RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Abortion is a settled law in Nevada. A referendum of the people passed it, which means neither the Governor nor the legislature can overturn it. Only the people of Nevada can change it. Like 71% of Americans, the people of Nevada think there should be limits on abortion. In Nevada, those limits are 24 weeks and then the life and health of the mother. Dina Titus ignored the will of the people when she voted for a federal law to allow abortion up until the day of delivery.
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
Rape, incest, or the life and health of the mother. In Nevada, abortion is a settled law. The people have spoken and have placed limits on abortion. Neither the governor nor the legislature can change it. I will not do anything to overturn the will of the people. On the other hand, Dina Titus has already voted to overturn the will of the people by removing all limits and forcing taxpayers to fund abortions. The people reject her extreme view of abortion up to the moment of birth.
Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?
No. The U.S. Constitution is silent on the topic of abortion, which means the States and "we the people" have the sole authority to settle the issue. I will support and defend the Constitution by rejecting any encroachment on the rights of the people.
ECONOMY
What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?
Reduce the size and reach of the federal government so that it stops consuming so much of our nation's wealth. Unleash our energy sector to bring down the cost of oil and gas, reduce inflation, and allow Americans to keep more of THEIR money.
Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

How perverse and obscene to force hardworking Americans who never went to college to pay the debts of others who did. This is a blatant and unconstitutional attempt to buy votes. By ignoring the ruling of the Supreme Court, Biden is violating his oath to support and defend the constitution. This act alone should be sufficient to remove him from office.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
The ESG movement is another leftist attempt at controlling people. The government should never be involved in picking winners and losers in our free-market economy. Government spending decisions should be based on the lowest cost and best value for our country.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
The government should not establish a religion and should not interfere with the people's right to freely exercise their religion.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Forcing American citizens to use their businesses (i.e., their property) in a way that is contrary to their religious beliefs violates the First, Fourth, Fifth, Eighth, and Ninth Amendments of the Constitution. Americans should have the freedom to live according to the dictates of their conscience.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
The government's role should be to provide clear, accurate, and unbiased information about vaccines and then allow people to make their own decisions for themselves and their families. The military and public schools can require well-proven vaccines
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
Medicare and Medicaid should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. Billions of Medicaid dollars are stolen yearly due to waste, fraud, and abuse. We should have thorough ongoing monitoring of who is on Medicaid and prosecute abusers. Neither Medicaid nor any free healthcare should be given to people who illegally entered our country. We need to protect and strengthen Medicare to ensure it is available to seniors who have spent a lifetime contributing to it.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C. The United States is carrying too much of the burden of protecting freedom worldwide. NATO countries must meet their obligations or lose the promise that America will rescue them. We need to strengthen our military and only be involved in conflicts where we have a direct national interest. Speaking of strengthening our military, we need to eliminate DEI and other "woke" philosophies that are reducing our war-fighting readiness.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

This is no secret; the CCP has declared to the world that they intend to replace the United States as the greatest military and economic power. We must act immediately to stop them through sanctions and increased presence in the Indo-Pacific area.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes! Israel is our strongest ally and the only democracy in the Middle East. We are connected in religion, culture, and politics. We share the same goals of peace through strength. We have a moral obligation to support Israel. It is in our self-interest to maintain a strong relationship with Israel.
What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?
The spread of woke philosophies of diversity, equity, and inclusion has a detrimental effect on recruiting and retaining quality military members. The Biden administration's attempt to reduce the military budget has created uncertainty throughout the ranks.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

We must stop the flow of guns, gangs, and drugs across our borders. We should use physical barriers (like walls and fences), electronic monitoring, and human intervention to secure the border. We need to provide the resources to allow our brave border patrol agents to do their job. We must quickly remove people who are in our country illegally.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Only those whom we have invited to enter our country. These should be people who have the skills we need, speak English, can immediately contribute to our economy, and will not be a burden to taxpayers.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Nevada public schools are failing our children. We consistently rank near the bottom in math, science, and reading. I have taught in public, private, and chartered schools. Competition among and between these schools will raise the performance of all. Education dollars should follow the child, and parents should have the option to choose the best school for their child.
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

According to the U.S. Constitution, the Federal government should not have ANY role in education. Education decisions should be made by people as close to children as possible, preferably their parents, not by bureaucrats in D.C. I support eliminating the US Department of Education and then block granting the $86 billion they spend back to States in the form of vouchers that parents can use to choose the best school for their children. This is essential to the future of our country.

I am a Christian -- a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I believe in God, the Eternal Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. I believe everyone on earth is a child of a loving God. I accept Christ's teaching that the two greatest commandments are to love God and others. I claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of my own conscience and allow all men the same privilege. I believe all religions that teach morals, selfless service, and love are doing a great service to mankind. I believe that climate change has been happening to our planet for thousands of years. Humans have an obligation to be good stewards of the earth. We should not let the government take away our freedoms in the name of climate change. The government must stop printing, borrowing, and spending money we don't have in the name of climate change.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Oil and gas are currently the most reliable energy sources. I support an "all of the above" approach to energy. I believe the free market, not government bureaucrats, should decide the appropriate mix of energy.

Very Conservative
Very conservative, but not extreme. Our nation's founders created a system of checks and balances that require compromise. Indeed, our very nation was born from compromise. That being said, I will fight for conservative causes such as smaller government, securing the border, balancing the budget, parental rights, protecting children and seniors, 2nd Amendment, religious freedom, and a strong military.
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
I can't say it any better than the preamble to the constitution: "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity."

We should take guns from criminals while defending the right of law-abiding citizens to bear arms. There should be severe punishment for anyone who uses a gun in the commission of a crime.
