RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

I would not vote for a federal ban on abortion.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
The mothers discretion in most cases. When it is determined conclusively that the child will be born without the biological ability to survive outside of the womb.

I do not believe the constitution gives the federal government the power to regulate individuals bodily autonomy.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
James Madison emphasized that religion was a matter of individual conscience and could not be directed by the government in any way. The original settlers from Europe knew the problems with the fusion of church and state. Separation is to protect both; the state from church and the church from state.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C We can't make the same mistake every world empire has made: over extension and economic destruction.

We planted the economic seeds for what is now modern China and we should be able to continue working with them for mutual benefit.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Our relationship with Israel is historic and therefore important. That land has been fought over for thousands of years. I personally know people from Israel and I empathize with their desire for life without constant attack. I also realize claiming your stake on that territory is historically tragic. I do not think the people of TN District 4 should have their paychecks used to fund foreign nations unless they do so voluntarily.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
Young people know that the U.S. Military is used to protect international corporations and the U.S Dollar not their homes and family. The Project for a New American Century is a disaster. We want sound money and free trade, not inflation and forever wars. Too much of our military budget is about business not defense.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Private firms can require vaccination but it shouldn't be under the direction of a government entity. Governments can require vaccinations as a prerequisite of employment but should not mandate vaccinations for the general public.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. We can't flip a switch and end a program that helps millions of people. We do need to adapt to the future. This means more emphasis on telehealth, health savings accounts, direct primary care, and a decoupling of government subsidies with the healthcare industry because all its doing is raising prices. Everyone knows it.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
I would vote to repeal the 16th amendment. I would vote to curtail deficit spending. I would vote against capital gains taxes on crypto gains. Individual retirement accounts should be tax free on the front end and the back end.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

I would vote to eliminate interest rates on student loans. However, I believe students should pay back the principle.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

If we must have a Federal government, it must secure the borders. It is constitutionally mandated.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Short term workers who are sponsored and vouched for by domestic firms. People who want to live here long term and assimilate.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Voucher programs should be limited because they give government institutions a side door into private schools.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Since its inception, the DOE has not proven itself to be a net gain to the general education standards of Americans. I'm open to seeing data that shows Americans are indeed more intelligent on average since 1980 because of this institution.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

While I support ending the outdated federal war on drugs, states, counties, and municipalities have the authority to direct their funds as they wish.

While I lean right on economics and left on social issues I am radically for Liberty of the individual. This makes me a Libertarian.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The constitution clearly spells out the roll of The Federal Government. It is to protect our god given rights and to limit itself as much as possible.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Marriage is indeed a biblical word. However its also a legal arrangement. If two people are willing to expose their finances to each other and include a judge then they have a right to do that as a legal entity.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in god but I am not certain god is actively manipulating my life. I want to believe that I direct my future in some way even if its to the left, right, fast, or slow parts of gods river. I am honest to a fault and I thank my family for that. I have a calling to serve the people of district 4 and I feel like I'm about as in touch as you can get for a guy trying to represent this district. I'm a local entrepreneur, I love Tennessee, I'm focused on economics, and I care about people. I feel like economics is upstream from nearly everything we are struggling with. When they say prices are up because of greedy corporations I say prices are up because there's too much government involvement in the market. I think you agree.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Unfortunately we need ID to vote because there are dishonest people ruining this for everyone. Many states have already implemented this policy. Tennessee is one of them.
The Electoral College should be abolished.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Firms that pollute and violate private property rights should be sued via class action. This should be dealt with in the courts. The market is shifting on its own because cleaner energy production and storage is becoming cheaper.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear power including Thorium and Hydrogen Fuel Cells. I believe in an all of the above strategy. As an electrician I feel like a home battery should be as standard as a water heater.
