QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the nation. They make millions of dollars from women in crisis pregnancies. We should not be paying them one red cent.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe life begins at conception. We want to offer women something better than destroying the life within them; the opportunity to be a co-creator with God. Life, the first inalienable right, means it's given by God and cannot be taken away by man. In cases of rape, insist, and fetal anomaly, the new amendment 3 gives exemptions for abortion. Amendment 3 (2026) is not what I would prefer, but it offers restrictions on abortion that is what the public wants at this time.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Neutral

Following the Dobbs v. Jackson (2022) decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade, the Comstock Act has resurfaced in public debate. Some anti-abortion advocates have suggested using it to restrict access to abortion medications like mifepristone across state lines. However, a 2022 DOJ memo clarified that the Act does not prohibit mailing abortion medications unless intended for unlawful use. I need more clarity on the question before an honest answer can be given.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I support Missouri's hard-working families, however, raising the minimum wage statewide could put small business in rural areas out of business. This is an economic dilemma, and may trigger a spike in cost of living, which hurts working families.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

I agree. It's the foundation of our personal liberty and economic growth. However, we do have a special situation with data centers moving into the area that threaten our natural resources, our cost of living, and the proponents are claiming property rights. This is a situation that a moratorium on data centers to give us more time to assess the situation would be warranted. We do not need more environmental hazards in district 114! I hear the concerns from every person I meet.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

Reduce Medicare improper payments, Reform community block grants (CDBG's), and Sell or Reform Federal Property Leasing. This is not my area of expertise; I will be relying on an advisory board made up of experts in District 114 that have far better advice on this topic.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The original purpose of separation of church and state was to prevent the government from imposing a national religion while ensuring freedom of worship for all citizens, rather than excluding religion from politics or public life. Early Americans, influenced by European history where countries often enforced a single state religion, sought to preserve tolerance and religious freedom in the new nation. This principle influenced the First Amendment, ensuring government could not dictate faith.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. In addition to my own opinion, I will be relying on my advisory board recommendations. We are fortunate to have many knowledgeable in healthcare administration and insurance in our district that will be able to assist me with solid solutions to the healthcare dilemmas we face.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Agree

We need to keep up with where the people's needs are.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

We constantly trade with China, but we seem to be in constant conflict as well. I have all 8 of my children in the US military, I know our battles lie in the race to be number one in the world in all of these categories. I do not pretend to be an expert in foreign affairs, and what we hear on the news is usually not to be trusted. I am 100% American made, we must be solid in our fight against foreign entities that threaten us.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, it is very important and controversial at the same time. Biblical principles teach us to be pro-Israel. We have news reports that put us in a very negative light with that stance. They have been our allies for decades and we have stood side by side facing terrorism in the middle East. I believe keeping our eyes on truth will aid us in the long run. The amount of money we give them is also in question at this time. This needs much attention to detail, and I don't have all the details.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Neutral

I need more information on this issue from my constituents that are education experts. School administration issues, and I cannot answer this without all of the details. I know there are many layers to this issue.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Neutral

I need more information on the issue to make a clear judgement. There are issues within the legislature at this time that make this a tricky question. I am not a gambler myself, but many Americans are, and that is their freedom. unfortunately, one addicted gambler can affect an average of 12 people negatively.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a woman of strong religious beliefs and value organized religion. I believe that God gave each of us gifts to serve him and others. I feel called to serve the public with the gifts and experiences I have been given. I am truly humbled to be the mother of 9 children, two deceased. These lessons in obedience to be open to God's gift of fertility, and accepting of God's allowance of tragedy has taught me to praise Him the storms. "Jesus, I trust in You" is my mantra.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Solar will increase in the next 2 years, but for now its natural gas, coal, and nuclear.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I am open to new ideas and opinions, but I also consider myself to be very conservative.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

no

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

no

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

Maintain public order and uphold the rule of law to keep our neighborhoods safe, reform criminals, and assign just punishment.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I appreciate the laws we have in place. They need to be upheld. We have background checks, and waiting periods, but this must be utilized to protect the people.
