RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Under no circumstances other than the life of the mother, which is currently in Kentucky law.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

I co-sponsored HB 236 in the 2023 session, which some considered the strongest ESG bill in the nation at the time.

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I am a strong advocate of free markets, so that would mean the market should control. Therefore, I do not support the philosophy of setting a minimum wage.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Never. I have filed a medical freedom bill, House Bill 48, AN ACT relating to the right to refuse medical treatment.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

In practicality, I agree with C. Theoretically and economically, I would agree with D, as the system is not functioning as it should, and everything is so overpriced and dysfunctional. A mistake was made years ago by providing coverage via employers. It has made costs of coverage and treatment soar.


NATIONAL SECURITY

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

It is very important, and we should continue to support and ally with them. However, in principle generally, I am not supportive to sending money to other nations, as we are a debtor nation. We shouldn't borrow from China to pay for foreign wars. Taxpayer dollars should remain here.


IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

EDUCATION

I support a constitutional amendment that would allow Kentucky’s General Assembly to set up a school choice program to allow dollars to follow children to the school of their choice.

I am a strong believer in the second Amendment, so according to that, there are no restrictions.

Faculty who are licensed to carry and have had ongoing training should be allowed to carry guns at school in order to respond to an active shooter situation.
