The candidate added the following: "Health care decisions are personal between the patient and doctor for each individual. Examples of vaccines required, but not mandated, for children to enter schools include measles, mumps, rubella, polio.  All vaccinations must be fully tested and approved by the proper and approved medical and scientific process. Parental consent, for children under 18 years old, must be honored for any healthcare treatment. An individual’s healthcare decisions should not be used against them in the workplace or community."

The candidate added the following: "Our environment is very important to living healthy lives and providing resources for a growing society. We must have a balance of environmental laws and regulations along with providing resources, space, and mobility in our communities, nation, and global travel options."

The constitution was formed by the people: “We, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” We must continue to work and lead our state of NC to ensure liberty and justice for all."

The candidate added the following: "As a wife of 30 years, mother of 4 adult children who are educated in NC public schools, a business finance/accounting/IT professional of 13 years, and a public school business/finance/marketing/microsoft teacher leader of 15 years, I will bring many life and career experiences to the NC House 57 to serve the people. I take pride in having a strong work ethic, success in working in teams, and ability to create smart solutions that solve problems. With my career and life experience, I am the best candidate to serve NC families, businesses, and communities as the next NC House 57 representative. My campaign platform summary is:1. Economy: Keep taxes low, reduce inflation, grow private sector businesses, and develop our workforce through a variety of educational institutions.2. Public Safety: Support our first responders - Law enforcement, Fire Rescue/EMT, and healthcare providers. Ensure safe neighborhoods and streets for all.3. Education: Improve student proficiencies in core academics of reading, writing, math, science, and civics. Offer competitive educator compensation packages and career paths. Allow parents educational choices. Protect children from dangerous ideologies. Develop productive, responsible, and service minded citizens who take pride in America.4. Healthcare: Ensure access to a variety of healthcare options for individuals and families in North Carolina, for physical and mental health wellness. Support training of healthcare professionals in our excellent college and university systems.5. Housing: Create solutions that help meet the housing needs of our community, employers, and boomerang adult children.

The candidate added the following: "Strongly Agree. Public safety is crucial to a safe, prosperous, and family/business friendly community. Crime rates are very high in Greensboro and as a citizen, educator, parent and grandparent, this is of high concern and priority. We must support the rule of law, our law enforcement profession, and all first responders through funding, respectful mindsets, education, and community outreach. This will be a major priority as a NC House Representative."

The candidate added the following: "We must include funding for mental health and community outreach programs to build and maintain an effective police department. We also must have the funding to support 1st responder recruitment, training, and equipment. We cannot ensure the safety of our citizens and businesses without adequate funding and excellent employees to serve and protect our communities. We have already experienced the terrible consequences in the last two years of the actions of those in elected roles who “defunded the police”. Funding and supporting our police departments is a top priority for our Guilford County community and state of NC."

The candidate added the following: "We as USA citizens have the 2nd amendment right to bear arms. I am in support of this right to protect my family, self, home, and community. Public safety is an ongoing high priority role of our NC legislature. Our homes, schools, businesses, churches, and community areas must be safe places for all."

The candidate added the following: "Strongly Disagree. Gun violence is at an all time high in our city. We need to address the root causes of gun violence and work to create preventative measures to better society. For example, building neighborly relationships with our citizens, offering education choices to parents, affordable housing options, workforce development/training for upward mobility, the faith community involvement, and access to healthcare. Victims of gun violence will need family support, faith community, and healthcare (physical and mental) to overcome their experience with gun violence."

The candidate added the following: "Yes.  As studied and proven, there are anatomic differences between men and women in the musculoskeletal system. The male musculoskeletal system has advantages over the female, which impacts athletic performance. Women’s sports must be protected, as originally designed in Title IX. Women deserve fairness and the right to compete with biological women only."
