RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I empathize with girls and women who are pregnant due to rape, incest, or have their life or their baby's life threaten due to the pregnancy. This is a very small percentage of abortions and does not change the fact that an innocent life is destroyed, but they are probably the rare circumstances where abortion may be allowed.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

What is your position on the minimum wage?
The government arbitrarily setting a wage is not ideal for free markets to operate efficiently. The value of the work to be performed should be set by market forces. Thomas Sowell states, "the minimum wage is zero". I tend to agree with him.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
The government should not mandate or regulate church closures, rather it can request such a closure in times of emergencies. Church governance should have precedence over church affairs and closures.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Should religious schools which accept state funds be allowed to only admit families and students who agree to adhere to their statement of faith?
Yes
Regardless of who provides the funds, the students/families admitted still need to follow the Statement of Faith of the admitting school. It becomes a slippery slope when once admitted, students/families determine they no longer want or need to adhere to the religious tenants of the school. Religious schools should be very careful about any and all stipulations that come with accepting government funding.

HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. To more closely reflect my view, '...availability should be for US citizens and permanent residents who qualify for it, along with private healthcare options.' The government should not be in the healthcare insurance market, where it drives up private insurance costs for those who do not qualify, or want government funded healthcare insurance.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Specific work environments and career fields, where job skills necessitate vaccinations for the health of the worker, might be such circumstances. Even in these situations, religious and health exemptions should be available to the employees/students

NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
I believe the US relationship with Israel is important. Israel is a stable, reliable, and democratically elected political ally, in a very strategic location. As a Christian, grounded in a Judeo-Christian belief system, and with a biblical view of Israel's history, it is my contention that God will look favorably on countries who support Israel.

VALUES
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
No healthcare diagnosis or treatment, whether mental, reproductive, or otherwise, should be given to a child without first receiving written consent from the parent unless an emergency situation arises risking immediate death.
Strongly Agree
I would suggest adding the phrase "and legal guardian".

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian believer. A sinner saved by grace, through faith, by the completed, sufficient redeeming work of Jesus Christ's death on the cross which has brought me into right relationship with my heavenly Father. I believe I am being sanctified by the Holy Spirit as I live out the salvation that has been worked in me. I believe in the fully inspired, inerrancy, and final authority of the Bible as God's Word on all matters on which it speaks and the foundation for my worldview.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING
Voting absentee by mail ballot should be limited to those meeting at least one of the following criteria: 1) 65 years of age or older on Election Day, 2) sick or disabled, 3) expecting to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day, or 4) confirmed to be absent from the county of registration during voting.
Agree
I strongly agree that absentee voting via mail in ballots needs to be tightly controlled, monitored and limited. However, I question some of the above criteria.

EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I do not believe that racism is a domestic security threat. I do believe that there is a concerted effort through DEI, Critical Race Theory, Anti-White teachings to undermine the beginnings of the US, the Constitution, and the Founding Fathers. Without a doubt there has been and continues to be racism, however I do not believe it is institutional or systemic and the attempt to at rewriting our history to try and make it so is causing great harm to our country.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources - I selected this primarily because of the first phrase of the sentence. The second phrase I would reword to read "deters development of reliable alternative sources" to make it more reflective of my view.

ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Simply put, the general purpose of government is to secure the freedoms and protect the rights of "We the People" as outlined in the constitution. The limited purpose of the government is clearly stated in the Preamble to the Constitution: to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We do not need anymore restrictions on gun ownership. We do need to enforce and prosecute with the laws already on the books. Undermining and defunding police, no bail laws, encouraging retail theft, woke AG's are greater detriments to public safety than gun ownership. The move to encourage better gun storage, continued gun training, and the development of less lethal weapons is also helpful. However, anymore attempts to restrict our 2nd amendment rights are not needed.
