The closure of churches over the Covid-19 mandates was unconstitutional. Government was arbitrarily choosing who was essential and who was not. It was blatant religious discrimination. The First Amendment says Congress shall make no law respecting (regarding) an institution of religion. This protects churches from government intrusion. It is none of their business.

Government funded healthcare is socialism and socialism never works. Medicare is insurance paid for by the individual during their working years and is not a true government program, though it is government managed. Medicare and Medicaid should remain for now because people depend upon them, but incentives to move toward private healthcare should be considered.

There are too many list. Federal government should be restricted to the enumerated powers outlined in the Constitution and this would drastically reduce spending. Everything else should be the responsibility of the states according to the Tenth Amendment

I want to be part of the body that moves the Life Amendment to the Iowa Constitution to the ballot for the November 22 election. The amendment could be stronger but it provides a foundation for other legislation to protect life.

I believe Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, that He became a man and lived a sinless life, died as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world, rose from the dead, and will return to establish His kingdom on earth. His sacrificial death was the greatest act of love the world has ever seen. His words are eternal and provide the foundation for good law and freedom in this age. His return will initiate an age of peace on earth. I pray for His return.

In person voting only, except under very specific circumstances for absentee voting, such as soldiers over seas, etc. Paper ballots with watermark. Vote counting should be carried out by each county auditor with transparency and observation. Counting machines (not voting machines) can be used, but must not be connected to the Internet AT ALL.

Laws should be designed to protect all people and those who disregard those laws should answer for it. Critical Race Theory is a threat to domestic security because it promotes racism and divides our nation. One well known individual, who happens to be black, said: "Racism would go away if we just stopped talking about it."
