QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Never. All abortion is murder. As a member of the Kansas Legislature I will seek a complete ban on abortion, and promote legislation to equip crisis pregnancy centers and faith-based charity crisis organizations. I will also promote legislation to make adoption easier and less expensive for eligible parents to adopt.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I will legislate to close down every abortion clinic in our state and to make it illegal for abortions to be carried out across state lines in abortion states.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Assisted suicide is dangerous and any legislation that promotes this is unethical. this type of legislation could serve to promote the murder of those who are among the most vulnerable. I will legislate against 'aid in dying' programs and sound the warning against them.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

The 'death tax', or estate tax should be eliminated, and I think the income-tax has abused taxpayers for working and being successful. I think that our entire tax-code system needs a major overhaul, and I would like to see a type of flat-tax system, or a sales tax system replace the current tax code. I stand for slashing taxes across the board. I know that low taxes = economic common sense, and our nation needs a lot more of that. I will vote against tax increases. Kansans, as well as all Americans need a relief from taxes and common-sense economics NOW!

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

All unnecessary spending. The state government must shrink the budget in order to lower taxes to provide economic relief to Kansans. I would eliminate pork-spending for projects that are not needed, and demand transparency of all spending measures proposed. I would demand that state universities that receive state funding be held accountable for what they teach. I would demand that every university that teaches false-doctrine be denied state-funding. What I call false doctrine would include: Critical Race Theory, or anything else that is not based on truth. I would also sanction universities that foster an environment that trains our scholars to hate our nation and divide our culture, or deny free-speech, freedom of religion, or any other rights that are guaranteed in our founding documents. I would legislate to shrink the budget by transforming the social-safety net that's in place into a trampoline, giving people a hand-up rather that a hand-out. Work has dignity, and all people are better off if they work. Our economy is stifled currently, and businesses cannot expand because we don't have enough people who want to work. There is no excuse in this.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

This is first wrong because workers who did not attend college, or had to pay their for their own schooling should not be forced to pay taxes to send other people to college. Second, I think that an education that is not earned is not appreciated. College students would be better served to be personally invested in their education. This would encourage students to be more responsible in the choices they make and foster a greater sense of personal achievement.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Individuals and businesses cannot be required to do anything that violates their moral and religious convictions.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None. The government does not have jurisdiction over the Church. During the COVID shutdown, the government only had the authority to issue advisories, and should have done no more than just that.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C. Medicaid and Medicare should be available for those who need it, as a safety net, with accountability. However, 'those who need it', needs to be closely monitored. The fraud that exists in the Medical Care Industry involving Medicare and Medicaid claims needs to be addressed. The system is abused, and never more so than during COVID. This must be addressed and accounted for.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Under no circumstances should the government or schools be allowed to. The Military should be able to promote vaccination for service members to remain eligible for deployment. However, this should be done with proven vaccines only. An experimental vaccine should not be required of anyone. I am a veteran of Enduring Freedom. During my career as a soldier I was probably given every vaccine available and I had no issue with any of them. Had I been in the service during the mandatory COVID experimental shot debacle, I would not have taken it. This should never have been allowed to happen to our Armed Service members. Schools should never be given this power as a condition of an education. I personally don't think employer should be allowed to require vaccinations and I lean toward outlawing it, however this is more complicated. Employers, are the owners of their business and should be able to manage their businesses as they see fit, whereas government employees and teachers work for the taxpayers. I do not think mandatory vaccines is a good practice for any employer to take and I think this could result in abuse of power. Another concern I have is that I am not sure the government should be given this much power to dictate to business owners how to run their businesses. But in the end I oppose all mandatory vaccines that would violate anyone's personally held beliefs.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Tell the truth with love. This involves having a strong foreign policy that provides proof to all of our enemies and Islamic extremists that we will in truth protect our God-given liberties with overwhelming force when needed. Displaying this truth for all to see is a deterrent to terrorism, and the loss of life and liberties of the common people that are caught in between. Terrorists are not respecters of normal diplomacy, and only respect force. We should never negotiate with terrorists or pay ransoms. Therefore, only a strong America can be a loving America toward all through strength. This prevents war. The United States should always stand for the religious liberty of all people throughout the world, and should always apply the Just-War standards before engaging in any conflict.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

Israel has every right to be in the land that is theirs, to include the West Bank and more. Israel is a sovereign nation and has the right to govern their nation and build fortifications as they see fit.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The President should be impeached for his failure to secure our borders. Governors of all of our states should be held accountable by the state legislatures to help the border states to defend our border. The open border has paved the way for a great increase in human trafficking, drug smuggling, and an increase in violent crimes across the nation. This is a great threat to our national security. The open border is a danger to all and must be secured immediately.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Legal immigrants only who have been through the vetting process. I stand for immigration reform that makes it easier for good people to enter the United States who have been properly vetted. The current system favors criminals who enter illegally. People suffering religious and ethnic persecution like those in South Africa do, should be preferred, but only after proper vetting.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

I stand for Parents Choice.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Our founders created a system of government that would could only be maintained through a moral people. Our nation is in a moral crisis and must return to our Founder's values.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

I will stand against CRT and will legislate to eliminate it being taught anywhere in the state.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born-again, Christian. I believe that the Bible is inerrant, and is the fully inspired Word of God, and is truth for our lives. All of my values that I have learned and practiced from my early life until now are rooted in the Bible. I try to live my life to serve my Master, Jesus Christ, in all that I do, and I am a work in progress. My faith in God and the wisdom I've taken in through the Bible have transformed my life and have guided me through my experiences in life as a soldier, and as a leader, and as a Dad. I have learned that my values are the same values that our nation was founded on, and I feel called to help take these values back into the state legislature.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Election Integrity Reform. I want to return to paper ballots only, in person, with a photo-I.D., with the verification of citizenship confirmed, and place a ban on drop-boxes and ballet harvesting. I would allow for military absentee ballots and early voting for certain circumstances. I wish to pass legislation that reforms the voter-roll clean-up process, and remove all dead people from the voter rolls upon their death.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, but I refer to CRT only as a threat to domestic security. CRT is a socialist, racist, brainwashing program that is a threat to our nation. This ideology divides the nation against itself.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A. Stricter Environmental Laws and regulations are killing the economy. I will oppose these and stand for removing regulations and creating jobs.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The purpose of government is to protect "....certain unalienable rights...", including: the right to "...Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness...to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..." (Declaration of Independence). The purpose of a government is to provide order and protection of the people and personal property and promote justice for all without violating anyone's unalienable rights. Romans 13:1-7

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

I don't have any media available at this time, but would like to add in the future. Media will be available on our Facebook and website.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am a combat veteran with proven leadership experience. I am a Regan-Republican, a farmer, and a dad. Additionally, I am a bi-vocational Pastor with a full-time job. I have proven in my life that I am willing to stand in the face of adversity for the good of this nation, and in my bid for the state legislature, I vow to do just that. I feel called to run for the Kansas Legislature because of the great concern that I have for our nation. Our nation is divided as never before and we are lacking in strong leaders who will stand on the principles that built this nation. Our district needs a representative who will stand for truth, and who will make their decisions based on common sense. Once elected I will stand for truth in Topeka. I will take a stand for life, liberty, and for the rights of all Kansans. My legislative priorities include standing for the Right to Life and the right to all of the God-given liberties guaranteed by our Constitution. Providing for these will ensure the pursuit of happiness for all. I will stand for women's sports and the dignity of all Kansans. I will demand that a standard of traditional human decency be returned to the public schools and public buildings. Perverts and perverted doctrines must be removed from the schools and public libraries. I will support and sponsor legislation that bans transition surgeries and hormone therapy for minors, and I will support legislation that classifies such actions as child-endangerment. I will sponsor and support legislation to eliminate human-trafficking in Kansas. I will make it a priority to slash taxes and remove government regulations that stifle the economy. I will pursue a common-sense energy policy and will push back against the current administration's war on Americans. I will make it a priority to bring business and jobs to Kansas without compromising our values. The agriculture industry is the backbone of Kansas and America, and I vow to stand for farmers and small business owners. The fertilizer and chemicals required by agriculture must be made in the USA in the future. Our nations is currently so reliant on Chinese goods that it is a national security risk. I vow to work to bring the companies that make those goods back to America, and back to Kansas. I will call for the accountability of government to the taxpayers, and that the federal government shrink and return to the parameters set forth in the Constitution. I will stand for states rights and the rights of individuals. I stand for all of the rights set forth in the Bill of Rights, and I will guard these closely as an elected representative. I do not interpret the freedom of speech guaranteed by the First Amendment to include the freedom to burn the flag in protest. If the burning of the flag is indeed 'an act of free speech', it is hate speech, which is illegal. Therefore, I plan to sponsor legislation to place a ban on the burning of the U.S. flag, and honor those who have laid down their lives for this nation. Additionally, I do not interpret the 'Right to a peaceful assembly", guaranteed by the First Amendment, to include the right to riot. Therefore, I will stand for the responsibility of the elected government to shut down all riots with the least amount of force required, in order to ensure that the liberties and the pursuit of happiness of other Americans are not violated. This will ensure that personal and public property are protected, and that lawlessness is not promoted in our land. I will take a stand in support of our law enforcement, and I will work to put more law enforcement officers and resources into all districts throughout the state. I will also work to expand the number of trained first responders available throughout the state. Additionally, I will sponsor or support legislation to provide trained and armed security volunteers at every school. I will support programs and policy that encourages veterans and retired police officers to continue to serve their nation in this calling.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I dislike infringements on the 2nd Amendment and I believe caution should be taken with Red Flag Laws because they could be used against good people. However, a screening process should be used to vet out high-risk people from purchasing guns. The FBI screening currently in place should be used.

iVoterGuide Notes:

*The following additional survey response was submitted by the candidate after the survey deadline was reached and was not considered during panel evaluations:

"I now oppose all Red Flag laws. These are dangerous and could probably be used against all veterans including myself. My stance is that the 2nd Amendment must be observed throughout the nation as it is written, and that the nation would be a safer place if it was."

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
