QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

To save the life of the mother. Some provision to allow it may be necessary in cases of rape and incest, which would have to be evaluated on an individual case basis based upon the age of the mother and/or the possibility of traumas that could adversely affect the life of the mother in the future.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

When the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs Wade they said that abortion rights are to be determined by the states, not the Federal Government. Therefore, I would not be able to support Federal legislation directly limiting abortion. However, there are other things that can be done at the federal level to protect life, the most important in my opinion being the passage of the Life at Conception Act which would then provide constitutional protection for life at all stages. In addition, the government could establish regulations with respect to abortion services such as requiring all abortions to be performed by a licensed physician, requiring a 48 hour cooling off period with counseling to explain what an abortion does, requiring an ultrasound of the baby be shown to the mother before any abortion can be performed and prohibiting abortions on minors without parental consent.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

Reduce government spending by eliminating unnecessary agencies and programs so that we could cut taxes, reduce or eliminate many government regulations on businesses and eliminate the Green New Deal programs and return to energy independence.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Only that the state cannot establish a state religion and thereby prohibit the free exercise of other religions. It does not prohibit the expression of religious beliefs by the government or its employees nor prohibit the use of government facilities for religious activities.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Each person starts a business with the idea of providing certain services or products to the people. The owner should have the right to choose whether he wants to do business or not with someone who is asking for services or products that they do not normally provide, or who wants him to provide them in a way that goes against his beliefs. The owner, not the government, knows what is best for his business.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

No vaccine should be allowed to be used until it has been thoroughly tested and proven effective. School vaccines have proven effective in reducing childhood diseases and should be required, but with exceptions for parental or religious beliefs.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C. As medical costs continue to rise Medicare is a help for retirees living on a fixed income. It’s cost is offset a little by the payroll deduction they paid each month while working and any monthly premiums they might now be paying.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

B. We should be willing to help countries trying to fight tyranny if the country asks for help, but only if it can be done without causing harm to the interests and sovereignty of the US.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

When the United States recognized Israel as a nation in 1948, along with all the other nations that did so, we made a commitment to support them and be an ally to them, something that has not changed over the years despite the efforts of some people. In addition, as we saw under President Trump, support for Israel can bring about peace in the Middle East (Abraham Accord). Besides that, as we bless Israel, we in turn will be blessed.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

The woke agenda that has replaced support for our troops and their beliefs both while serving and afterwards. No one wants to serve under officers who are promoting a political agenda rather than military readiness, nor do they want to have someone by their side who is not able to fight well and help defend them.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Only those who apply through the established immigration process and who will not be a burden to the country but can contribute to its economic wellbeing. Family members of US citizens who reside in other countries and are experiencing hardships should also be allowed to immigrate, with special preference for older parents who may have no one to care for them.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Bible believing Christian who believes in the power of prayer and in putting God first in my life, family and work. God’s principle should be followed whenever new laws or regulations are being considered at all levels of government because “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord “. I believe in honesty and integrity, in putting the Word of God into practice in my life and let it be what guides me in making decisions.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Disagree

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

At the moment, fossil fuels. Currently around 80% of electricity comes from fossil fuel plants. The infrastructure is already in place. Wind and solar will never be able to supply all our electricity needs, even less if government pushes EVs.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Government does not exist to guarantee anybody a living, but rather to provide a safe environment in which each person has an equal opportunity to pursue their own dreams and succeed or fail based upon their own efforts and determination. So generally speaking, government should provide secure borders, a strong military and law enforcement, good infrastructure for interstate and international commerce, treaties that favor US commerce and management of federal lands for public benefit.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Firearms should not be allowed to be purchased by anyone who is not a citizen or legal resident of the country, nor should they be allowed to be purchased by anyone under 18 years of age.
