QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

What role should the school serve in helping a student with an unwanted or crisis pregnancy?

Provide counseling and supports while in school and refer to community based agencies for follow up services and assistance

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree with this statement. However, the health of the mother, and circumstances surrounding conception must also be taken into consideration when formulating legal remedies.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Monopolies do not benefit the customer or the proprietor. It is only when competition is allowed that products, services, and resources improve and the benefit to the public is enhanced.

What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?

Education is the greatest investment society can make in its overall posterity. Schools should be funded based upon the academic needs of the students, their level of preparation art entry, and the expectations we set for them to complete the curriculum. Funding must be based upon student needs over building numbers

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Teachers should be required to instruct students on mandated curriculum even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Neutral

Curriculums should be developed with maximum input from stakeholders to include parents, educators, students, business owners, and economist (who can forecast evolving industries both global and domestic) to gain maximum buy in and develop consensus for the curriculum and its content. Once this happens, if teachers are unable to elevate their commitment to the profession over their personal bias then perhaps they should consider their options which may not include public school teaching.

EDUCATION

Abortion and gender transitioning providers, including Planned Parenthood, should be a resource for instruction or services in the school.

Strongly Disagree

Those matters should be left to the discretion of the parents. Just as schools can no longer recommend psychotropic medications for special needs students, the same premise should be followed for this population. A parents child and their choice for them.

Consistent discipline creates a safe and orderly environment, which is essential for student learning.

Strongly Agree

Students cannot learn in chaos. Teachers must be fair, firm, and consistent to create an environment which is conducive to learning.

Do you believe print and digital material available or presented to students should be easily accessible for public review, including those without children enrolled in school?

Yes

Since all of the material is taxpayer funded, we should be able to review the products we are purchasing.

Educators should give students a thorough education in America's founding documents and cultivate American patriotism.

Strongly Agree

The story of the founding of our nation s very inspirational. While their are aspects which are inhumane and repulsive, the insight, foresight, and thoughtfulness our founders used in creating the constitution, declaration of independence, bill of rights, etc. to overcome english rule, health challenges and the other obstacles they encountered to birth the greatest country on earth will engage, inform and inspire our students.

I support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

Strongly Agree

We want everyone to respect our differences and we must respect their differences.. The golden rule says do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Disagree

The feds can set priorities and leverage its resources to meet the needs of our students. If DOE is eliminated, the resources it provides to the states and localities go with them. Additionally, states still have control because if they do not agree with the mandates or choose not to follow them, they can just reject the resources.

If a member of the public flags (challenges) a book as inappropriate and the school board disagrees, should the board impose a moratorium on when the book can be challenged again? If yes, for how long?

If the community is given the opportunity to make selections on the books which are in the schools, those choices should stand. If a community member has issues with the books, they should work with other community members to get a consensus and encourage the board to re evaluate its choices and/or select members who are more aligned with the priorities of the community

Please list in order the following priorities in relation to the role of a K-12 public school (omitting any that do not apply): American History, Art & Music, Civics, Critical Race Theory, Foreign Language, Gender Identity, Information Technology, Language Arts, Mathematics, Personal Finances, Physical Fitness, Political Activism, Science, Sexuality, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning

Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, American History, Civics, Personal Finances, Social Emotional Learning, Vocational Learning, Physical Fitness, Arts and Music, Foreign Language

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

MFP (Money follows the person) works in mental health and it should work for education. The only caveat should be that everyone who receives state funds should have to follow the same rules.Teachers should be licensed, student to teacher ratio should be consistent, proficiency should be measured using a standardized tool and the results made public.

Which should students have: equity of outcomes or equality of opportunities?

Equity of opportunities because if students see their are a plethora of opportunities at their disposal, they may become inspired to achieve and outcomes will improve.

Which type of written parental consent should be obtained before students are taught courses such as Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)? (A) Opt-In. (B) Opt-Out. (C) None.

Opt In. Parents should have determine what their children learn and when they learn it.

Who should make decisions about whether or not a book is appropriate for children? A) the elected school board members; B) an outsourced community committee

Both, the community committee should report to the board who will review their findings and vote on whether to accept or reject their proposal.

VALUES

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. Born through Immaculate Conception, Lived, Died, was resurrected and is returning one day to receive those who follow him. I also believe that you should do unto others as you want them to do unto you and you reap what you sow.

Children have a right to reach maturity without chemical or surgical castration, which would damage their healthy bodies through surgeries and may cause a life-long dependence on cross-sex hormones.

Strongly Agree

Parents are admonished to "train up a child". Once they reach adulthood, they can make their own choices.

If sexual education is taught in schools, what is the appropriate age when it should be taught?

Choice should be made by the parents who reside in the community. Sex education is the parent choice.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman essential to the formation and sustaining of a civil and prosperous society.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a sacrament of the church. While God gives us free will, if we wish to circumvent his sacrement, we should leave him out of it.

Parents have the fundamental right to raise their child in accordance with their beliefs and values, including the right to make decisions about the child's education and healthcare.

Strongly Agree

Parents are admonished to train up a child. They are responsible for their welfare and overall well being.

Parents should have full and timely access to any and all records, including school and medical records, associated with their minor children.

Strongly Agree

School children have the right to be protected from sexual grooming including drag shows and explicit materials with pictures of sex acts and graphic language.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree that they have the right to be protected from sexual grooming. However, we have to determine what constitutes grooming? If a parent or guardian takes their child to a drag show or allow their children to read explicit materials with sex acts and graphic language or give them books which may contain language that the community believes is graphic is that grooming? There are those who could make the case that some of our sacred books would fall into this category

Should schools be giving instruction on how to engage in sexual acts, the pleasures of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity or should they instead focus on educating students about the science of reproduction?

Focus on educating students about the science of reproduction. Everything else when, with who(m), how much, etc. should be left to the parents

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Agree

Voter fraud has been proven to be a non issue measuring less than a few percent of the overall voters. Requiring identification may pose an undue burden to many of our seniors, college students, persons with disabilities and challenged populations who may not be able to acquire identification. However, if it is the law of the land, every possible accommodation should be given to the citizenry to make acquisition possible.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Disagree

iVoterGuide Notes:

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

NO

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

NO

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

2ND AMENDMENT

The right to bear arms is fundamental and must be protected.

Agree

However, arms are for protection and hunting. Weaponry which are military grade, high magazine, or exceed the capacity of law enforcement should be monitored and regulated just as we do psychotropic meds or legal narcotics.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

In the event of a pandemic, school districts can mandate whatever health precautions they deem necessary (including masks and vaccines) to protect students and staff.

Agree

Schools have the responsibility to protect the well being of all students. If parents do not wish to protect their children and others, they can consider other educational options for their children.
