QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Choose not to answer
Abstinence must be taught in Family life curriculum and the school division must have a process in place to ensure teen mothers are provided pathways to complete their high school diploma (e.g., dual enrollment through community college online, enrollment in the digital campus, or K-12, all online opportunities that could be leveraged).
What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?
Provide students with an educational background and thus future opportunities so that unwanted pregnancies are unthinkable (i.e. understand the consequences and responsibilities of pregnancy before conception, and have an educational foundation for which students can plan their family future). The schools must have relationships and partner with medical facilities to help families get access to medical treatment desired in times of crisis, so that the student gets care and direction by a trained expert.
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
These are essential elements of the foundation of our great Nation.
What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
Government funding of public education from K through 12 should be available to all taxpayers who desire to have their children go to a Public School. Parents, students, and teachers should be confident in their Public Schools, so they are assured of the promotion of academic excellence, quality teachers, parental involvement, safe classrooms and fiscal responsibility. College may not be the best option for all students after high school graduation (i.e. it may be Trade School, employment etc).
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Choose not to answer
EDUCATION
Abortion and gender-affirming providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.
Disagree
Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.
Strongly Agree
The "spectrum of discipline" begins with a simple discussion with the student regarding how to treat and respect others around you, what are the expectations regarding the behavior of all students, the enforcement of those expectations, the involvement of parents when required, and the backing of teachers in the classroom by their administrators in the school. Negative behavior negatively impacts all students, so rules must be enforced.
Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?
Yes
There is no need for secrecy regarding material available and taught to the students of our Public Schools. Taxpayers should be able to see how their taxpayer dollars are being utilized.
Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.
Strongly Agree
This is a great Nation to which many people around the world desire to come and share in the values of our great Nation. Just like we as Americans should be respectful and understanding of the foundational background of other nations when we are guests there, we should be proud of America that is striving for equality for all. There are many documents in place that give us as Americans the liberties we enjoy, so it should not be lost in how the melting pot of America gives us that opportunity.
I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Choose not to answer
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Disagree
Some commonality and oversight of the performance of our schools will ensure that our schools across this great Nation meet certain requirements. Schools need to be held accountable, and schools should be reporting accurate information regarding student performance.
Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning
Language Arts, American History, Mathematics, Art & Music, Science, Physical Fitness, Information Technology, Civics, Foreign Language, Vocational Learning, and Personal Finances.
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Neutral
Taxpayer resources should be effectively used to provide a school system that is a sound opportunity for each student.
Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?
Equality of opportunities.
Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.
(A) Opt-In.
VALUES
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a strong Christian who strongly believes in respecting all those around you and treating others the way you desire to be treated.
Who is responsible for teaching sexual education to children, and what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?
Trained professionals, at various levels, and before incorrect decisions are made by students who have not been educated and made aware of implications on their future.
If you support the teaching of Sex Ed, please answer the following question: Sexual education should include these topics (list all that apply and add your own, if needed) -- abortion methods and side effects; abstinence; consent; contraceptive methods; human anatomy/the reproductive system; physical and emotional health outcomes; sex acts and pleasures of sex; sexual orientation and gender identity; stages of pregnancy and fetal development
With parents opting in, the basics of what is abstinence, consent, human anatomy / the reproductive system, and the stages of pregnancy and fetal development are good overviews students should be aware of. Abortion methods and side effects, contraceptive methods, physical and emotional health outcomes, sex acts and pleasures of sex, sexual orientation and gender identity are areas left to parental oversight to instill the family values on the child versus the schools, or the teachers, from imposing values on the students in these areas.
Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.
Strongly Agree
Every child has a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration.
Children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming (including drag shows and explicit materials) in schools and libraries.
Agree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.
Neutral
Marriage is a private, personal decision and every individual can certainly contribute to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society regardless of their marital choice.
Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.
Strongly Agree
Parental involvement in all aspects of their child's development is crucial.
Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.
Strongly Agree
The parents of minors (i.e. individuals not of an age to bear responsibility for their actions) must have full and timely access to any and all records associated with their minor children.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Disagree
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
If these were allowed, we are not protecting the rights of women.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I always like to avoid the "ends of the spectrum" to ensure separation from any potential extreme views.
2ND AMENDMENT
Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
Choose not to answer
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.
Strongly Disagree
Certainly the health and well-being of the students are priorities just as are their education and development. Having individual school districts making individual decisions to mandate masks and vaccines, or to close schools, when it is not required, will lead to massive gap in the students' education and development that does not best prepare them moving forward. There can be health precautions taken that do not hinder the development of the student, and these must be considered and followed.
