RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I believe life begins at conception and no one should choose abortion. No tax dollars should go toward subsidizing the cost of abortion services nor should tax dollars be used to develop pharmaceutical abortion, aka morning after pill/ emergency contraception.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
I believe in the right to death as much as the right to life. Physician assisted suicide or euthanasia should be well documented and permissible. Terminally ill should be allowed to choose an honorable and humane death provided they are not being manipulated to benefit any second or third party.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe in States Rights to decide these circumstances. Federal Government should not dictate this to the States. Each State must make their own decisions on how they stand and legislate accordingly.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
Socialism will only breed more disparity. Instead, we need to focus on Government spending less and taking less. Redistribution of Wealth is real, it just happens at a higher level in the form of Corporate subsidies and bailouts. This Corporate welfare has got to stop.
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
The Federal Government should cut 80% of spending across the board and we need to repeal the outside influence of the Federal Reserve by repealing the Federal Reserve Act (ratified 1913). We must pay off this debt to stop inflation and restore the value of the US Dollar. The US Dollar is the primary obstacle standing in the way of a globalist controlled singular currency. It is in the US Governments best interest to restore and protect the value of the US Dollar.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
No more property taxation after the age of 65 and no continued taxation on those that inherit that same land. If sold, tax the sale, tax the new owner until age 65. This would be a precursor to eventually ending property tax. As Frederic Bastiat refers to taxation is "legal plunder". "Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place."
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Agree
We saw Government agencies overstep with unchecked power over 2020 and 2021. These agencies must be held accountable. The NIH and CDC used recommendations to infringed on the American people's first amendment right to assemble, to worship, and to report the truth. We saw churches shut down, accounts and voices silenced, and protests turned into political fodder. Our First Amendment Rights MUST be restored and protected.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Businesses have the right to refuse service to anyone and should not be forced to provide their services if against their moral and/or religious beliefs.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
States only connection to the Church should be protecting the Right to assemble and worship. Churches only concern should be the State maintaining the protection of that Right. Influence from either side on other issues should be separated.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None. Personal Freedom to choose what happens to our own body must be protected. Right to work States, like Ohio, are different. An employer should maintain the Right to mandate this but employees must maintain the Right to refuse. This means the employer or the employee can choose to terminate the employment based on more local decisions. Strong armed recommendations, policies, and monetarily incentivizing by various Government agencies should not be permitted. We must seek accountability for these 'Recommendations'.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
D) we must instead allow the private insurance market create products people want or Healthcare must switch back to private pay billing. Private pay would drive healthcare costs down as medical billing to insurance would no longer be an issue. Private pay would promote the use of Health savings plans and the sale of more long-term disability insurances.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
D) The US currently has a $780 Billion defense budget. We could lower that to $200 Billion and still have the strongest Military in the world. Our involvement in foreign conflicts only perpetuates the Military Industrial Complex. This is why the US Military is involved in so many conflicts around the globe. We occupy other nations because we have created a business to occupy other nations. This needs to stop. The cost is too high; not only to our taxpayers but to our Military personnel.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Neutral
Israel needs to stop their advancement on the Palestinian people on their own accord. Israel has continued to take over Palestinian territory and has even taken out the Palestinian library that held historic relics and writings. It is time for peace. Israel should offer citizenship and Rights to the Palestinian people. US involvement should be that of a moderator only.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
China is out-capitalizing the US by ignoring human rights violations, ignoring international patent law by stealing intellectual property, and blocks global markets from selling to their people. China is also using Government control of the banking system to offer low to no interest loans around the World. These loans have been used for infrastructure in growing nations which sounds noble enough. China has begun taking ownership on defaulting lands. This type of expansion needs stopped.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Leave and no longer occupy the Homeland of Islamic people. The US has occupied these regions for decades and are responsible attacks on both military and civilian targets. We must leave these regions and give the people time to heal. In time, the US may offer peace and trade agreements.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Neutral
The US Government needs to get their spending under control first. Building a 1,933 Mile wall is absurd. Instead, I propose we start getting rid of the Social programs that people come here to take part of. Once we restore our own freedoms and lessen the burden on our own citizens, we offer Statehood to Mexico and all Central American Nations. A 30 mile wall in Panama would be much cheaper and easier to control. This would add tax payers, workers, coastal cities, and control of the Panama canal.
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Neutral
These funds shouldn't be coming from the Federal Level in the first place. States and Cities should not put themselves in a place where they rely on Federal funds. Federal Government should not be collecting enough tax dollars that they alone control these budgets. Should a City or State have the freedom to decide to what to do with immigrants, in housing them, yes. In offering them citizenship, no. Should Federal moneys be withheld? Federal shouldn't be in charge of these funds.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Immigration needs an overhaul. The United States is at a cross road: We can continue to hyper spend, force inflation, and continue to destroy the US Dollar or... We can cut Government spending, make Freedom our top priority, encourage States Rights, and begin expanding the United States. This is where immigration comes in. Instead of Central American people coming into the US illegally, I propose we offer Statehood to Central American countries. Let the people vote. This would make all their citizens American Citizens and offer them the same Rights and opportunities they get coming across the US Southern Border. This would increase the number of tax paying citizens, increase the workforce, increase the number of coastal cities available for trade, and make our southern border much narrower. Protecting a 40 mile stretch of panama is much more practical than the current 1,933 Mile southern US border.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Discrimination law is a bit outdated and yes, discrimination happens. We should not care, legally, about your sexual orientation: unless it harms a minor. We should not care, legally, about your gender identity. Non-discrimination law does not need to view an individuals sexual orientation nor gender identity as a protected class.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Disagree
I do not believe Critical Race Theory (CRT) need to be taught in public schools. To tell a child they are racist because of the color of their skin is racist. Instead, we need to focus on children being children. Children need to grow together, ignoring race all together. Maybe when those children enter our society, they will be able to teach us to live the same.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was baptized Catholic. Around middle-school, I decided not to get confirmed into the Catholic faith and began searching other Christian denominations. As I visited my hometown Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, and non-denominational congregations, I slowly realized it was best that I remain a secular individual. Although I am not part of any one church, I believe spirituality, faith, and worship needs to be protected and is a Right of all people.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Neutral
The State of Ohio requires one. It doesn't bother me any so I agree with Photo ID. The reason I disagree is in the event you want to Vote but do not want to take part in registering for an ID. I think of the Amish Community. They do not believe in getting their picture taking. Requiring this is against their religion. Should they be permitted to vote? Absolutely. Is this used to falsify votes by other members of society? Absolutely.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Dual Authentication. Not unlike sending you a text to verify your identity when signing into a website. Or... in the even of no technology, mail an authentication code to the voter. This would need looked at a bit deeper but I think the Ohio Secretary of State has the ability to implement a plan for this. I would like to see more fair voting by switching to Rank Choice Voting (RCV). This would ensure a fair winner as opposed to first-past-the-post (FPTP). This would also open the fair opportunity for third parties and independents to be elected. The constant binary choice between Right versus Left, Republican versus Democrat, has become a slow march toward totalitarian Government. I believe office races need party affiliation removed: this includes County, State and Federal positions. We need to vote for the person, not the party.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
The idea that one is owed something for heinous acts of the past is absurd. Reparations for wrongfully accused, yes, that is perfectly acceptable. Reparations for your ancestry? No.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. Racism is a threat to your personal security. If you own a business and you are racist, you are going to lose business. If you work with someone of a different race and you are racist, you are going to lose the respect of a colleague and possibly your job. If you are a cop and you are racist, you may make a horrible split-second decision that costs someone their life and you should be prosecuted for it. These two questions don't allow us to look at the underlying issues with race in our country. Freedom and fairness is the most important thing to my values. We need to: End Qualified Immunity End Civil Asset Forfeiture End No Knock Warrants End Mandatory Minimum Sentencing End Victimless Crime End Over criminalization End the "War on Drugs" (Prohibition is over)
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
Exploration and extraction of natural gas resources was our path to energy independence. Unfortunately, the Biden administration has destroyed our energy independence. We need to encourage, NOT finance, investments back into exploration and extraction to regain this independence. Nuclear energy may be a good future source for energy, oil and natural gas is the best resource we have readily available today.
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
C) Stricter environmental laws and regulations create more red-tape for companies but also create additional agencies that may or may not help with the protection they are supposed to offer. Case and Point: Perry County Ohio is fighting a company dumping Human Waste via Bio-Solids in Ohio EPA approved pools. This dumping has been signed off at local and State levels but has the potential to contaminate local water sources and farmland. The US EPA has yet to step in to protect the people of Perry County. This is a case where a wealthy, out of state company has convinced local politicians to allow illegal dumping. Stricter laws do not always protect. I believe we need to let markets decide. As coal was being phased out, natural gas was able to pickup the production needs. We need to allow the private market dictate these outcomes. As nuclear fusion and micro fission reactors become more viable, they will pickup production left behind by natural gas. Until then, natural gas exploration and extraction MUST remain operational.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
When it comes to our Rights, we MUST restore and protect them. That is Government's primary job. We can restore the First Amendment by: Holding Government Agencies accountable for shutting down places of worship, protests, and speech platforms. We can restore our Second Amendment by: Repealing the Gun Control Act of 1968, the Federal Firearms Act, and the National Firearms, which effectively ends the ATF. On these, I am more conservative than most. While immigration and human policy - moderate.

https://www.the-daily-record.com/story/news/2022/03/07/who-running-your-congressional-district-2022-primary/9391324002/ "Going up against Balderson is against newcomer Brandon Lape of Danville. According to Lape's campaign website, he advocates for little to no firearm regulations and a scaling back of military, police and welfare spending."
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
Everything I do will be to actively and effectively shrink Federal Spending and the over-reach of Federal Government Agencies or Departments. My first few introduced Bills will Restore the Second Amendment by repealing past gun control laws and ending the ATF. The next few Bills will be to end qualified immunity, no knock warrants, mandatory minimum sentencing, and civil asset forfeiture. I want to actively work on an exit strategy for Social Security and eventually repeal the Social Security Act (1935). I want to take away the US Governments credit card by repealing the Federal Reserve Act (1913). The Federal Government would no longer utilize the outside source of the Federal Reserve Bank for fiscal policy nor financing of deficit spending, adding to the $31.4 Trillion debt ceiling. Once Freedom and the value of the US Dollar is restored, we can begin building out our nation by offering other countries and provinces statehood.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Disagree
Qualified Immunity is horrible. Being protected from prosecution because of your occupation is wrong. This protection promotes lazy departmental policy. Are we going to allow a garbage man to litter because the rest of the days he is picking up trash? No. Citizen need the ability to hold officers accountable for their actions. Officers need the ability to hold fellow officers accountable despite departmental policy.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Police department still need their funding. Some of this funding should be appropriated for mental health, psychology, and deescalation training for the officers instead of former military armored personnel vehicle (APV).
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None. "Shall not be infringed" is quite clear.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
The tool used in a violent act is NOT responsible for the violent act. Neither should the manufacturer or distributor. The violent act was carried out by the individual. Would we want to sue a hammer manufacturer if someone was going around hitting people with a hammer? No. Then why would we do it with a gun manufacturer?
