OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only if the life of the mother is at stake.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Simply put, if we do not reform our entitlement programs, they will no longer exist. Social Security faces serious structural problems that threaten its solvency in the very near future. The program has grown far larger than the original intent and the cost to maintain it is set to skyrocket as life expectancy increases. It has maintained popularity over the years because recipients have received far more than they put in. It’s been a great deal. But today the cost to maintain these programs must increase, making that deal a little less great for future generations. The current payroll tax of 12.4 percent for Social Security is estimated to increase to more than 16 percent by 2035 in order to keep the program solvent. It is time to start the conversation about reforming our entitlement programs if we want to have them for future generations. I also believe there is legitimacy in discussing different options for workers who want to save on their own.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

In addition to growing the economy, we must implement a a cut, cap, and balance strategy and implement a spending control mechanism that includes restrictions on the growth of both mandatory and discretionary spending, avoids reliance on tax increases, and stabilize our nation’s debt. Additionally, we must closely examine the budgets of all of our federal bureaucracies and cut the waste. We must also give more policy making decisions back to the states and reduce the size of fed bureaucracies

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

We cannot go down the path of paying for everyone's student loans. It is a conscience decision to go to college and to take out a student loan to pay for it. Instead of paying off student loans, we should look forward and consider programs that produce in demand skills for in demand jobs.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state is meant to keep the government out of the business of our religious organizations. The government should never force or coerce religious organizations to do take up its agenda. Separation of church and state does not mean that our religious organizations cannot have a political voice. I believe, like President Trump, that the Johnson Amendment is wrong and unfairly muzzles our religious leaders.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I support health care policies that give individuals and business more affordable options with less government control. First, we must eliminate Obamacare once and for all. I agree with the policies that President Trump put in place, from expanding association plans so that small businesses and self employed Americans can group together to negotiate better prices, to allowing employers to contribute more tax-free money to health reimbursement arrangements so that employees can purchase health insurance based on their needs and take it with them if they change jobs. I also agree with extending short term plans so that young, healthy adults can attain cheaper health coverage. I also would support catastrophic plans. Additionally I believe we must allow the purchasing of health care across state lines. Restricting competition and choice is wrong. By opening up the market across state lines, health care providers will compete for new business, meaning lower costs for American consumers.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We must get back to the strategies utilized under the Trump Administration that were able to successfully eliminate the ISIS caliphate and keep other terrorist organizations at bay. We must also fully support our allies in Israel.

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Did not answer

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We should prioritize bringing the best and brightest minds from around the world to the U.S. We are also the leaders of the world and should take in people who are truly fleeing hostile governments and natural disasters.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality that is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a practicing Catholic. I plan to enroll my youngest son in Catholic schools.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am endorsed by President Trump in this race and will fight for our workers and communities the same way he did. As the next Congressman from OH-15, I will fight like hell to make sure our communities are not left behind. I know that America first policies – lowering taxes, cutting red tape, demanding fair trade deals, and investing in our military and first responders – work and led to the greatest economy of our lifetimes. I’ll stop reckless Democrat spending that is causing rapid inflation and only support spending bills that are both responsible and transparent. I’ll hold the Democrats accountable for the humanitarian crisis at our southern border and fight to finish the wall! Above all, I believe that our Constitution IS absolute and will always defend it.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

No further restrictions on gun ownership are needed.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Balanced Budget Amendment Tax cuts for small businesses families and seniors Election integrity

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism certainly exists in America and should be fully condemned whenever it is encountered. Unfortunately, race continues to be used as a weapon by the Democrat party to the detriment of society. I agree with Senator Tim Scott that America is not a racist country. We have a painful past, but we have come too far to allow a loud, violent minority of people to divide us based on race. Racism is not the threat to domestic security, it is the use of race as a political wedge that is the true threat.
