Choice in applying for public schools across municipal lines, charter schools, private schools, and homeschooling.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Neutral
Vic believes marriage licenses should be replaced with basic contracts between consenting adults.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Vic will defend your natural rights to life, liberty, and property - the inalienable rights you are born with. The purpose of the State government is to protect these rights. Vic supports the intervention of the State government to protect the natural rights of the people of New Jersey, when are being violated.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Agree
In the studied elections, The Brennan Center for Justice found incident rates for voter fraud to be between 0.0003% and 0.0025%.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
Vic supports Electoral College, which is in line with the US Constitution. It does reduce the influence of states with bigger populations in controlling presidential election outcomes. This leads to presidential election winners who have a national, rather than regional support.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
On a state level, racism is not a threat to the domestic security, unless it manifests itself in the form of violence, based on race, or the discrimination by the State government based on race.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Neutral
Vic does not see the institutions as generally inherently racist. However, historically, such public policies as redlining, criminal justice conviction rates and racial disparities in sentencing and laws, have had a disproportionate impact on race.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Neutral
The State government should not be deciding the makeup of sports teams. Sports teams may decide to have separate teams for other than two genders. It is understandable that when faced with biological males, the level of discomfort and perceived threat that a number of biological women could be experiencing in locker rooms would be unnerving to them. Biological women should be free not to associate with such organizations. State prisons should have separate facilities for the different groups.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
Air and water should be included into the legal system of property rights for the purposes of litigation against polluters. The "polluter pays principle" and property rights should be enforced to control pollution.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
It is not up to the State government, but up to consumers to make such decisions, based on their needs.
