RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

I strongly believe that taxpayer dollars should not be used to terminate innocent human life.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I believe the triage efforts to allow the termination of one human life to save another when that life would not be survivable. Such as, a medical procedure to terminate an ectopic pregnancy which is not a survivable pregnancy for mother or child.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

This is another fine line to cross. I support a competent individual's right to withhold certain medical procedures. The right of informed consent includes the right to withhold any or all medical procedures without penalty. In example, the right to designate a "do not resuscitate" (DNR) order. Or, advanced directives to withhold certain procedures while requesting other procedures. This is an area I have learned about in only the past several years. I have since been able to form a more definitive opinion that this medical practice should be limited in some capacity to avoid or prohibit "purposeful destruction". When you apply the sanctity of life argument, you have to apply it to these methods as well. I think most people don't understand the full implications of these artificial methods. You are still terminating an innocent human life.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

The Comstock Act of 1873 bans more than just transportation of abortion-inducing drugs. It includes "Obscene Literature and Articles of Immoral Use". To include not only Abortion related items to facilitate abortion, but includes "obscene, Lewd, or lascivious content, literature, pamphlets and images considered indecent". NRS 201 already offers exemptions to "schools, universities, libraries, and museums" for providing obscene materials to minors. This is a campaign item for me. Repeal the

We need to let the free enterprise market determine the wages.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

We have to support free enterprise and the small businesses in society. The liberty of property ownership is a fundamental right that our founders recognized and protected in our country's Constitution.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
Oversite and accountability. As a state legislator, it is my responsibility to look at, evaluate, and assign where the taxpayer dollars are spent. We then have to audit and confirm where those funds are REALLY spent. Then, hold those accountable for nefarious spending and fraud. We have seen what has happened in other areas of the country with waste, fraud, and abuse. Those same activities are happening in Nevada. We have to hold those people in Nevada accountable to the Nevada citizens.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
A concept from the founders, especially John Locke, but included in a letter by Thomas Jefferson to prevent government interference in religion. The term does NOT appear in the U.S. Constitution as many people believe. The Church and Biblical principles absolutely have a place of influence in Government. However, the concept is to prevent a government sponsored, or mandated church. Freedom of religion is one of the five freedoms granted the 1st Amendment. We have to protect that freedom.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Private individuals and businesses and their own moral beliefs should be strongly protected. If there is no tax dollar attached, government should have NO say in the legal services a business provides.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
I most closely align with 'C'. Catastrophic and Emergency Care should be available to all. However, I do not feel basic healthcare for all should be guaranteed for all. Healthcare is not a right; it is a privilege and benefit that makes America great. We need to allow practitioners to practice medicine without being sales representatives and gatekeepers. We should NOT incentivize illegal activities to only take advantage of the services offered at taxpayer expense.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

An ongoing medical illness database is RIPE for corruption, abuse, and neglect. I strongly disagree. Certain data sets which are confidential and untraceable should be used to evaluate and improve certain treatment obligations. But, when you track individuals and their individual illnesses, you've crossed the line.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

They have demonstrated over and over again that they are a threat. We have to remain vigilant to each of these areas, and more.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. The alliance between Israel and the United States has been ongoing for decades. It is important in maintaining relations in the middle east. These relationships are important because they stabilize both military and economic aspects of the region. The tensions in the middle east are very high. We need to maintain relations with Israel to prevent terrorist factions such as those in Iran from gaining a stronghold to later attack the United States.

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

I agree with giving control back to the states, counties and local communities. I am not certain eliminating the federal US Dept. of Education in one broad action would be correct. There needs to be ongoing oversite and accountability. A rapid phase out of this agency, as opposed to immediate elimination would be more appropriate. In the long term, Education belongs at the State and local level.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

I agree that gambling is significant fact in our state's history. I support the expansion of gambling. However, it should be evaluated case by case. I don't think one can just blanketly say agree or disagree without knowing more of the facts.

I am Christian. I believe in Jesus Christ lived among us, He died on our behalf, He beat death and rose from the grave giving us salvation and eternal life with him. Values are expressed throughout the Bible. How I apply them to political decision making include: 1.) Is it Biblical? Even if you are atheist, show me in biblical teaching. I will listen. 2.) Is it Constitutional? Most every Constitutional value is a Biblical value. Show me. I will listen. 3.) Is it for the greater good of the District, the State, the Country. I have been strongly criticized for the above comments. But show me, I will be glad to listen.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Voter identification is one of the most important issues to free and fair elections. We can point to NUMEROUS examples of waste, fraud, and abuse that could be addressed with simple voter identification. The voter roles have not been updated for decades and ballots are being sent to ineligible voters. Voter ID is only one of many issues which need to be addressed in the integrity of the election process.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

No. I am currently a Peace Officer, certified in the state of Nevada. While I work with felons on a daily basis, I support and encourage their right to vote once their sentence is expired.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
1.) Remove at risk criminals from the public and protect the citizens and visitors of state of Nevada. 2.) Rehabilitate offenders and inmates to re-enter society as productive citizens to their community.
