OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I advocate adoption rather than abortion

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

My father just died from infection in March at age 92. His body was too damaged to repair itself and the doctor- who had been dad's physician for many years, could only provide oxycodone for pain relief until dad passed away, literally in my arms. As hard as it was for me, I abide by the doctor's decision.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Reduce state sales tax. Halt the collection of fuel tax for one year. Stop the "excise" income tax. Reduce B&O tax

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The Governors special offices. The Fish Passage overbuilding program. The fraud, waste, and abuse across the board. I'm and experienced Inspector General. I know how to do these things.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

State education system is far too burdensome and need house cleaning, when only 60 cents of each dollar reaches the students, whom statewide achieve an average of 34% proficiency in math. Need a qualified CTE program for high school instead of what we have now, which is just a few novelty courses. Students deserve the option of qualification by age 18 to walk out of HS and into a good career in the trades.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

This is a issue where our laws need modification and definite protections provided for bakeries, flower shops, and all other services where immediate loss of life is not an issue, where other sources of same service are available. In the medical realm the issue is far more reaching and deserves deeper analyses and answers.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

You mean the facility or the church body? Only when the structure is clearly falling down or imminent danger of killing people. The church body? When it is proven to continue sexual violence, rape, etc., or other clearly illegal acts like theft of funds, etc.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C. The basic problem with your question is the same problem Cllinton and Obama promulgated. The basic issue is health care, not health insurance. The focus is wrong, and the health care system needs and resources need far more focus, from personnel to facilities, to the issue of people who refuse to try to try to provide their own resources.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

At initial entry to the military, where individuals can decide whether or not to join.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Maintain a base in Afghanistan. Oh wait, they already blew that one didn't they? We should continue to hunt down murdering extremists, and advocate more Christian missionaries, and stop sending funds to governments that support extremists. This issue is far outside the purview of a the position I am seeking.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

Your question has multiple parts, so: NO, NO, YES, YES, and Perhaps

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Yes, but this does not pertain to the position I am seeking

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

This issue is not one pertinent to the position I am seeking, but we need to stop giving such a high percentage of support to illegal immigrants when citizens have unmet needs.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

Yes. But the law changes in the past 10 years are extremely adverse to school districts and too much money, 40% does not reach student learning. To much overhead expense.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

Yes, if you are discussing only Christian modern standards. We no longer use Old Testament punishments or adhere to Mosaic laws.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

There are two sexes, and one human race.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Agree

So I personally agree with this. I am a Man married to a Woman. The recent Biden Court nominees repeatedly refused to define the word Woman. Our dictionary defines a Woman as an adult female human. Our state legalized same sex unions. I go on record saying that I support the right of all legal unions to adopt and provide loving, caring homes for the tens of thousands of abused children in foster care system. They deserve your love.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

AKA Corrupt Race Theory

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in God Almighty, creator of heaven and earth, his Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. John16:33

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Voter ID, in-person with some exceptions rather than all ballots,no forwarding of ballots, follow the state law and scrub the records as required, proof of citizen ship and address for registration, among others. Did you know about 25% of WA voters do not met the requirements for drivers licenses yet vote?

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Black Lives Matter and Antifa are racist movements and terrorist organizations, as is the Southern Poverty Law Center. There are several white racists movements, which I am against, so yes. It is a threat.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

No. Not.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

I worked in environmental sciences and natural resource management for several decades. The answer is in between, with clean water, air, and living conditions needed for all of us. But WA laws have far too many nonsensical requirements and regulations while other things are laxly enforced. Seattle area is the major source of pollution and overuses far too many natural resources, and is left unchecked by our state agencies.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

I wrote national regulations for oil and gas development. I worked in Wyoming and Colorado for years with oil and gas development. Have you? It is a valid practice which utilizes resources efficiently. It is also why we do a site specific environmental analysis for every single well to eliminate danger of adverse impacts.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Security of home and living space, workplace. Infrastructure.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Lean Conservative

Thank you for getting this down to a two word description to cover an extremely wide range of issues.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

https://www.dvidshub.net/video/267543/lt-col-brian-pruiett,https://www.porttownsendfreepress.com/2020/07/16/brian-pruiett-on-covid-taxes-sex-ed-2a-mat-inslee-and-more/

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

no, never

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I give a lot of detailed information on my web page, far more than can be provide in this questionaire can give in a cursory format. Your choice is very simple- Tharinger with his agenda that has ravaged safety, closed hundreds of small businesses in our district, penalized others many thousands of dollars statewide, earned him a 21% rating by the 8,000 construction businesses in BIAW who are trying to meet our housing crisis, and much more- or vote for Pruiett who has a proven record of accomplishments and integrity.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Each county should be required to fund and operate a public training site with range where gun safety can be taught to all.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Disagree

I am curious which court this would go to. A supreme court which cannot define the word 'woman'? I have an application for this year's county fair display. Their rules are that no 'guns' are allowed, and specifically include a list of things like squirt guns and marshmallow 'shooters' used in games. I deplore murderers and gun violence, and spent many years as a soldier to prevent it. It takes good people with guns to stop evil people with guns. It is inescapable.
