QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I voted for and co-sponsored SB 33 in the 89th session which prohibits taxpayer funds from being used for any abortion-related activities including travel, food, or lodging for those traveling out of state to have an abortion. Being pro-life also means taking care of moms and baby Texans. I passed an amendment to the budget to increase funding for pro-life clinics who provide free diapers, clothes, ultrasounds, parenting classes and other resources to pregnant women in need.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

None.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

I voted for and co-sponsored HB 3162 in the 88th legislative session which gives patients and families more time, notice, and protections when hospitals want to stop life-sustaining treatment, making it harder for doctors or ethics committees to override families wishes without due process. I also filed and passed SCR 19 in the 89th legislative session to establish the Texas Life Monument, a permanent monument on the grounds of the Texas Capitol of a mother with a child in her womb.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Strongly Agree

I voted for and co-sponsored the Woman and Child Protection Act, House Bill 7 in the second special session of the 89th legislature in 2025, which supports the Comstock Act by banning anyone from manufacturing or distributing an abortion-inducing drug in Texas or mailing, transporting, delivering, prescribing, or providing an abortion-inducing drug in any manner to or from any person or location in Texas. It also allows private citizens to sue anyone who violates the law.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

A minimum wage above what the free market dictates harms businesses and, in turn, workers.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

I filed and voted for legislation to make it easier for landowners to remove squatters. I have also passed legislation to remove government regulations, allowing business owners to operate more freely and nimbly. I have also received a 100% rating from the National Federation of Independent Businesses for my voting record supporting small businesses. Furthermore, I voted for and co-sponsored legislation to increase the business personal property tax exemption from $2,500 to $125,000.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

I voted for SB 14 in the 89th session which set up Texas’ own Department of Government Efficiency. I voted for SB 1851 which promotes transparency in local government by requiring certain actions such as financial audits and public posting of budgets online. I also filed and passed HB 4903, requiring childcare-regulating agencies to remove unnecessary and redundant regulation. I will always vote for more transparency for taxpayers and for any measure that will eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Congress may not establish a religion or prohibit the free exercise of it. It’s actually meant to protect the church from government. Simply put, government cannot establish a national religion or interfere with one’s prayer or exercise of religion, including on government property. I voted for SB 10 in the 89th session, which requires the Ten Commandments be displayed in every school classroom. I also voted for SB 11, which allows for dedicated time for prayer and reading the Bible in schools.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

I voted for and co-sponsored Senate Bill 17 in the 89th session which bans hostile foreign nations like China, Iran, North Korea, and Russia from buying Texas land.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, Israel is our ally. I voted for HR 10 in the 88th session, which condemned Hamas’ attack on Israel, recognized Israel’s right to defend itself, and called upon the US to provide all assistance as may be required to support Israel in its defense against Hamas and all other terrorist organizations. I also voted for and co-sponsored HCR 9 in the 89th session which expressed support for a Texas Trade and Investment Office in Jerusalem, the eternal, undivided capital of the State of Israel.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

I voted for SB 8 in the 89th session which requires local law enforcement to participate in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement 287g program. The program provides local law enforcement with training and the authority to verify the immigration status of individuals they book. If someone is found to be in the country illegally during the booking process, the program allows the agency to issue a federal immigration detainer, holding the individual for up to 48 hours until ICE can take custody.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

I voted for SB 12 in the 89th session which establishes the Parent’s Bill of Rights to ensure that parents have control over their children’s health and educational well-being. SB 12 requires opt-in consent from parents for health/counseling services in school, requires hiring and training in schools be based on merit alone, removes gender and sexuality instruction, mandates parents be given access to curriculum and other records and also mandates parental consent for certain school clubs.

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

I voted for and co-sponsored Senate Bill 14 in the 88th session, which banned gender transition surgeries for minors. I also voted for Senate Bill 1257 in the 89th session which requires insurance companies who cover gender transition surgeries to also cover de-transitioning surgeries.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. He offers everlasting life to everyone who believes in Him. I am a life-long conservative Republican who believes in limited government, free enterprise capitalism, and rugged individualism.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

I voted for the Save Women’s Sports Act, Senate Bill 15 in the 88th session in 2023 which banned men from playing in women’s sports and I also voted for the Texas Women’s Privacy Act, Senate Bill 8 in the second special of the 89th legislature, which bans men from women’s private spaces. I also voted for and co-authored HB 229 in the 89th session, which clearly defines what a woman is in Texas law.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Natural gas, nuclear, and coal. I voted for SB 2627 which established the Texas Energy Fund with $5 billion for low-interest loans for reliable energy projects and for HB 14 which established the Texas Advanced Nuclear Energy Office.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

Public safety and maintaining law and order.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Strongly Agree

I voted for and co-sponsored HB 18 in the 88th session which requires social media companies, websites with user interactions, and apps to keep harmful content away from children, protect sensitive information about children, and facilitate parental control over content and data. I also voted for SB 2420 in the 89th session which requires app platforms to verify that minors do not have access to certain apps and also requires parents be given more control over what apps their children download.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

I voted for House Bill 4211 in the 89th session, which bans “Sharia compounds” like the proposed Epic City development in Texas.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. I voted for and co-sponsored Senate Bill 1362 from the 89th session in 2025 which prohibits Texas from adopting or enforcing extreme risk protective orders, which violate due process, otherwise known as “red flag laws.” SB 1362 also blocks federal funding for such programs.
