OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

When the life of the mother is in jeopardy, and then it should be the decision of the parents. Life begins at conception and is a precious gift of God, and we need to protect that life.

ECONOMY

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Zero-base budgeting. Legislation mandating government agencies to identify expected outcomes. Unmet outcomes would end programs. Constitutional amendment for a 60% supermajority legislative approval of emergency clause spending. Restore state mandated legislative approval for all spending to end secret state union salaries/benefits negotiations making these transparent before approval. End spending for felon’s elective medical procedures, illegal immigrant programs.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

That phrase is not in the Constitution, as some would suggest. The founding fathers did not want one particular denomination to be the "church" for the United States; rather, we are free to worship as we please. Our history, as wonderfully shared by David Barton, is founded on Judeo-Christian principles.

HEALTHCARE

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

1. Deregulation and fostering of entrepreneurial innovations and competition will improve health care. Telemedicine’s diagnostic services and second opinions shows free-markets can improve medical care and lower costs 2. I would work to repeal state mandates contributing to insurance costs. 3. A state constitutional amendment to limit lawsuit damages would increase doctors and services. 4. I would work for incentives such tax breaks for private businesses lowering health care costs without sacrificing quality. I would encourage private charities and churches to assist low income people health care needs. 5. I would pursue state Medicaid management for more efficiency and better service. We could encourage users’ responsibility for health with health savings accounts and healthy lifestyles benefits. 6. I would promote access to health savings accounts (HSAs) and affordable high-deductible insurance policies, particularly needed reform for younger healthier people.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

IMMIGRATION

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigrants founded our nation. We should honor immigrant culture adding to the richness of our American culture. Immigrants served in our armed forces, have contributed to and continue to contribute to numerous scientific and medical advancements, to the arts (music and literature) and to our variety of cuisine. We would be an entirely different, less advanced, and less vibrant culture without immigrants. In my opinion, individuals who have passed a health test and can show they have a trade or can support themselves should be allowed, subject to number quotas. In certain situations, those who are under persecution, provided they agree to (a) learn English; and (b) support only the U.S. Constitution. In other words, they want to become "Americans," not a hyphenated American.

EDUCATION

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian. I believe the Bible is the Word of God, and that God created everything, including us in His own image, as per Genesis. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and died for our sins. (The Apostle’s Creed pretty much says it all.) I believe the traditional family is the nucleus of a strong society. I am strongly pro-life, from conception to natural death. I believe that prayer is essential for guidance and wisdom in all things, especially as a public servant, and do my best to be obedient and follow His will in my life.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Articles written in the Citizen Review Online (www.citizenreviewonline.org) - search for my name as author. Articles written on the Clallam Republicans website: www.clallamrepublicans.org . Articles written on my blog at www.paxxenterprises.com. Also see my election website: www.electsueforde.com for my public stance on life, family and the Constitution.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

Employed by title insurance companies, as a certified sr escrow officer & branch manager. Started, owned and operated, then sold, an escrow company, and several other businesses, including a print business, a newspaper/shopper, & a Christian bookstore. Currently own/operate a website design & consulting business. I understand what it takes to run a successful business and deal with state rules and taxes. Published writer and researcher. For the past 20+ years, I've been involved in community political activism, primarily in the property rights arena. I was elected to two terms on the Home Rule Charter Commission, second as 1st vice chair. Elected State Committeewoman to the State Republican Party, and current Clallam County Republican Party Chair. In the various positions I’ve held, I’ve listened to and acted upon the concerns of the people whom I’ve represented. I believe I will do a good job as a “citizen” representative in Olympia for our district and the state.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

For far too long, we have endured affronts on our personal liberties, including First and Second Amendment Rights, as well as spiraling taxes and regulations. As government grows, freedom diminishes. I believe it’s past time to turn back to what our Founding Fathers envisioned for our country. Our Washington State Constitution embodies that vision, as well. Individual liberty and the free enterprise system are why so many people from other countries want to live here. I will work for school choice. I will work hard to stand for these principles with my votes and the bills I sponsor or co-sponsor. Four questions I will always ask: Does this legislation decrease or increase individual freedom? Does this support or promote justice (as our Founding Fathers understood this term)? Is this constitutional? How will this help the people of my district and state, independent of government meddling, to improve their quality of life, their independence, and their happiness?

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

2nd Amendment researchers provide many examples when citizen gun owners, exercising their God-given right and 2nd Amendment Right to self-defense, have saved lives from physical assault, robbery, & murder. To improve public safety, state and federal legislators should repeal all laws restricting or punishing law-abiding citizens’ lawful firearm use. Criminals ignore such laws. I agree with U.S. & State Constitutions: Our right to self-defense with a firearm “shall not be infringed nor impaired"

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

(1) Repeal of the radical K-12 Sex Education bill in the event Referendum 90 does not pass; (2) Reduction of property and other taxes to help individuals and businesses recover from the COVID-19 shutdown. In the future, after recovery, limiting taxes will also encourage business expansion, increased services, more employment opportunities, and higher wages/salaries/employee benefits. (3) Streamlining of government agencies to reduce the cost and overreach, giving people more local control over their own lives.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Our county is the least racist county, worldwide. Little racism exists in the U.S. and only in a very small percentage of individuals. We cannot control other people’s minds and hearts. We have always been a "melting pot" society in the United States. We are "Americans." The only threats to peaceful domestic security and relationships among races and ethnic groups are the injections of very biased news stories pretending to represent facts and the constant onslaught from television news hosts presenting an unquestionably lopsided view of events and prominent conservatives. The one-sided perceptions and lies promoted by the mainstream media and the socialist left, constantly work to divide us.
