What is your position on government funding of public education from Pre-K through college?
I have always been a strong advocate for Public schools. Both of my daughters attended Pinellas county schools from K-12 with my youngest being in her 12th grade year.
EDUCATION
What is the function of the local school board?
To be a public servant to the voters/tax payers of the county. To critically manage the budget and be a proper steward of the money paid by the tax payers. To ensure our children receive the best academic education available. To uphold the laws and policies in effect and hold all accountable who do not abide by them.

The local school board with guidence from State Dept of education and local committee authorized to evaluate the curricula.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
During the official meeting, with the 3 minute time limit, no parent should be restricted from speaking with the exception of profanity.
