QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Strongly Agree
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
Strongly Agree
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Strongly Agree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Doctor diagnosed fatal birth defects. Mother life endangered. I believe in Adoption not Abortion
ECONOMY
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Disagree
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Cannot be done now. Too much federal debt to balance budget unless the US defaults on trillions of present and future debts. I would start in our state by implementing an across the board, total 20% reduction in remaining 2020 budget. Next, repeal the $12,000,000,000 in new taxes legislators passed in 2020.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Strongly Agree
Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.
Strongly Agree
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
Yes
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Church cannot pass legislation that requires behavior practices and policies by all persons. The state should follow the State Constitution and repeal the laws that infringe the rights guaranteed by it.
HEALTHCARE
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
Disagree
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
A basic public health system at the county level to do services like immunization and screening, with public health nurses and nurse practitioners, with a nominal fee per visit. Privately funded health insurance. TriCare for all veterans and spouses after age 65-not Medicare. Reopen the 800 bed state mental health inpatient facility closed by Governor Gregoire (D) in 2008. Stop the financial abuse of our Emergency Rooms.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
Agree
IMMIGRATION
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Permitted workers, verified victims, financially sponsored people, certain students, and those who follow intent to become citizens.
EDUCATION
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
God loves us and wants us to love Him. Witness statements in the 66 books give excellent advice on both aspects of my preceding sentence. Inerrancy of the Bible. Spirit-inspired words of God Almighty, shared with us for our good life on earth and through the ministry and power of a loving Jesus Christ to share the joy of salvation and a life in heaven following judgement described in several witness statements such as Revelations and the writings of the apostles.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
I believe in second chances but not blatant disregard of the rights of others, not repeated offenses. I don't practice first-time condemnation for the majority of offenses.....case and circumstance dependent. We are meant to be ministers to our brothers and sisters but hold ourselves to moral, ethical and loving practices. I follow 'Tough Love" standards, which hold others accountable but always ready to reach out and help others who are struggling and sincerely are trying to do better. Repentance required, continued offences not tolerated. I believe our citizenship laws should require enrollment in the SS systems so SS earnings by non-citizens should be banked for future disbursements when they become citizens of retirement age, as opposed to letting millions of dollars being sent to foreign countries by remittance. Foreign criminals should be arrested and held until sent back.
What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?
Extensive managerial experience both as an Army officer and as a civilian. Proven training and experience in leadership of both civilian and military to achieve success. Demonstrated integrity and honesty under circumstances of government turmoil and in war-torn regions. Civilan work first as an environmental manager for the Dept of Interior working under the Reagan, Bush and Clinton Administrations. Subsequent appointment for 6 years implementing laws and practices for human resource rules, regulations, and policies. Skills and experience developing national regulations for oil and gas development as well as science-based natural resource management rules and policy which facilitated sound economic development while improving environmental conditions. Experienced with investigations and quality management while serving as an Inspector General.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I am a father, grandfather, small business owner, veteran of two tours in Afghanistan. I have proven integrity and honesty. I have already turned down implied offers of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions by special interests. I will represent the people of the 24th District on our Olympic Peninsula, and will not do as the incumbent did by voting in another 400 new laws in a rush that ignored public input and objections.
JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY
I support the use of Sharia law as a basis for legislation and judicial decisions in the United States.
Strongly Disagree
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
Strongly Agree
2ND AMENDMENT
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Felons convicted of violent crimes should not have firearms.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Strongly Disagree
The Electoral College should be abolished.
Strongly Disagree
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
Repeal the new $12,000,000,000 in state taxes passed by legislature in 2020. Prepare new legislation for recovery for the tens of thousands of small businesses forced to stay closed by the state governor who allowed big box stores, pot shops, and companies like Boeing to remain open. Restore the authority of local school boards. Restore the rights of gun owners to enable their defense of home and family.
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Yes it is. Most citizens want to live in peace, but many are not allowed to do so. I have friends who are other colors and religions, and have personally witnessed the racism they experience. I don't condone violence to resolve issues but some clearly do, and we must be on guard against the few who are prone to commit violence, irregardless of the perpetrators race.
