QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Under no circumstances: life begins at conception. The unborn deserve equal protection under the law from the point of conception.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

The use of federal tax dollars to fund abortions against the public will of Texans justifies virtually any action by the states to put an end to this practice

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Property tax is nothing less than renting your property from the government. If you don’t pay your property tax, then the state can take your land, so therefore you really don’t truly own it in the first place. Property taxes represent a disincentive to property ownership, and force citizens into commerce. Property taxes in Texas must be abolished and replaced with a consumption tax.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

First and foremost, we must recognize that Texans are paying tens of billions per year because of a largely open border policy that is in every way facilitated by the federal government. As well, both the state and federal government are involved in schemes that extend medical, free college, and even living expenses to those who enter Texas illegally. These incentives must stop, and our border must be secured. As well, Texans are paying for subsidies and tax-breaks to unreliable wind and solar electric generators, even after a near-complete collapse of the electric grid: 50% of the shortfall of electricty during snowmageddon was in fact missing supply from wind generation farms.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Forcing individuals into commerce is a form of slavery.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Under no circumstances can government close churches. Our right to worship freely is a natural right that comes from God, and this right cannot be bargained away or usurped by any entity. Our Texas Bill of Rights protects this right (Article 1, Sec 6), as does the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C but as a society we need to moved to D. We should live up to the promises made to our Seniors, and those close to retirement age, and find a way to phase out the system to allow people to have better coverage which they completely control: government has proven to be terrible provider of any service, and healthcare is not a proper function of government.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Under no circumstances. I support an amendment to the Texas Constitution recognizing the unalienable natural right of the people to refuse vaccination. Because this right is unalienable, it cannot be bargained away, and therefore vaccination shall not be made a condition of employment, travel, attending educational institutions, doing business, receiving governmental services, or any other action.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

First the United States should immediately stop sending hard-earned tax revenue as foreign aid to countries that do not share America's values (although I support ending foreign aid entirely). Second, the United States should decisively win wars--this would be the single largest deterrent to the threat of terrorism; conversely, surrendering to the Taliban after a protected multi-decade conflict has done nothing but embolden the enemy.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Since the entrance of Texas into the Union in 1845, the federal government has consistently failed to protect the border of Texas. Most recently, the United States has in every way facilitated the invasion of Texas by citizens of foreign nations. The border of Texas was bought by the blood of Texian patriots and it is ultimately the responsibility of Texas to ensure that the border is secured. Texas must achieve autonomy over our own borders.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

For those who we determine have the skills America needs, we should make legal immigration easier and more streamlined. Conversely, the incessant flow of illegals must be stopped immediately by securing our borders. State and federal governments must stop providing incentives to illegals, and the residency status of all workers must be ensured as a condition of employment.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

Actually it was God that established a framework of morality that is captured in the Bible and characterized as "Judeo-Christian values." Regardless, these values are absolutely essential. As John Adams stated, "our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Genesis 5:2 states that "Male and female he created them." There are but two biological genders.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is fundamentally racist as it seeks to divide us on the basis of race, views history as an epic struggle between the oppressed and oppressors, and suggests that it is the responsibility of the government to equalize outcome.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a conservative Christian. Heaven and earth were created by God in six days and men were made in His image. God is quintessentially just, and being that we are each born into a sin in a fallen world, the only way that we can reconcile ourselves with the Father is by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. I believe that the scriptures in their original form represent the inerrant Word of God and represents the authority for how we should live.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Allowing non-citizens to vote will just as surely disenfranchise actual voters as any other subversive tactic that has been employed since the founding of America.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

As a Software Engineer, I can absolutely attest that there is no such thing as a secure computer. There is no effective and deterministic way to forensically determine how a computer was hacked or, more importantly, what the exact state of the computer was before it was hacked. As well, neither the State of Texas nor counties/municipalities employs the hoards of cyber-security experts necessary to forensically examine electronic voter machines. Given this, it is imperative that we move back to paper ballots that can be effectively recounted and protected given the appropriate resources.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Our country is, as we speak, stoking of the fires of racism by indoctrinating our children with cultural marxism via Critical Race Theory/Social Emotional Learning, our military "extremism" training, and and employees via "woke" ethics training in nearly every corporation in America. The greatest risk to America is a society that believes it is the government's responsibility to equalize the outcomes of each citizen.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Taking property from folks on the basis of race and given to descendants of those long dead on the basis of race, for harm done by no-one who is currently alive...IS the most racist thing that has been postulated in my lifetime.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

I strongly support the right of Texans to fully exploit its natural resources for the benefit of its people, and reject the authority of the federal government to micromanage and impede industry in Texas. Granting permits for drilling within the sovereign state of Texas not a proper function of the federal government.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The singular function of government is to protect the liberties of the people.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I am a "Jeffersonian conservative." I believe in local self government, that states and communities should be as self-sufficient as possible, and I believe in a central government of very few and enumerated powers. The current relationship between Texas and the federal government is completely devoid of any semblance of constitutional adherence. Our American founding fathers, or our Texas ancestors who agreed to enter the union in 1845 would be appalled by the current situation.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am a ‘Texas First’ conservative Republican who believes the words of the Texas Constitution that ‘all political power is inherent in the people, and that all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit.’ And yet, Texas is on the ropes: our home is in the midst of an invasion perpetrated by the federal government. At the same time, millions are facing job loss due to unconstitutional medical mandates forced by an administration which has used every opportunity to push an openly communist agenda. Our right of local self-government is critically impaired by Washington, D.C., and our 87th Texas Legislature has squandered its opportunity to take control of our border, and to protect the rights and liberties of Texans in their hour of need. Texans should decide what is best for Texas, and we desperately need legislators who will defend and preserve our way of life for future generations.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Neutral

Qualified immunity does not, according to my understanding, affect criminal prosecution but is pertinent to civil cases only. At this point I think that an attack on qualified immunity is seen as an attack on law enforcement at a time in history when we conservatives need to stand behind law enforcement.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. A well-armed society is a polite society. An armed populace is the ultimate check on a despotic government.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
