QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Neutral
I am more interested in public funds being used to support women in choosing life. There are organizations which provide assistance throughout pregnancy, including healthcare, maternal housing and baby supplies. Often, women choose abortion because they are not in a position financially and/or physically to care for themselves through pregnancy and a child. Instead of providing restrictions, let's establish more pregnancy support centers and provide women the tools they need to choose life.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Disagree
Video or phone consultation should be options, and as with any other drug, potential side effects should always be discussed.
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I support unrestricted first trimester freedom of choice and exceptions thereafter in cases of rape, incest and medical emergency.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
The Third Amendment is typically dismissed as irrelevant to modern society. However, it is the basis for a Constitutional right to privacy. In 18th Century Colonial America, King George spied on the colonists by quartering soldiers in private homes. The Third Amendment prohibits this, and thereby creates a right to privacy, which can be logically extended to the doctor's office. Let the states decide and let the Supreme Court be the arbiter of Constitutional questions.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
I favor a national sales tax over income tax.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.
Choose not to answer
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
One current Presidential candidate, who was once a passionate believer in the global climate crisis, has more recently noticed that policies established to address that crisis (promoted by the World Economic Forum and the China Clean Development Mechanism) are making a few people extraordinarily wealthy, while dramatically increasing the number of people living in poverty. Wildfires are often used to support the narrative, but some California wildflowers only germinate when exposed to fire.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Religiously based values provide critical guidance for a moral and ethical society. However, most people fall prey to the temptation that their beliefs are the best beliefs and should therefore dominate. The Framers of the Constitution knew that this tendency had resulted in religious tyranny and wars throughout history, including Colonial America. Thus, Congress was prohibited from establishing an official religion, and America became home to Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Mormons, etc.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Under NO circumstance.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C - and I strongly oppose penalties designed to enforce universal insurance. They lead to insurance profiteering.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
B
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Many current Members of Congress are under the financial influence of the Peoples Republic of China, including Ted Lieu, my opponent. Lieu has a PAC funded by members of the Committee of 100, a Chinese influence operation comprised of prominent Chinese nationals and Chinese Americans. Lieu's family immigrated to the United States from Taiwan. Thus, not only is he betraying the United States, he is betraying his family homeland of Taiwan.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
I am UNEQUIVOCALLY pro-Israel. My opponent, Ted Lieu, has long supported HAMAS (including a $1,000 donation to Rashida Tlaib, signing a letter urging the US to fund HAMAS and voting against censuring Tlaib over her support for the grisly October 7th attacks), Israel is the only democracy in the MidEast with equal civil rights for all its people, regardless of ethnicity or religion. It is our strongest MidEast ally and helps maintain Suez Canal/Red Sea access commercially and militarily.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
We treat our veterans like dirt. We must protect them and provide them with the respect and care they have earned and stop legislatively enabling big developers from stealing their land. We must evict interlopers from veterans' housing. We must stop shooting up our soldiers with experimental chemicals. We must cease DEI policies which promote indelible qualities, such as skin color, over talent, skill and knowledge. We must listen when they risk their careers in order to speak truth to power.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
The ICE-designed barrier must be completed, including along rail yards. Drug cartels use rail yard gaps to traffic narcotics, weapons and humans into the US. They maintain those access points by corrupting elected officials in those jurisdictions. Texas Governor Greg Abbott's strategy of sending busloads to sanctuary cities of the torrent of illegal migrants flooding Texas is appropriate. Border communities must not be forced to suffer from the bad decisions of liberal mayors.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
People who long to live under the US Constitution, who properly apply and wait their turn as part of a well-managed immigration process should be welcomed. This includes law abiding people who can financially demonstrate they will not be a burden on the state and skilled workers filling a talent gap in this country or others whose talents would provide a unique benefit. However, Congress must pass legislation to facilitate quick deportation of illegal migrants. Title 42 was CoVid dependent.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
I also support a strong Parents Bill of Rights, because not all parents have alternatives to public schools for their children. State legislatures, such as California's, have been passing harmful curriculum and healthcare policies, while establishing more and more conditions under which children can be seized from good parents. This must stop! A federal Parents Bill of Rights is the solution to governmental overreach at the state level.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Strongly Agree
The Department of Education is the biggest source of unnecessary administrative bloat causing college tuitions to mushroom, and which has been spreading ideological poisons, such as Diversity Equity and Inclusion (or as I call it, Divisiveness Iniquity and Exclusion), Critical Race Training and the hyper-sexual indoctrination of young children. It must be yanked up by the roots. American parents need a federal platform upon which to stand and fight for the well-being of their children.
VALUES
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Disagree
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
A Parents Bill of Rights is needed to battle the spread of harmful school curricula and harmful health policies, including mask and vaccine mandates and the hyper-sexual indoctrination of young children. American parents need a federal platform upon which to stand and fight for the well-being of their children. Moreover, children must be protected from government agencies (read: FBI) directly involved with sex and forced labor trafficking.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Government funds should never be used for genital mutilation or harmful hormones and puberty blockers, which cause depression and impede brain development.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
Like my ancestors for 5,784 years, I am Jewish, and I treasure my Jewish identity. These days, I tilt Conserva-Dox in practice. Like an onion, Judaism provides infinite layers of spiritual and historic knowledge and wisdom to peel back and examine for growth. Because of this, my spiritual beliefs evolve based on my growing knowledge of my faith. However, my values remained grounded in the Ten Commandments. Though Judaism stresses responsibility and personal duty to community, the Age of Reason forms the basis of our belief in the power and rights of the individual. The balance between these forces is the essence of what it means to me to be a Republican.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Technologically advanced countries, such as Switzerland, Israel and France have voter ID laws and have all returned to paper ballots and single day voting, They have all determined that machines are hackable, and extended voting periods and lack of voter identification requirements are conditions that facilitate cheating.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
CRT = Racism: Racism cannot be abolished by practicing racism.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
The trans infiltration of women's spaces, sports, clothing, beauty pageants, etc. is pure misogyny and the Talibanization of American women. In other words, men are replacing women in the public sphere as if there were no difference. Men do not make better women. This must stop.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.
Strongly Disagree
In January 2020, I heard on the news that 2019 had been the hottest year on record. I researched July and August temperatures all over the planet, from Manitoba to Johannesburg, from Death Valley to Tierra del Fuego. I could not find a single place on Planet Earth in which 2019 was the hottest year. What I did find was a $6 Billion entity called the China Clean Development Mechanism and the Thousand Talents program, which funded research targeted to support the climate crisis narrative.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear power is the best renewable energy. Moreover, a team of scientists from Texas A&M has solved the problem of nuclear waste by dramatically extending the useful life of the fuel rods, while also dramatically reducing their radiative half-life.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Lean Conservative
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The framers of the Constitution created a government strong enough to promote the public good, but not so strong that it becomes a threat to individual liberties. I agree.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
Never.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
Never.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None that are not already on the books.
