The loss of local control in education is too high a price to pay in exchange for federal dollars.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am an experienced educator with 39 years of experience. I have been a teacher, curriculum leader, and administrator. I have been fortunate enough to work on the east, south, and west sides of Charlotte which gives me a holistic view of the school system. As there are only 2 educators on the board with one of them retiring, we need BOE members who understand the system in order to improve it.

Schools must follow the state law.
