OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Taxpayer dollars should never be used to subsidize organizations that perform, promote or facilitate abortion.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Every innocent human life has inherent value and deserves legal protection. I support protecting both mother and child whenever possible and limiting abortion to circumstances where a physician determines it is necessary to save the life of the mother.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I believe every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent worth and dignity. The law should recognize and protect human life from its earliest beginning until natural death.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

We are a nation of laws, federal laws enacted by Congress should be enforced as written, and abortion-inducing drugs should not be used to circumvent protections enacted by states and their citizens.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

The government should be cautious of mandating what private companies and small business pay their employees. The best way to raise wages is through economic growth, workforce development, and a competitive job market that creates demand for workers.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Free enterprise and private property rights are foundational to individual liberty, economic prosperity and the American way of life. When government protects property rights, limits unnecessary regulation and allows entrepreneurs to succeed, everyone does better.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1. Increase oversight and accountability of state agency spending to ensure taxpayer dollars are being used effectively and efficiently. 2. Prioritize responsible budgeting, reduce long-term government growth and put money back in the pockets of hardworking Arkansans through tax cuts. 3. Eliminate government programs and appropriations that fail to demonstrate measurable outcomes or serve a legitimate public purpose.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment was intended to prevent the government from establishing a national religion, not to silence people of faith or remove religious expression from public life. Religious Americans should be free to live out their beliefs, participate in public life and express their faith without government interference. As an elected State Representative, my faith in Jesus Christ guides me in all I do.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

No American should be forced by their government to choose between earning a living and following their sincerely held religious beliefs.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

The view that most closely matches my view on healthcare would be C). At this time, I believe the best path forward is preserving Medicare and Medicaid for the populations they were designed to serve while encouraging greater competition, innovation, transparency and patient choice throughout the healthcare system. The ultimate goal should be improving access and affordability through market-driven solutions rather than expanding government control over healthcare.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

Individuals have a right to medical privacy.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

China is one of the greatest threats facing America. We must remain committed to strengthening our national security, protecting critical industries and reducing dependence on hostile foreign entities.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes. Israel is America's strongest democratic ally in the Middle East and an important partner in promoting security, intelligence cooperation and stability. I also recognize the historic and biblical significance of Israel and believe America benefits from maintaining a strong relationship with our ally.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

I oppose sanctuary city policies. Federal immigration laws should be enforced, and state and local governments should work WITH, not against, law enforcement efforts to secure our borders and protect our communities.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Education decisions are best made closest to the students they affect. Parents, teachers, local school boards and states are better equipped than federal bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., to determine what is best for our communities. Returning authority to the states would increase accountability, flexibility, and parental involvement while reducing federal overreach. I believe this would ultimately improve overall quality of education for students as well as lower the costs to educate.

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

American education should be accountable to American families and taxpayers, not foreign governments. Foreign funding can create conflicts of interest, influence curriculum and research priorities, and pose national security concerns. American schools and universities should educate students based on truth, academic excellence and the interests of our nation, not the priorities or influence of foreign governments.

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

Parents, not government, have the primary responsibility and authority to raise their children. The government should respect and protect the rights of parents to make decisions regarding their children's education, healthcare and overall well-being.

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

The gender transition of children absolutely constitutes child abuse. I continue to work diligently to root out vendors who advocate for gender transition of children within our state's Division of Children and Family Services - Arkansas panel delays contract amendment over company’s stance on transgender youth https://arkansasadvocate.com/2025/11/21/arkansas-panel-delays-contract-amendment-over-companys-stance-on-transgender-youth/

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Very simply, I believe that marriage was and is established by God. God established marriage as the union between one man and one woman and this remains the foundational institution for families and society.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior on March 9th 2004, I am an ordained minister, husband, father, and pastor. My faith in Jesus Christ shapes my worldview and guides both my personal life and public service. I believe every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth. My values are rooted in faith, family, personal responsibility, servant leadership, the sanctity of life, religious liberty and a commitment to truth.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Free and fair elections require both access and accountability. Photo identification is a reasonable and widely supported measure that helps ensure every legal vote is counted and that voters can have confidence in the integrity of the election process. We have that kind of security in Arkansas.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Simply and honestly put, placing males in spaces designated for females is a radically insane policy of liberal democrats. Women and girls should not be forced to surrender privacy, safety or competitive opportunities because of "gender ideology." Sex-specific spaces and athletic competitions exist for legitimate reasons and should remain protected based on biological sex.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

I do not support alarmist policies that expand government control, weaken American energy independence or increase costs on working families. Energy and environmental policy should be guided by sound science and the needs of American consumers. For reference, most, if not all of Al Gore's most alarming predictions 22 years ago from, "An Inconvenient Truth" have failed to materialize, while the policy responses he helped inspire have proven to be extraordinarily flawed.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

I support an all-of-the-above energy strategy, but nuclear power and natural gas will be the backbone of meeting future electricity demand. Reliable, affordable energy is essential to economic growth, national security and maintaining a high quality

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I am a constitutional conservative committed to my faith, my family, our freedom, a limited government, fiscal responsibility, and the rule of law.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The criminal justice system should protect the public, deliver justice for victims, hold offenders accountable and reduce future crime through appropriate rehabilitation.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

Protecting children is one of government's most fundamental responsibilities and an area where I've spent a significant amount of time working since being elected. Law enforcement and policymakers should continue combating online predators, human trafficking, child exploitation and the distribution of child sexual abuse material.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

American courts should apply American law. The Constitution, NOT Sharia law or any other foreign legal system, must remain the supreme legal authority governing our nation. I have supported legislation in Arkansas to ensure constitutional protections remain the foundation of our legal system.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I support and agree with the Arkansas Republican Party Platform statement on the 2nd Amendment which reads, "Without the right to own and bear arms to serve as an individual’s hedge against government overreach and as a means for self-defense in our home, on our property, and of our person, none of our rights and freedoms can be guaranteed."
