QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I would vote to keep PA pro choice. I would like to see abortions be done as early as possible. We can do better at teaching our children the consequences of being careless. Adults too could learn a little about being careless. We can do better with a little precaution.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Disagree

If planned parenthood could use this money to educate kids on the use of contraceptives and help supply them. We may face lowering abortion numbers and stds Again this is back to we can do better as parents teaching our kids.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

If someone is suffering from pain or incurable disease. They should have the right to decide.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Lower gas taxes. Stop raising taxes to cover government pensions

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Travel. We don't need to send representatives to Poland. They could use other means to see how Ukrainian refugees were treated. We don't need to send officials around the world for meetings. Skype works. It worked well for millions that were forced to stay home and work.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

The average American won't support a tax increase to cover this. We can do better with lowering the cost of college. Cut out the worthless college courses. Nobody should need to take a class like brisk walking in college. design a program that is streamlined towards a profession. Have colleges agree to be paid a percentage of what their students earn after graduation. This would have colleges put their money where their mouth is.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Agree

It's their choice. Plenty of businesses out there that will do what somebody wants. If they don't want your money move on. In today's climate businesses will find out what it means to refuse someone. They'll go broke.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None and that goes for any business. Unless they are doing criminal activity.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I would pick option (B) Healthcare is a tough cookie to crumble. Costs need to be lowered on everything. Profit is not a bad word but gouging is. Cost can be cut at all levels with out diminishing quality of care.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None. This goes back to "My body my choice"

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

We should keep a good eye towards the middle east and here in the USA. Over the last ten years we have worked pretty well at lowering the threats.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Neutral

I have to say. " i know nothing about this." I do believe that the fighting will never end over there. Ego and religion have gotten in the way. Peace will never happen

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Agree

Yes we need secure borders. My wife is an immigrant. She came from Slovakia. It was a long process to become a citizen.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anybody that does it legally. Having people that want to come here is not a bad thing. Have people that become productive citizens is not a bad thing. Having people sneak across the border is not the best situation for anybody.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

Finding the best education for your children is a good thing. We owe it to our kids. My daughter has had several different schools. She did one year in eastern Europe( Kindergarten) They taught her two languages. When she came home the pandemic hit. We did a cyber charter for a year and a half. Then Brick and mortar. Of the 3 schools. Brick and mortar was the least educational. Our public schools need help or people will start leaving in droves. I would support all day kindergarten.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

I agree with this. It was a start to some good laws. We no longer need a bible or Torah to tell us how to live. Common sense should tell you what is wrong.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

Nobody should be bullied or denied anything due to who they are. Pick the best person for the situation.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Disagree

100's of people want to make you angry during they day. If you can find safety and love in the same sex all the better. Why should people of the same sex not be allowed to have something special. Imagine building a lifetime of memories and assets. One passes away. The other dose not get survivor rights. The government takes it all. That's not right. Who are we to stop some ones happiness?

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Neutral

I don't know enough about CRT. Everything i search comes back to one side or the other. As a whole we can do a lot better on race relations. We can stop the media baiting and commercial gains from pushing hate. It takes more energy to be hateful than nice.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I grew up with a single mom that changed her religion often. 3 different during my childhood.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

It's not that hard to get id. Over the past elections people have lost confidence in the system. One side says 'Russia" the other "stolen" We need to restore confidence across the board.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

If any it would be to use a photo id. I would also like to see open primaries and a national primary day.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Racism is not a threat to the US security. It may have small pockets of threats But not the US as a whole. f we stop listening to the media. We can do better as people. sit down with somebody from a different background. You'll find they want the same thing. A happy family, food, a roof and job. You'll find their fears are the same as yours. By talking to people you can see we're all the same.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Disagree

Another thing i don't know much about. have no idea how these would be handled.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

I can see the problems with both answers. The environment is a problem all over the world. We need a greater solution than just the USA changing things. We need to buy less wasteful stuff. f we crack down on businesses they will move out. If we could clean up public drinking water. Maybe that would eliminate the need for plastic water bottles. If we drove less that would help on emissions. People want cleaner energy. How about we use less.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Neutral

People from PA want like this. know it will bring some money in here. I just don't think the ground water can handle it. As i said above " lets use less energy"

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

general purpose is to keep people safe and things moving freely. They have failed one after the other. It feels like their purpose is to line their pockets.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Moderate

I feel that i fall right n the middle. With a compromise we can all get along. No more my way or the highway. Let's meet in the middle and take the back roads. Life is to stressful to argue over everything. With all the fighting and bickering nothing gets done. help change things for the better with a compromise

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No i have not

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

would like to push PA for all day kindergarten. I would also like to see a second language taught earlier in schools. i'd like to see PA have open primaries along with a national primary day. by the time it roll around here. It is over. Most of the candidates have dropped out. think we could do something about the price of gas. Stop the gouging by station owners and big corporations. Only allow them to raise the price if they get a delivery of gas. I would stand behind any business that staid open if the government said shutdown. It was not right that big box stores sold out while mom and pop stores staid shut. Walmart sold out of toys while local stores could not open. 'd like to see candidates live in an area for a full term before they run. I'd like to see term limits of 12 years. I don't think we need 100 round clips for guns. We can do better with who we sell guns to. We need to bring up our quality of mental healthcare. It's better to cry on somebodies shoulder than their funeral. as an independent i don't have party bosses to satisfy. only the voters. If we can make a facebook poll about what pie to eat on the fourth of July. Why can't i make a poll on how to vote for a bill. I would like to set up a page where people tell me how to vote, yes or no.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

Our problem is we don't live in a perfect world. Lots of times police officers have a split second to decide. If they react the way the were trained. How can you punish them. Change the training if it is wrong. We need to teach a better interaction between police and civilians. It needs to be taught to both parties. Police should not be shooting people in the back as they run away and people need to know not to run.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Neutral

i would bet with a good audit. You would find that a good percentage of funding is waste. That could go towards mental health. I see police cars idling alongside the road everyday. Turn them off. save gas and hours of run time. The car will last longer. I'm not for removing officers on the street. just looking into where the funding goes. we can do better. Everybody can do better.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

We don't need to sell ar15s to kids that just turn 18. We don't need 100 round clips. We need to be able to do better background checks. Maybe a pre sale test. I would think most honest gun owners would support a waiting period on assault riffles. With that said. You'll find most gun damage done by illegal guns. We need to change a whole culture of gun violence. Teach people respect. So they respect for others. As parents we need to do this at home. then it will be carried over to schools and on to the work place. We need to find a better way to look into peoples' past and see if they are safe to buy a gun. After something happens we see the neighbor say " yes he was a little strange" I'm a legal gun owner and not here to ban them. I would support stronger red flag laws.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Disagree

Only if the dealer sold an illegal gun or aided in a straw purchase.
