RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Life starts at conception; thus, abortion is murder. I believe we need to defend all life until death from natural causes. Rape is traumatic and evil, but I do not believe it is a justification for abortion. Rationale: If someone has been victimized by rape, does that give them the right to victimize another (i.e. the baby)? I think not.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I absolutely do not condone any funding for the murdering of innocent life.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
I believe we need to defend all life until death from natural causes.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
As government increases, our freedoms decrease. Thus, I believe in small government and minimizing regulations. This also helps to increase our economic freedom. Regarding tax code, I support a flat tax rate to reduce loopholes, which provides a mechanism for people to pay their “fair” share. Additionally, it would simplify the tax code, such that the IRS could also be reduced in size. I don’t agree with penalizing prosperity (i.e. progressive tax) as it can increase negative behavior, such as tax evasion. I agree with the following quote: “You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.” Adrian Rogers
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
- Amend the Constitution to enforce a balanced budget. - Eliminate pork-filled earmarks in bills. - Reduce fraud/abuse in social programs, and put thresholds on certain benefits. This achieves the goal of providing relief to those who are suffering hard times, while not incentivizing continuing dependency. - Eliminate funding that support special interest agendas (CRT, inclusivity, queer, abortions, reparations, green new deal, non-citizens, etc). - Eliminate unnecessary government positions or departments (i.e. Department of Education) and bring decision-making back to the local level. - Reduce the IRS by simplifying the tax code to a flat tax rate. - Eliminate Congress’ ability to award themselves pay raises, and stop all pay/benefits when they shut down the government (i.e. enact continuing resolutions). - Cut foreign aid that does not directly benefit our national security.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
College is not a right. Our public education already has costly issues and inefficiencies. To include college would not only magnify those costs, but would create over-consumption, and devalue the quality of education and the degree.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
This is in violation of our 1st Amendment.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under no circumstances should the government have the ability to close churches. Again, this is in violation of our 1st Amendment.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Healthcare is not a right, but there are times when it is appropriate. Unfortunately, government programs are incredibly inefficient and costly. I believe Medicaid and Medicare need to be reformed to reduce unnecessary burdening of the system. That being said, I fall somewhere between C and D.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Under no circumstances should the government mandate experimental medicine.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Currently, we have an invasion on our border where unchecked individuals are entering. We need to secure our borders, conduct background checks on those entering our country, and prohibit known enemies/terrorists from entering our country. Additionally, we need to tighten financial controls against countries that support Islamic terrorist (blockades, embargos, etc).
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
Israel has already given land up for peace, yet its neighbors remain hostile. There should be no pressure for them to give up more land.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
I am for legal immigration. I do not support illegal immigration. The Biden Administration has caused a crisis/invasion on our border, where our National Security vulnerability has drastically increased. We need to increase our border security and to finish building the wall.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
As stated before, I support legal immigration, and we have laws already in place for it. Patriotic assimilation is also a key step in this process.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have the ability to put their tax dollars into the school of choice. This will incentivize the schools to be competitive and provide a better quality of education.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I believe that we were founded as a Christian nation, and God gives us responsibility to be community builders, care for His creations, follow His word, and be productive in the talents He has given us. Thus, governance is largely our responsibility; not the government's.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
We already have laws that protect our rights from discrimination.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
Marriage is the of union between man and woman.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
The Critical Race Theory is destructive, inappropriate, racist, and demoralizing.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian. I believe in God's word (Bible) and that all Scripture is God-breathed. His word is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. Though, I have life experiences (military/civilian) that weigh into my decisions, it is first and foremost God’s word and His counsel that I seek to guide me, and keep me in ‘check’.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Proof of voter ID and residency should be mandatory for voting.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I was one of the data analysts for USEIP. I helped write the Colorado Canvassing report. Know that I will do everything in my power to secure election integrity. I will fight for the following: - 1 day, 1 vote; - Voter ID & residence required; - Hand count votes under live-stream cameras; - Anti-counterfeit ballots; - No mail-in or absentee ballots (except for military & disabled); - No drop-box; - Clean voter rolls; - Public forensic audit; - No election machines/software (ie Dominion, Hammer, Scorecard, etc).
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism is not a threat to domestic security. In fact, the United States is the least racist country.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Reparations is a racist policy. Additionally, there is a great injustice in penalizing and taxing citizens who had no involvement with slavery.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. Environmental regulations are no different. The CA timber industry is a profound example of this. In the 1980s, CA environmentalists increased regulations in the timber industry, with the goal of protecting the forests and the environment. Unfortunately, this incentivized the timber companies to reduce/stop timber harvesting. In the long-run, the forests increased fuel loads with old growth and dead trees. Thus, when a forest fire occurred, it became more catastrophic, destroying millions of acres, costing billions in fire fighting and FEMA, and polluting our skies. All these negative impacts was counter to the goal of protecting our forests/environment.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
I absolutely believe that we need to be energy independent.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The government should be limited, with the purpose to maintain life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
5Apr2022: Testimony given at the Board of County Commissioners (El Paso County), pertaining to election systems and conflict of interest with Runbeck contract. https://clerkandrecorder.elpasoco.com/clerk-to-the-board/meeting-video-archives/ https://viewer.earthchannel.com/PlayerController.aspx?&PGD=elpasococo&eID=754
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I am tired of politicians continuing to discard my freedoms, amassing us with debt, and forcing evil agendas on us. I protected and defended the Constitution for 25 years, while serving in the USAF. After the 2020 election, I saw overwhelming irregularities and vulnerabilities of our elections, followed by the massive over-reach from our government, the removal of our freedoms, and the invasion of our borders. I knew I had to engage and continue to fight and defend the Constitution--but this time, as a civilian. I will fight for the following: Election integrity, small government; low taxes; fiscal responsibility; term limits; secure borders; low regulations; economic freedom; abolishing medical mandates; traditional education (remove CRT and the inappropriate sexualization of our children).
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
If police officers are acting in line with department policy, then they are acting lawfully and should not be prosecuted.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe in Constitutional carry and that our right to bear arms should not be infringed. I will fight against any red flag laws or restrictions that hinder our 2nd Amendment.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
