RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants). Tax dollars should be spent on legitimate constitutional reasons, not for controversial procedures that takes innocent human life. Forcing pro-life citizens to fund abortions violates their conscience and First Amendment rights.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Life starts at conception, thus abortion is murder. I believe we need to defend innocent human life until death from natural causes. Rape is traumatic and evil, but I do not believe it is a justification for abortion. Rationale: If someone has been victimized by rape, does that give them the right to victimize another (i.e. the baby)? I think not.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Human life deserves legal protection from conception to natural death. Every stage of life reflects the inherent dignity of a unique individual. When society accepts practices that devalue life, such as abortion or euthanasia, it normalizes the idea that human worth is conditional and disposable. This devaluation erodes society's moral foundation, weakening compassion, exploiting vulnerability, and undermining human rights for all.
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
Human embryos created through artificial methods are human beings from the moment of conception. The method of their creation does not diminish their right to life. Destroying them equates to ending a human life. We must protect these vulnerable lives from destruction and uphold the fundamental principle that human life deserves respect and protection, regardless of its origin.
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
The Comstock Act should ban the transportation of abortion-inducting drugs, not only to uphold Congress's original intent to prohibit distribution, but to protect women from the risks of unsupervised chemical abortions. Data from over 865,000 mifepristone cases show that ~11% of women experience serious complications (to include hemorrhaging, infection, sepsis) within 45 days -- a rate 45 times higher than the FDA clinical trial. This Act prevents such risks and other life-threatening effects.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I oppose minimum wage as government interference distorting markets, raising costs/inefficiencies. It violates freedom of contract, pushes wages above productivity (decreasing hours & increasing unemployment), and exceeds constitutional authority.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Free enterprise harnesses individual initiative and voluntary exchange to create wealth, innovation, and opportunity. Private property rights incentivize productivity, stewardship and long-term investment. History shows that when these are protected, prosperity flourishes. On the contrary, when they're eroded, stagnation and government dependency follows. Free enterprise and right to private property are essential to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, which the Constitution safeguards.
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1) Reform entitlement programs & combat fraud: Medicaid/welfare programs have grown with improper payments/fraud/dependency traps. Citizenship/eligibility must be verified. 2) Full audit for state agencies: Terminate programs not meeting constitutional/performance metrics & apply sunset clause date requiring proof of effectiveness for reauthorization. 3) Eliminate spending on ideology (ie DEI) & bureaucracy bloat. 4) Repeal unnecessary/unconstitutional regulations that cost businesses/families.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state means limited federal power and robust religious liberty. The First Amendment bans Congress from establishing a national church or prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Thus, there is no official state religion and no federal interference in faith. This protects the church from government, not vice versa. It doesn't remove God from public life, schools, or culture.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Compelling individuals/businesses to provide services against their moral or religious beliefs violates the 1st Amendment's protections for free exercise of religion, speech, and association. The government has no authority to force private conscience or association. The 1st Amendment gives us the right to refuse service without being compromised/coerced. This was evident in the famous case with the Masterpiece Cakeshop Christian baker who refused to create a custom cake for a same-sex wedding.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Healthcare is not a right but there are situations when Medicaid/Medicare is appropriate. Unfortunately, government programs are incredibly inefficient, costly and an unconstitutional expansion of power. They increase dependency, inflate costs via distortions in the market, and create unsustainable entitlements with trillions in liabilities. Medicaid/Medicare need to be reformed to reduce the unnecessary burdening of the system. That being said, I fall between C and D.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
I oppose government surveillance. This violates individual privacy rights protected by the 4th Amendment and turns the government into a surveillance state tracking citizens' bodies. The Constitution grants no power for such databases. Economic burdens are best assessed through voluntary markets, insurance, and charity, not by coercive government databases that risk abuse, leaks, or rationing care based on costs/burden. Personal health and bio data belongs to individuals, not bureaucrats.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The CCP is an existential threat to US sovereignty. They've stolen over $500 billion in US IP annually through forced tech transfers, cyber espionage, and theft, gutting innovation. They've infiltrated telecom, media, social platforms, entertainment, and academia to shape narratives and suppress dissent. Repeated hacks into Pentagon systems, OPM data (which I was personally impacted by), and military networks expose US defenses. We must divest from CCP-tied firms to mitigate security risks.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
The relationship between the US and Israel is important. Israel is America's strongest democratic ally in a volatile region, sharing intelligence that combats terrorism threatening US interests, advancing joint technology/defense innovations, and maintain a bulwark against radical Islamism and Iranian aggression.
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
I am for legal immigration. I do not support illegal immigration.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
I support eliminating the Department of Education. The Constitution grants no federal authority over education and that power belongs to the states and the people. The DOE is bloated with bureaucracy/waste/inefficiencies (typical government). The DOE has delivered declining results, skyrocketing costs, and indoctrination. Returning control to states, local communities, and parents will foster better competition/innovation/accountability and education that serves families; not unions or ideology.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
Parents hold the primary, God-given authority over their children's upbringing, which is rooted in natural law and protected by the Constitution. The government is not a substitute for parental judgment in education or health. Parental rights are non-negotiable.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Children cannot consent to irreversible medical interventions or social indoctrination that mutilates their healthy bodies and minds. This violates parental authority, the child's right to bodily integrity, and basic medical ethics (first, do no harm). Liberty ends where harm to the innocent begins. Biology isn't bigotry.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
I believe that marriage is a sacred, voluntary union between one man and one woman, rooted in natural law, biology, and millennia of tradition. Government did not "create" marriage, nor should it dictate its meaning.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Strongly Disagree
While I respect individual liberty and adults should be free to gamble with their own money, a state-sponsored expansion of gambling brings about monetary and non-monetary costs to society. State-sponsored expansion of gambling often means government monopolies (i.e. lotteries), predatory advertising, and societal costs of addiction/crime onto taxpayers.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian who believes that the Scriptures are God’s infallible Word. My values come from God's Word. I strive to love God with all my heart/soul/mind, to love my neighbor as myself, to stand for truth/justice, and uphold the sanctity of life. I know our rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness are God-given and protected under the Constitution. As a military member, I swore an oath to protect/defend the Constitution. Now, as a State senator I continue to uphold that oath.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Proof of voter ID and residency should be mandatory for voting. Our elections are a matter of national security and it's imperative to protect/verify the integrity of them.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Reparation is a racist policy. Additionally, there is a great injustice in penalizing and taxing citizens who had no involvement with slavery.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
I believe nuclear power could be the solution for the growing demand for electricity. It provides dense, reliable electricity 24/7, it's independent of weather, it has a proven safety record, and has minimal emissions.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I consider myself as a constitutional conservative.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
The goal of the criminal justice system should be to protect innocent citizens' God-given rights to life, liberty, and property by holding violators accountable through swift, proportionate punishment, restitution, and deterrence, while following constitutional due process, presumption of innocence, and limited government power. Justice, not rehabilitation or equity, is the core aim.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Disagree
Protecting children from exploitation is vital, but the Constitution limits federal power and prioritizes parental authority over state bureaucracy. Families should control access and education. Criminal laws against predation and pornography should be enforced rigorously, but broad "protection" mandates invite censorship and surveillance. Liberty thrives when parents lead, not when the government becomes a nanny for them.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
The Constitution is the supreme law of the land and Sharia is fundamentally incompatible with American liberty. Sharia law rejects equality under law, free speech, religious freedom, and individual rights. Thus, it should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe in Constitutional carry and that our right to bear arms should not be infringed. I oppose any red flag laws or restrictions that hinder our 2nd Amendment right.
