QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
When the Mother's life is in jeopardy. (ie: ectopic pregnancy, sepsis, etc.)
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
This answer is neutral due to the two parts listed. I am NOT in support of laws which simply legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia. However, I AM in support of laws which allow patients, with their healthcare provider, to issue Advanced Directives and Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders. I also support the patient's right to the concept of death with dignity once informed consent has been fully established.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
To hold government agencies accountable for the waste and fraud within their agencies.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
The "use it or lose it" budgeting approach creates incentives for agencies to go on end-of-year buying sprees. Incentives need to be put in place to create responsible spending within our agencies. Agencies should be rewarded for conservative spending and stewardship rather than penalized.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
Primary and secondary education should be taxpayer-funded in order to guarantee a base education in society. But even this has deteriorated in Nevada and needs to be further addressed. Post-secondary education should have to compete to get the business of educating our youth. Nothing in life is guaranteed and taxpayer-funded guarantees of education only create corruption and fraud. There are opportunities for students to gain a post-secondary education without having taxpayers foot the bill.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
No individual or business should be required to violate their moral and/or religious beliefs. This is protected by the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution. As well, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title VII. The Nevada State Constitution also protects the rights of an individual or business to not be required to violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Never. It should be left to the Church to decide if they close or not. Church = "When two or more are gathered in His name". Government should never be allowed to close the church.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. However, there needs to be review and reform to make these systems more efficient to better serve their patients and clients.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None. In regard to the COVID pandemic, the government has FAR overreached its authority by requiring various vaccines without proper oversite, study, and informed consent. The blatant disregard for safety and controls of the experimental vaccines continues to affect multitudes of people with no liability to the mandates. No government, school, or especially employer should be allowed to require vaccinations.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Secure the borders and support law enforcement.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Disagree
Israel has been a long-time ally of the United States. Israel has the right to defend itself against all threats and we must do our part to support Israel in doing so.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
We have to have secure borders. We have to support our Officers and staff in securing the borders.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Anyone should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. through LEGAL methods and opportunities.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Create competition. Competition breeds excellence. Hold current school administrators accountable for fraud and corruption within their agencies while strongly supporting quality teachers in the classrooms.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
While constantly seeking to improve and build on my spiritual beliefs, I strive to maintain Judeo-Christian values and beliefs.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I think a voter should be required to identify who they are and that they have the right to vote.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Voter ID / remove the opportunity for fraud and corruption by removing electronic gaps / return to BASIC counting methods / hold fraudulent players accountable.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes. Racism has no place in our society. However, some have made creating racist hate and discrimination a priority. Much of the time there is no evidence of racism yet this agenda will be pushed forward for a nefarious agenda.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
No.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
There are many environmental laws and regulations currently in place. Some of the most strict laws and regulations in the world. When/if they are to be modified, there are methods to do so. The liberal extremists have hurt the economy with strict and unreasonable regulations with no regard for the people who have to implement or work within those regulations. I have worked in the environmental industry and waste management working with both radioactive and chemical waste. There are methods of responsible environmental protection without destroying industries and jobs.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To responsibly serve and protect the people of the U.S. and the State of Nevada.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Please contact me at phone, web, or text. I will be glad to discuss ANY of the matters at length.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
Restrict government overreach and restore our freedoms and liberties which continue to be attacked year after year. Support parental rights and freedoms in choosing how their children are educated and how those resources are used. Support small businesses and rebuild our economy. There were too many businesses shut down at the hand of our government during COVID. Support our law enforcement Officers to help make our communities safe and keep them safe. This includes helping to secure our borders, supporting the court system and court officials. As well as giving them the ability to hold criminals accountable. We currently have some incredible businesses throughout Nevada. Our school systems should have the ability, if not the requirement, to rank toward the top in the country, not the bottom. We need to hold the Administrators accountable for this. As we build our school systems to those upper rankings, we will be able to bring even more diverse business opportunities to Nevada. This will perpetuate our economy into a solid, stable and lasting community.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Agree
If qualified immunity were removed, Officers would carry personal liability for doing their job. This would open the Officer up to frivolous lawsuits and make them subject to personal attack and expense through the legal system. This obviously would prohibit Officers from even entering the career of being a Peace Officer. Even with qualified immunity, an Officer must conduct themselves within departmental policy or may still bring personal liability for their actions outside of policy.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Mental health and community programs have a huge effect on community policing and law enforcement. All are required to work hand in hand. However, police departments should not have funds redirected. They need to be fully funded. As well, a priority needs to be given to adequate mental health capabilities which may well include a variety of community programs. There are many opportunities to explore these. However, law enforcement needs to be fully funded and supported.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. However, there SHOULD be expanded training opportunities throughout the community to increase gun safety.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
