QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I help with an Organization called First Choice. They are a pro life non profit that educates women who are considering an abortion and offer free ultrasounds and counseling of life saving options. They save 1000's of unborn babies every year.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
I don't think we should have abortion drugs because they are 100% unsafe for the baby, but if we must, they should meet essential safety standards
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I am pro-life and 99%+ abortions are elective and that is not acceptable. In the very super rare cases of rape, incest, or life of the mother, an abortion may be considered.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
The Supreme Court put this on the states, however we should remove all Federal funding of abortion providers.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
As a graduate of the Patriot Academy, I understand that the Constitution never mentions the separation of Church and State. It was an interrpretation of the Constitution that created this phrase. When approximately 75% of the words in the Constitution come directly from the Bible, how is it possible to believe that this is what our founders intended.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Businesses should have the right to not provide services for things they dont sell or want to make. This is called the free market and people can choose to go elsewhere, if they so desire. If I want to eat pork, I know not to go to a resturant or grocery store that doesn't sell pork, I go to a store that sells what I want.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C. The US has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty. However, we must have a strong militiary for the purpose of preventing wars. We must be trained, equiped and ready or else the world will fall into chaos and we would be left vunerable.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
As a former military Combat Commander I understand the dangers associated with the CCP. The CCP is in an economic war with us right now and this current administration is doing nothing to counter their aggressions. They steal our intellectual properties and produce things like pharmaceuticals, precious metals that are making us reliant on them.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The US / Israel relationship is extremely important. They are the only Democracy in the Middle East and our strongest Ally.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
I am very aware of the retention and recruitment decline in our military. My family has served in the US military since the Revolutionary War. The cause for the current decline is the lack of Trust in our Govt and the DEI initiative. I was speaking to a young Airman the other day and he said that there are classes in Basic Training now that ask the question, how many genders are there, and if they answer 2 they are sent to additional training until they come up with a different answer.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Never.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. We need to be careful with the Govt being put in charge of healthcare. For example, with the VA, they limit what kind drugs they will prescribe. As we are currently seeing in Great Britain, due to the cost of universal healthcare the government is dictating if people can smoke. The free market can dictate this, if you smoke then you pay more for insurance. The govt should not dictate this.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
Reduce inflation by bringing fuel costs down, we can do this by drilling more, removing unnecessary regulatory barriers, cutting taxes across the board, cutting government spending, and as a Constitutional Conservative we need to shrink government.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Strongly Agree
I do not believe that a person who chose not to go to college should shoulder the burden to pay for someone elses choice to go to college. Dr's, Lawyers and Engineers, for example, tend to make more money. Why should others, who have never gone to school, or paid for their education and their childrens education and are maybe retired now, have to pay taxes to cover the cost of college so that these individuals can earn more.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
As a licensed Financial Advisor I believe ESG is a terrible idea. It causes companies to alter their behavior and focus. Companies are so determined to have a high ESG score in order to get government contracts that they end up hurting their shareholders, customers and retailers. We only need to look at some recent examples, such as, Bud Light and Bed Bath and Beyond. This ESG initiative is government overreach, where they are trying to manipulate societal norms.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
I've been to the Border numerous times. There are open holes throughout the wall and illegals jsut walk right through and wait for border patrol to process them into the US. We must close our border and get accountability of who has entered legally and illegally. If the first act of entering our country was an illegal act then they need to be sent back and try again legally.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We need immigration, it's called legal immigration. Anyone coming into our country needs to be vetted and have the ability to provide for themselves without sicial welfare programs. They need to be able to be productive, law abiding citizens.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
I am an advocate for school choice where the money follows the child. We would find out very quickly if any students enroll in the public school system or the Charter schools. Again, as a free market advocate, if the charter schools can provide a better education for a cheaper cost then maybe the public school system needs to be dismantled. We spend a lot of tax dollars into the public schools regardless of their performance.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
The Dept of Ed is enormous. I used to think that the only purpose for DoE would be to set Federal standards of education. For example, what should a student know to graduate middle or high school. However, this could be done very easily by the States. And if a student wanted to move on to higher education the SAT's or ACT's would determine this. This goes back to putting competition amongst public and charter schools. Parents will choose schools with the higher college acceptance rates.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
One of the primary purposes of govt is to protect it's people. not provide social services and community programs in order to buy or influence votes.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None! There should be no restrictions. Our 2nd Ammendment right is the only thing preventing an Oct 7 event from happeing here in the US. It was sad to see all the men, women and children slaughtered in Israel and they had no means to protect themselves from those terrorists. Some say that nobody needs a AR-15, well tell that to the citizens of Israel because their enemy had them.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Strongly Disagree
The Supreme Court should not be influenced by politics. Just because one party is not happy with our Constitution and the laws doesn't mean that they should try to manipulate the makep of the court.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I am a Constitutional, free market conservative that beleives in limited govt and the protection of our Constitional Rights. Speech, Religion, the right to petition, assemble and the press.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The purpose of govt is to protect people, lands, transportation and provide treaties. Anything else should be left to the States to determine. We need to reduce the size of govt. it is too large and costly. We need to get back to what our founders believed was the purpose of govt.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
Never
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
Never
VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
We need to protect children from all forms of abuse. choices of gender identity and body mutilation are not something a child should be making. The science has proven that a child brain isn't fully developed until well into their 20's. How do you expect a child to make life altering decisions when we don't even trust them to drink or drive.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Absolutely not!!!!! This includes in the prison system and the military. The military won't pay for elective plastic surgery, why should the tax payers pay for elective transitioning.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a lifelong Protestant / Methodist. I was raised in the military and attended on base Protestant Services. I then entered the military and continued. I believe in our lors and saviour, Jesus Christ. I am a Knight Hospitaller, Order of St John's of Jerusalem. The order dates back to the Crusdades and is recognized by the Pope through a Papal Bull. We help those in need. In fact, I personally had 24 tons of food aid sent to Israel after the Oct 7th attacks. The shipment was blessed by a Rabbi in Thailand, certified Kosher and arrived in Israel in January. Locally in Nevada, I assist the homeless and go into the tunnels of Las Vegas and donate and help with a Pro Life Organiation.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
People have ID cards for all aspects of their lives. To assume that a certain demographic lacks the ability to get an ID and bring it to a voting station is insulting.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
The Founders understood that in order to maintain this Republic, all States need a voice. Without the electoral College only the large cities with massive populations would determine the election and the majority of our nation would not have a voice.
EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Title 9 was passed to give women athletes the right to equal opportunity in sports in educational institutions that receive federal funds. Biological males are not women, they can't reproduce and have higher level of Testosterone. We are not protecting our women by allowing biological males to compete against them. The Biden administration expanded the definition of ‘sex’ to include ‘gender identity’ and is applying the rule to all. This is disasterous and must be changed.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
The world has gone through climate change since before humans existed on this planet. There used to be glaciers in Virginia. Those disappeared 100's of thousands of years ago. A single volcano exploding does more damage to the atmosphere than a years worth of human involvment.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
We need a long range energy plan that includes all sources of energy. The war this administration has on fossil fuel production has desimated our economy. A long range plan where oil, wind, solar, hydrogen and fusion are considered is the answer.
