QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I think the federal government should not be as involved with our lives as they are today. I believe in smaller government and if there is to be any funding for this why could it not come from individuals concerned with this and that are in agreement with abortion or with church groups who may not favor this except in extreme cases of criminal causes of pregnancy such as rape or incest. So the question of not receiving funds from various government levels, yes I agree with that.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Agree

The key word is legal so wherever there is a current law that legalizes an activity related to assisted suicide and euthanasia I will support that. If i decide that I do not or later will not support this then a new law has to be presented and passed into law. Those that need this include but not limited to those facing a terminal and likely painful demise and should be allowed to die in dignity. Again I support the law and any law for that matter. We are a nation of laws.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I tend to say I am pro life but when I make some exceptions to support our current laws I am reminded that this makes me pro choice. So the women can make a choice to let the baby be born and keep the child or make the choice for adoption, or make the choice for abortion. So just because a person is pro choice does not automatically make them pro death. There are many choices available and many organizations can come to the aid of those in need to remove the financial and clinical and ethical decisions they may face. I don't believe in abortion being used as a method of birth control and I think 3rd trimester abortion should be avoided if at all possible and requires a medical doctor determination that the mother or the child would suffer or die anyway.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

Redistribution of income is the surest way to kill the incentive of Americans to be innovated and prosperous. Recall the things that have made America the land of opportunity and given us and the world an economic superior nation that is the beacon for all that want or need help in a time of need. We are a prosperous nation always willing to help when asked. Every citizen should have a measure or productive capacity to contribute to our individual and national sucess.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

We should cut spending and we should also insure that we improved those programs that are needed to be as efficient as possible. I believe in smaller government and many programs could or should be scrutinized for reduction and scope or eliminated all together.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

The current tax code is very complex and large. I would propose a tax code that makes it impossible to cheat. In fact if you look at the duties of thousands of people and processes in the IRS alone that are geared towards catching the tax cheat we could save money by simply making the code simple and straight forward removing loop holes and deductions. In a perfect would the tax code would be a single sheet of paper one sided and double spaced providing a simple formula for all (maybe some scaled/tiered) tax payments.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Our nation allows for religious freedoms and is historically one of the reasons our nation was founded. Separation of Church and State is necessary to allow assembly for worship or non worship as one sees fit.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

The key word is individuals and business. No individual or business (especially if privately owned) should have their religious or moral beliefs violated by others that wish to use their differences or preferences on others in a way to coerce or shame them into a situation that makes them appease their ideals or beliefs.

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

There should be a separation of Church and State that allows both to function with maximum freedoms.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

All medical choices should be on the side of freedom and personal choice. In the case of minors the parents are in charge not the government.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Remember nowhere is healthcare mentioned in the constitution. If we want to make an amendment there are procedures for that, At this time i am in favor of Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. I choose this rather than The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. The reason is we must be in control of any decision and not be force to aid a country that is not aligned with our national interest.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

I am pro Israel and would do nothing to harm the security and defense of Israel. I am not Jewish but have tremendous understanding of why Israel exist and know the threats to them. Arab-Palestinian relations with isreal are controversial at best. Keep Israel strong and safe about all else.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Many under-informed citizens do not recognize that we are already at war (metaphorically speaking) with China. Keep in mind its not the ordinary Chinese citizen that we are at odds with. It's the few at the top the CCP that are responsible for human rights violations of their citizens. They goal is for China to divide the United States and become the world super power. They have already achieved and upper hand in cyber security and we are lagging behind in this important area.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

This fits into my overall plan to maintain our economic and military dominance. Not only do we keep the upper hand at the bigger threats like China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. We will defeat all treats that are bent on the destruction of America. We should always be prepared to take the fight to the enemy if needed. We have global reach and I am sorry that my opponents are weak on this matter. I will be the strong voice in the U.S. Senate that Nevada and the nation can be proud of.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Yes of course. We are a nation of laws and nations have borders. We should always support the laws of our nation and protect the citizens of the United States against all that could bring harm. Now I know little babies and their families are not always thought to be harmful in the normal sense that people think of enemies. However if too many people invade the country and make it difficult or impossible to control the rate and legal immigration that our county is founded on this become a problem

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Once a location / region or city / state makes the decision to violate the laws of this great nation they no longer reap the benefits of our national wealth. So let the sanctuary city fend for themselves raise their own taxes and see how long the citizens of that city will tolerate it.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Any person who is not determined to be an enemy of the United States and intends and demonstrates the willingness and ability to contribute this nation should be allowed to apply for citizenship in only a legally prescribe manner. Certain exceptions for the young or elderly or disabled should be considered if they are part of a family trying to legally become citizens.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

I agree that no person should be discriminated against. We as Americans should believe and recognize all people as equal under the law to pursue their life goals without regard to individuals or corporate whims. That being said the opposite is also true if someone approaches me I have a right to not engage with anyone that I am not morally or ethically aligned with if that is how I feel and how I want to address the situation.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Disagree

First CRT is an issue exposed by far right extremism to replace the lack of policies and issues that could be discussed otherwise. It's a wedge issue that is not real and only discussed to put daylight between two sides of society. Using it in the context for elementary education (or any public education) is disingenuous at best. History will eventually be on my side of this.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I grew up with parents that were somewhat spiritual. My father was Lutheran and my mother was Methodist. I was raised in the Methodist church and was dressed up every Sunday to attend church. I do believe in God and know we did not just show up here. I am not very active in the church in my adult life but understand religion and will protect religion of all forms of abuse and discrimination. We have rights in America and the right to express and worship.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

The law currently in Nevada allows a vote without an ID. That is the law and i will support an uphold the law. If we don't like something then we need to change that law. I personally do not have an issue with a voter having to show an ID if we can make that law. We show ID for far lesser meaningful things in everyday life. I know of nobody that would be effected adversely for being requested to show an ID for any reason much less for voting.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I think showing and ID would be a place to start. I also don't agree with any laws that don't allow us to know the outcome of an election on election night. We must consider fixing that.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations for something that someone did or did not do who might not even be alive today??? Paid by who, taxpayers who had nothing to do with what ever the claimant is attesting? No way! Go pound sand.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes it is to the extent that we let it become an issue to divide us rather than unite us. If we are a divided nation then yes it weakens our moral and social fabric. We need to do all that we can to recognize and act in a manner that demonstrates our understanding that all of us are more alike than we are different.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

I agree with our nation doing all that it can to remain energy independent. We must also do so in a responsible and sound way to protect our environment not only for now but for future generations. We know we have technology for greener energy and we know that those technologies can and do provide economic benefits.

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. If stricter environmental laws promote the adoption of greener technology then as I said prior high pays jobs and a better environment can be the fruit of keeping an open and exploratory mind on the subject.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Lean Conservative

I have had a few more trips around the sun than my main opponents. That is not to say that with age come wisdom, but in my case with a life of many successes and achievements "the proof is in the pudding' I am able to take in the full context of any situation and analyze it and distill it down to the basics.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

The simple fact is this this primary should not become a popularity contest, but a natural selection of that one person who has the best chance to win in the General Election. I feel that I am that person. I’ve been told that our incumbent Senator would likely want to have a hand in who her opponent is and she would choose the two weaker candidates who have raised more money yet remain the less experienced candidate that she feels would be easier to defeat. Surrogates (likely Republican Shills) are helping the campaigns with volunteering or money to ensure she does not have to be in the General Election with me. Neither of the two leading candidates will debate me because I would likely clean their clocks on stage. I sound like, look like and am like the elder statesman that Nevada needs in the Senate. A strong voice that will stand up and defend positions and not be a yes man to every whim of whoever is the Senate Majority Leader. Nevada and America deserve better. You will find that I am the best choice in this race for the U.S Senate (R) NV. I am not doing this for any other reason than I feel that this country has gone off tract and I have the upbringing, integrity, education, training, and life experience to bring real change for the good of Nevada and America. We must bring back civility and decorum in all aspects of our daily lives. I am not doing this because I need a job, I have a good one. I am not doing this because I feel the need to use my ancestors name for leverage. We have a choice to make and if you want to get the same ole same ole then keep putting in political career-oriented people that think you must vote them in regardless of their appearance to be sided with corporate America and special interest. If you want someone who plays the victim card and pretends that they have never ran for political office before only to get caught in a speech by a savvy questioner (on tape). Or worse yet they violate military valor to get your sympathy vote and fleece Americans for donations with a conspired plan to claim a false and fraudulent 1st amendment violation. I am the honest choice to help save America and return us to greatness. I will ensure that America gains it rightful place to be dominant both economically and militarily and be that beacon of trust and respect around the world.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Disagree

Policing is not about having absolute control over anyone or everyone. Policing must have some leeway however the officer can always walk away from questionable situations and / or call for superiors unless there is immediate loss of life at risk. ITs not like the military where orders are carried out. So a police oficer should be held accountable for their actions. No department is going to tell their staff they must violate a law.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

No we do not defund the police and we do not take equipment and resources aways from the police to fund mental health and community programs. There are other resources for that. Being former law enforcement myself I would expect maximum resources and equipment to complete my duties. I support the blue.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I am very pro 2nd Amendment. Being former military and former law enforcement that would be any easy assumption. I learned to shoot a rifle under adult supervision at the age of 7 and have enjoyed shooting ever since. The 2nd amendment shall not be infringed.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

People kill people not the tools. We must have gun ownership, so putting gun manufacturing and dealers at risk is to put the 2nd Amendment at risk. Its time to make sure that those who desire to carry and bear arms for any peaceful purpose are allow to do so.
