QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I do not support any circumstances for an elective abortion.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

I do not support chemical drugs to harm or abort a fetus under any circumstance.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

This procedure should never be tax payer funded. However, I do support tax payer funded pre-conception birth control.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

No. An End of life journey is out of our hands and clinicians and practitioners should not be allowed to aide in hastening the dying process. There are many other available treatment to aide in the patient's suffering.

ECONOMY

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

Undecided. I would have to investigate this topic further.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

As long as regulations are reasonable and applied equally across all religious groups and other types of organizations, a government can close any church engaging in illegal practices. By the way, mandates such as the mask mandate in 2020-2021, were not Wyoming law.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Neutral

In 2018, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Colorado Civil Rights Commission had acted with anti-religious bias in enforcing the anti-discrimination law against Phillips after he refused to bake a cake celebrating the wedding of Craig and Mullins in 2012. The high court did not rule then on the larger issue of whether a business can invoke religious objections to refuse service. Until the Supreme Court rules on this issue I remain neutral.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. In the past I have spoken against Medicaid expansion in Wyoming because I feel the Department of Health is not efficient nor capable of running an expanded Medicaid program. I am a Medicaid provider and have inside knowledge of the problems with reimbursement.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None. Wyoming Constitution states; "Each competent adult shall have the right to make his or her own health care decisions. The parent, guardian or legal representative of any other natural person shall have the right to make health decisions..."

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Choose not to answer

I do not focus on world events or politics; I concentrate on the state of Wyoming only. This is the role of a State Legislator whose main job is to manage the state budget.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

I do not focus on world events or politics; I concentrate on the state of Wyoming only. This is the objective of a State Legislator whose main focus is to manage and direct the state budget. I am prepared to perform the role if so elected. We have Congressional delegates who are well suited to manage national issues and impacts to the United States.

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

U.S. immigration law is based on the following principles: the reunification of families, admitting immigrants with skills that are valuable to the U.S. economy, protecting refugees, and promoting diversity. The INA allows the United States to grant up to 675,000 permanent immigrant visas each year across various visa categories. It is my understanding from others' shared experiences that it is quite difficult to become a legal American citizen.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

Indeed! Freedom of choice for parents and children. This model is well established and successful in other states. I was fortunate to provide my children an excellent education under similar programs.

VALUES

Children have the right to be protected from sexually explicit materials in publicly funded libraries, including school libraries.

Strongly Agree

Yes this is the most simple solution. All library boards should have a review committee and assign a rating system to new material, using an algorithm method. Material for a mature audience shall require parental permission for children under age 18, as do movies. Although I support our freedom of speech, restrictions for access by children is appropriate.

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from harm, including from gender ideology and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Indeed, I agree children should be protected from harm and their most important source of defense is their own parents.

Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

This has already been decided at the federal level. Specifically, federal law now states marriage as between a man and a woman and spouse as a person of the opposite sex with provisions that recognize any marriage between two individuals that is valid under state law. Wyoming does not allow same-sex marriages but must recognize those from other states.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Raised Catholic and attended Catholic schools. Continue to attend Catholic mass.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

We must verify American citizenship and voter registration.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Neutral

I am not certain, but I think by voting with this method Wyoming's votes would become statistically insignificant at the national level.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

Did not answer

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

ABOUT YOU

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

A state Legislators role is to manage the funds of the state and to create statute allocating the budget.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I am particularly conservative fiscally. I follow evidence-based practice for policy creation which includes evaluation first by the US Constitution, 2) Wyoming Constitution, 3) Current Wyoming statute and US Supreme Court precedents 4) Feasibility of program, 5) Technical correctness of a bill, and lastly our Republican platform

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

Please express your views on the 2nd Amendment.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

I do support medical cannabis only.
