RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am pro life, however sometimes abortion is necessary to protect a woman's life when there is a threat to the woman's life, There are certain disorders of pregnancy which can cause maternal morbidity and mortality if pregnancy is continued. Under such conditions, abortion may be advised by the doctor to save her life. Saving a woman's life might be necessary at any point in the pregnancy and when required abortion should be undertaken as promptly as possible to minimize the risks to the woman's health. The fulfilment of human rights requires that women can access safe abortion when it is indicated to protect their health. Physical health is widely understood to include conditions that aggravate pregnancy and are aggravated by pregnancy. The scope of Mental health includes psychological distress or mental sufferings caused by the pregnancy. for example forced sexual act and diagnosis of severe fetal impairment. Thirdly when pregnancy is the result of rape or incest. The protection of a woman from cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment requires that those women who have become pregnant as a result of forced sexual acts at a very young age should lawfully access safe abortion. In such extreme cases there should be minimal delay due to legal formalities or police investigations. Fourth reason is when there is fetal impairment. Restrictive abortion laws should permit abortion upon diagnosis of fetal impairment due to genetic or other causes. However these causes have to be specific before permitting abortion, with the diagnosis of fetal impairment or anomalies due to genetic or other causes leading to incompatibility with life or independent life. In these cases abortion should not be allowed if the woman refuses prenatal or diagnostic tests. All policies should be geared tgo respecting, protecting and fulfilling human rights of women, to achieving positive health outcomes for women and meeting the particular needs of women who are rape/incest survivors, poor, young or living with HIV/AIDS.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

Medicaid does pay for comprehensive reproductive health care including family planning, prenatal care and services related to childbirth. if a woman would otherwise die, or if her pregnancy results from rape or incest, upon medical advice abortion is covered.

Do you support the proposed Yes for Life amendment to the Kentucky Constitution, which makes clear that there is no state constitutional right to abortion?

Yes

This is an important issue because of the human values. Life begins very early in the womb and should be allowed to grow naturally without interference.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

Terminally ill patients have the option to refuse treatment which would lead to death naturally. When a physician facilitates a patient's death by providing necessary means/information to the patient to end his or her life, causing assisted suicide, it goes against constitution and human life has to be preserved at all costs.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

The Pandemic is waning, and economy is recovering, jobs are plentiful, and incomes are growing fast but there are serious challenges like rising inflation. Rather than leaving it to Federal Reserve to handle inflation, through higher interest rates, policy makers should focus on tax reforms to boost economy. In the Business taxation, the tax code should be improved to boost investments, leading to more jobs. In Individual tax, simple changes such as eliminating tax penalties on savings would help families enjoy financial security. After more than 2 years of a global pandemic, policy makers must keep up with the new economic landscape for growth and opportunity. Inflation is highest after 40 years. Business tax Reforms: If we aim to grow the workforce and become more productive, it requires thriving businesses. High corporate taxes in particular have shown to depress investment and constrain economic prosperity. 1. Cut taxes on corporates to maintain a competitive corporate tax rate. Reduce and simplify international tax rules. 2. Remove double taxation of corporate taxes. 3. Remove tax and inflation penalties from investments. 4. Eliminate unsound business tax expenditures. 5. Clean up the structure of Business Tax Code. 6. Reducing the cost of making an investment in a new factory or better equipment by removing tax hurdles standing in the way of such business decisions will create more employment opportunities for workers and lead to real wage growth. 7. Simpler tax credit for R&D . 8. Maintain a competitive Individual Tax Code: 1.Streamline child related benefits in one provision and work related in another. 2.Remove tax barriers from personal savings. 3. Clean up the structure of the individual tax code. 4. Tax structure should take inflation in account.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

When government spending and budget are equal, it is said to be a balance budget. 1.Iwill review the financial reports to measure and track year-over-year growth and progress. I would study the income and the expenses very carefully and if necessary, I would pay in field visits to see the expenses myself. How did we perform in the past and what is the financial longevity? 2. I would constantly manage Medicaid and Medicare expenses; I will come with programs that pay for performance and not just constantly doing the same things over and over again. 3. Social Security also consumes a large part of resources. I would be fair and equitable while handing over taxpayer's dollars. I would suggest spending cuts and revenue increases to achieve balance. I would reduce the interests paid by the Goverrnment by increasing the revenue. 4. I will reduce Government subsidies to commercial activities, be very responsible for education, housing, training, law enforcement spending. 5. I will study last year's budget and the areas of strength and weaknesses, was there a budget surplus or deficit? 6. I will create realistic goals to avoid further budget deficits. I will focus on reducing expenses. 7. I will study all long term and current contracts to determine future liabilities. I will cut down costs in those areas which have overestimated expenses. 8. I will subtract projected expenses from estimated revenues and see if income expense is equal or less, this would indicate a budget surplus or deficit. 9. I will perform a deep analysis of all expenses to seek opportunities to reduce expenses or increase revenues. 10. Once the budget is set, I will measure the progress against the established budget.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

With Corona Virus Pandemic and inflation, taxpayers are burdened with expensive gas and food items. Although there are long term goals for the society of having highly educated people bringing more taxes in future, right now is not the time to fund college education on taxpayer's money.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

Under Americans with Disabilities Act, employers have to make reasonable accommodations to the mandatory vaccine during the Covid Pandemic. But if an employee refuses vaccination on religious grounds or beliefs, then 1. First one should decide if the objection is based on religious belief or personal choice? 2. After deciding, the refusal should be discussed with interactive communication. 3. Decision will be based on outcome of the talk. If the request, is it has to be accommodated.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

In case of a Viral Pandemic. Religious gatherings are not immune from virus spreading too fast, the potential negative or catastrophic consequences resulting from these gatherings are obvious. Corona Virus is highly contagious, can be passed on to people from carriers of the virus who are asymptomatic and can cause severe injury or death to the healthy population. So, Government can impose prohibition of large gatherings. If terrorism or war breaks out in a country, the Government can close churches.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

My answer is C. An efficient health care system can contribute significantly to a country's economy, development and industrialization. Government funded healthcare which provides healthcare for all including the unemployed and poor, for example the affordable healthcare, Medicare and Medicaid. A) Healthcare for all or universal healthcare funded by the Government is more inclusive of patients irrespective of their preexisting conditions or job status. But it is not the role of the Government to provide social services to all. Healthcare should be provided mainly by the private sector, for profit insurance corporations or by non profit corporations. Those who are not insured can be given a voucher system or use tax credits for healthcare. The low cost Government healthcare would impose too much competition against for-profit insurers whose companies will fail. From patient's perspective, they can not choose between treatment options and surgical procedures. Due to decreased opportunity for high compensation, few doctors will enter the medical profession and will add on to the shortage of medical doctors.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

In case of Viral Pandemic, the schools, government or employer can require a reasonable and due process of vaccination in the legitimate interest of public health for its students, faculty, staff and employees. Vaccine mandates are harmful and unacceptable infringement of personal freedom and choice. Concern for human rights also has a role to play as compulsory vaccinations is an interference with the human rights of bodily integrity. However, any activity can be prohibited in a state of emergency, to maintain life, health and safety of the masses. Similarly in certain cases vaccination mandate can not apply if employee is working remotely and needs vaccine only while returning to office. Younger unvaccinated people are getting sicker faster and more often. Roadmap to recovery guide requires that employers, schools and government must meet CDC requirements to keep customers, students and employees healthy and safe in schools and at work.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Islamic terrorism rooted in the Middle East and South Asia, these extremely violent religious group is a minority but their threats are real.Terrorism feeds of lies, hate, conspiracies and misinformation. need to practice greater Social Media companies need to make sustained efforts to fight hatred and terrorism at their level.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Agree

There is a crisis at the U.S. Southern border with a surge in arriving migrants by unauthorized U.S. southern border crossings. A major backlog in processing deportation adds to the problem. The border wall should be completed, deportation should be done to illegal immigrants without delay.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Educated, working class and business investors should be allowed to immigrate to U.S. with a valid work visa and permission to stay. Criminal background check should be done at the level of the Embassy before issuing visa, drug and vaccine status should be checked.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child instead of the bureaucracy, through a program which allows parents the freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

Congress is mostly Christian, most voters feel it is somewhat important for a lawmaker to be religious and have strong religious beliefs. Government policies should support religious values.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

No one should be discriminated against on the basis of their gender.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Agree

I agree that racism is not merely individual bias or prejudice but present in Government policies and rules.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Humanity, honesty, service, hard work,

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Disagree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Agree

Since the foundation of the country, people have fought for the right to vote and about 25 million do not have Government issued photo ID. Millions of voters are prevented from using their voice at the polls because of voter ID laws. This includes citizens over 65 years of age who do not drive, or live in poor, remote areas. Voting is not equally distributed and many are unable to have their voice heard just because of ID, while in person fake voting is rare.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I will propose laws to help people obtain ID. I would contact resources to provide funding and infrastructure to help get IDs in the community.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a serious threat to public health and racism has a profound impact on communities of color and contributes to disproportionate mortality rate among the people of color. To preserve democracy and security in our country, we need to address the issues of racism. Inattention to matters of race diminish the country's reputation as well as our ability to lead. In response to Covid-19 Pandemic, thousands of inmates were released from jails and prisons around the country, one question remains, why were they incarcerated in the first place? Why mass incarceration of drug offenses is favored for people of color who are suffering from opioid addiction.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Agree

If we want to close the racial wealth gap and protect "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" federal reparation package should be given to the Black Americans to build wealth and eliminate debt among these citizens. This can be in the form of individual payments, student loan debt forgiveness or paying for their college. Down payments and housing grants should also be given. In the predominantly black neighborhoods, Business grants can be given.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. The people may stay healthier and live longer. Certain industries that rely on clean air and water such as farming, fishing and tourism may benefit. Property values may be higher. Gains to tourism and fishing can be assessed in economic terms but value of clean air to an asthma patient can not have a monetary value.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources but with rigorous safety regulations, otherwise it can poison groundwater, pollute surface water, impair landscapes and threaten wildlife. so it is to be done with rigorous safety measures.

Address challenges by Covid-19. 7.Reform Kentucky's criminal justice system 8. Tax Reforms 9. Oppose Discriminatory Legislation

Strongly Disagree
