I am 100% pro-life, the only situation where it should be conidered is if the life of the mother is in danger.

Changes should be made to lower taxes and or reduce the burden on taxpayers, especially citizens and small businesses.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would ask each state agency to identify regulations that may be eliminated that will streamline services and save state resources. Last session, I had the priveleged to work on a piece of legislation (SB 1138) that calls for an audit of safety net programs as well as suggestions for streamlining those programs. The bill passed and those suggestions should be available before the next session. I would definitely take these into consideration and try to implement them if elected.

I think Americans should be free to choose whether or not they should take any vaccination. I also think that any vaccine requirement should also include an exemption for reasons of conscience, including religious reasons, and medical reasons.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Secure the border. I am the only candidate in my race that went down to the border to see for myself how bad things are. Right now we know that terrorists are coming in through our border because we’ve caught some of them. I was told that there were days last summer that Border Patrol had no agents in the field because they were overwhelmed with processing immigrants. There is no way to know how many have gotten through without detection.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Immigrants formed the United States and immigration is one of the reasons why the United States is the superpower that it is. One of my ancestors, William Harris, immigrated to America and helped to settle Rhode Island as well as found the first Baptist Church in America. As long as no threat is perceived, anyone that is willing to work and is interested in becoming an American should be given a chance as long as they go through the legal citizenship process.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I would propose laws to ensure that it is easy to vote but hard to cheat, including making sure that the highest penalties are given to those who are found cheating. I had the privilege of working on the Election Integrity bill that passed during the last legislative session and I will continue to fight to ensure we have safe and secure elections.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I think that the response to the idea that systemic racism exists in the United States is more of a threat to domestic security than racism itself as evidenced by including the incredibly devastating riots that took place last summer. We need to ensure that we are fostering a society that condemns racism in all forms but also teaches that every human holds intrinsic value regardless of any external factors, especially those they have no control over such as their race or gender. Furthermore, we also need to ensure that we are teaching that every American is born with access to opportunity, regardless of their race.

My legislative priorities are to support the police, secure the border, lower property taxes, and make sure that parents have a voice when it comes to their children’s education. I am a native Texan, I grew up in Round Rock, I am one of eleven children, a pastor's daughter, the great-great-granddaughter of immigrants, the granddaughter of two Air Force veterans, a Col, and Lt. Col, and an aunt to thirteen nieces and nephews. My faith and family come before everything else and I love Texas and America. Serving Texans in the legislature has been one of my greatest privileges.
