QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Never
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Disagree
Chemical abortion drugs are dangerous to women, and fatal to the unborn. The long-term effects have not been seen yet, but the short-term effects are dangerous. This form of abortion should be outlawed. But, where they can't be outlawed, lawmakers should put these requirements in place to hold both the abortion industry and the government entities involved to account
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Our founding fathers associated the right to private property and free enterprise with the unalienable right referred to in the Declaration of Independence as, "..the pursuit of happiness...". The right to own private property and engage in free enterprise are two of the essential elements that have made our nation what it is. And, our nation would be much stronger, wealthier, safer, and happier if the government would safeguard these two essential elements.
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Minimum wage should be left alone. All that raising the minimum wage does in the long run is increase the cost of living for consumers, result in inflation, and puts a strain on struggling businesses. The Free market should determine wages.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
Public moneys should be prevented from being invested according to ESG precepts and WOKE standards. As a lawmaker I will stand against this and call it out for what it is. Overreach by the Federal Government outside its enumerated powers, and a leap into the abyss. And a poor investment for all involved.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None. All the church lock-downs during COVID 19 were unconstitutional. The original idea of the Separation of Church and State, as taken from Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists, was that the government had to stay out of the business of the Church. There were to be no state-ran churches under our system of governance. We have freedom of worship and to practice our faith as we see fit, to include living out our faith in our system of governance.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
When doing something that any individual or entity asks me to do would violate my moral or religious convictions, I am at liberty to refuse providing such services.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. Medicaid and Medicare should remain available for those senior citizens who need this, along with a portion of the population that is disabled to the point of not being able to work. Fraud needs to be addressed however. I stand against Medicaid Expansion because it will allow able-bodied workers not to work and will overwhelm and destroy our healthcare system.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Never. Waivers should be made available to accommodate anyone with religious and moral convictions. As your Representative I will stand for your Health Freedom because I see this as an unalienable right. I am not anti-vaccine, I follow the science.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
I will demand that our State take measures to harden our infrastructure and prepare our State to defend itself, and I will demand that our Governor be held to account for not taking a stand to defend against the foreign threat. The states need put pressure on the federal government to take an appropriate stand in foreign policy. Our nation must take a firm stand or we will get shoved around or worse.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. There is the promise of blessings and curses given in Genesis to the nations who bless or curse Israel. Israel should also be our number one ally because they are most like our nation in practice. The founders of our nation modeled our system of governance very much after the ancient nation of Israel. Our enemies know this and hate us for it. Israel values life. Their enemy will attack us just as they have attacked Israel when they are able to. We must stand with them.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
As your representative I will demand that the state of Kansas put pressure on the Federal government to perform its duty and secure our borders. I will also demand that our state assist border states in securing the border when the Federal government fails to. A nation without borders is not a nation. We have an invasion of our country going on and our elected leaders currently seem unwilling to stop it. This is partly why I'm running. We need leaders who will stand by the oath they swore.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
There should be no strings attached to taxpayer dollars for education. It seems quite a racket that the federal government taxes us for schools and then pressures the schools to teach what whoever is in charge wants the educators to teach. This is not part of the plan of the founders for public education as presented in the Northwest Ordinance.
VALUES
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
With the exception that I do not think that parents should have the right to allow children to have a so-called gender-transition surgery, or to be given hormone treatments to the same end. This is not a matter of parents rights, but something that should be illegal.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. I understand that I am classified broadly as an Evangelical. I would describe the doctrines of my faith to most closely align with the Southern Baptists. I hold to Conservative and traditional American values.
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
I will take a firm stand against this in the state legislature, as well as human trafficking. As to child-gender-body-mutilation, I plan to introduce or co-sponsor legislation that defines exactly what a "health care professional' is, and defines clearly what it means to "first do no harm". This will include addressing the so-called counseling that serves to groom and harm children. Child body mutilation and counseling encouraging it is not health care.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No, but the Marxists want everyone to believe it is. The Marxist plan for overthrowing our country involves dividing the population against itself. What we have seen working itself out in our country since President Obama's administration is the Marxist program to take our nation down. The failure of our elected and appointed leaders to uphold the Constitution and laws of our country are the real threat to domestic security. Racism exists like any sin, but it is not what its made out to be.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
CRT is fundamentally racist. A false teaching that claims an entire ethnic group is racist is in itself racist. The institutions in the United States are not the problem. As your state representative I will debunk CRT any time it comes up, and work to remove it from state universities and schools.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
I will protect the dignity of women's sports and protect our ladies in all other areas of society. I think it's also important to protect the private space of our adolescent males in these areas also, and I will take a stand to do so.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A and C. Both of these answers are true. The United States does a better job stewarding the environment than most of the world, yet the environmentalists keep moving the goal-posts. And, I think its a scam. If the people who jockey for stricter environmental laws and regulations really cared about the environment, then they would demand the same from China and India that they do from the United States.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Natural Gas, then coal, and clean coal. These are the most plentiful in our country, the least expensive, and the most reliable. Nuclear would be the best but I am not willing to have it in consideration of possible catastrophic events.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Punish evil and create order from chaos by protecting the rights of the people. Governments derive their power by the consent of the governed, not by those in power. God ordained government to help man thrive with one another. The basic unit of government is the family. Government enables us to steward creation together.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe our nation would be a safer place if the 2nd Amendment were observed as written. As in, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. This unalienable right to self-defense was intended by our founding fathers to all citizens. I believe every local municipality should be able to determine if someone is a public risk, and to take appropriate action. Also, any such person who is a public risk would be held in check by an armed populace.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
This is a right that shall not be infringed. I think the state should mandate that any teacher who would should attend and pass an advanced firearms course, and should make the training available throughout the state. This would do the most to protect the students and staff in our schools.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
I oppose the marijuana lobby. This is bad for Kansas, and has been bad for every state where it has been made legal. The long-term effects of smoking marijuana are not good for the individual, nor the community. The tax revenue promised through legalizing marijuana will not make up for the problems it causes and the social costs incurred to the taxpayers.
