QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Elective abortion should not be allowed unless it is absolutely necessary to save the life of the mother - and that is a very rare occurence.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Strongly Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Strongly Agree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The phrase "Separation of Church and State" does not appear in our founding documents but it is often claimed to be in the First Amendment. The first amendment was NOT designed to keep Christians and Christian principles out of government. But it was designed to keep the Government's nose out of the Church.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Conscience is a sacred property.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. I am supportive of Israel from a biblical perspective. There is a lot of talk about whether the leadership of Israel is good or bad, etc. I personally don't have the intel to have an opinion on that. But we must remember the big picture and that God has a plan and He often uses very flawed people to accomplish that plan. Israel is part of His plan.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
"C" most closely fits my view because "D" (though desirable) is a long way from reality and could only happen as private healthcare grows stronger.
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Strongly Disagree
Medical Privacy must be protected. Records are the responsibility of the person and their doctor, not the government.
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Minimum wage should not be seen as a living wage, but as a guard rail to prevent unscrupulous employers from abusing employees. Minimum wage that is to high enters into a socialistic mentality and destroys the incentive to work and achieve.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
This is essentially the unalienable right granted by God and articulated in the Declaration of Independence as "The Pursuit of Happiness."
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
Transparency, Zero-based budgeting, Auditing
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Strongly Disagree
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Strongly Agree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
Protect the public from bad actors, punish wrong doers appropriately, and bring about demonstratable reform of offenders.
Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.
Strongly Agree
Human trafficking is a much bigger problem than most people realize. I support legislation to establish a well equipped task force to end this modern version of slavery.
Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None, other than keeping guns out of the hands of violent felons, as well as children without responsible adult oversight.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
I consider myself "very conservative" but I recognize that there are people who call themselves conservative who go to far. I think of myself as a Christian, Constitutional, Conservative.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Strongly Agree
Parents have a God-given right to raise their children, not the government.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely!
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
The definition of marriage has been established for 5000 e years. Strong families are the foundation of a stable and free society and marriage is what establishes and propagates families . Families must be honored and protected from government overreach.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, Who laid aside His heavenly glory, came to earth in the form of a man to be the perfect sacrifice for the sins of mankind, because there was no one on earth qualified to do so. He lived a sinless life and died, shedding His blood willingly to pay for the sins of the world. He died, was buried, rose to life again on the third day, was seen by hundreds of people, ascended into heaven, and send the Holy Spirit who dwells in the hearts of all who believe and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord. He will return one day as the King of Kings to establish His kingdom on earth, and will fulfill the angelic announcement given at His birth: Peace, and on earth, good will toward men."
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
Man has far less impact on global climate change than we are often told. I believe in clean air and water and we must be responsible stewards of the planet, but I strongly disagree with the carbon capture/carbon credit scam. Many scientists acknowledge that CO2 does not hurt our atmosphere. It is what makes plants grow!
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) to produce a stable decentralized power grid. New designs are much safer and burn the spent fuel from the old style reactors.
