QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When the life of the mother is in jeopardy, and then it should be the decision of the parents. There are so many couples who cannot have children and would love to adopt.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Taxes should be reduced, including property tax and sales tax. Capital gains income tax should be repealed.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The state budget has doubled since 2013, increasing the size and scope of government. I would review areas of regulatory overreach, and work to reduce areas that are unconstitutional and/or duplicative, to streamline and lower the cost to businesses and taxpayers. I favor net zero budgeting or performance based budgeting, rather than adding to a baseline budget from the year prior. I would also see what areas can be privatized which could reduce spending.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None, in my opinion.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None. This should be a free choice of the individual, based on informed consent.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Securing our borders and returning to immigration requirements where individuals wishing to enter the U.S. would be vetted would help prevent those who would do us harm from entering.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Those individuals who have been fully vetted, are healthy, and able to work. Under certain circumstances, those individuals who have been vetted and are under persecution in their own country.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

This is one of my main reasons in running for election, to be a strong voice and vote for school choice.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who believes that our U.S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land and should be followed, as well as our State Constitution. I am strongly pro-life, from conception to natural death. I believe in transparency and accountability in government.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Ideally, in person voting with proper identification. There are various laws currently in place that don't help election integrity, like ballot harvesting and others. I would review and work to change laws that affect the ability for only U.S. citizens to vote, and reduce and eliminate the ability to cheat in elections.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Ours is not a country built on racism. We have always been a “melting pot” society in the United States. We are “Americans”. The only threat is the one promoted by the socialist left, which works to divide us.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Neutral

I don't know enough about this topic to answer.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

As stated in the U.S. and State Constitutions. The U.S. Constitution was formed to "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity". Article I, Section i of the Washington State Constitution says: "All political power is inherent in the people, and government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed and is established to protect and maintain individual rights."

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Articles written in the Citizen Review Online (www.citizenreviewonline.org) - search for my name as author; articles written in the VC Press, a liberal community college where I served as writer and managing editor (wrote extensively on prolife, did my term paper on prolife and an expose of Margaret Sanger, did my final in speech class on the same subject. Carried a 4.0 GPA. Articles posted on www.paxxenterprises.com. Also see my election website: electsueforde.com under issues.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Our state government has grown with the budget more than doubling in size since 2013; our current legislators refuse to rein in the governor's currently unlimited emergency powers; and with a $15 BILLION surplus, no tax relief was given to the taxpayers; instead, it was spent to grow government even larger! I am running to help change the direction of our state government, for more accountability, transparency and constitutionality. If elected, my priorities include: (1) School choice so the money can follow the child for their best education, and parents' rights are reinstated; repeal the K-12 sex 'education' and critical race theory bills that were passed, and pass bills to restore real educational basics, like reading, writing and mathematics. (2) Reduction of property tax, sales tax and other taxes, and elimination of the capital gains income tax, so taxpayers can keep more of their hard-earned money; (3) Streamlining government agencies to reduce the cost and overreach, giving people back more control over their own lives; (4) Criminals need to be held accountable for their crimes; police need to have their hands untied so they can do their jobs; and people need their 2nd Amendment rights to defend themselves.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None. Our 2nd Amendment and Article 1, Section 24 of the Washington State Constitution help to reduce crime; they should not be infringed or impaired.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
