I am against abortion. However, I firmly believe that the government should not dictate what a woman can or cannot do with her body. The decision to have an abortion should be a private matter between a woman and her doctor. There are numerous other pressing issues that require our collective attention and resources.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
To me it means that government and religious institutions must remain independent from one another. And neither have control over each or or can control each other.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

The government can study the economic burden of disease, but it cannot create a database of identifiable medical information without violating HIPAA unless it follows very strict legal pathways. The safest approach is to use deidentified data, which HIPAA explicitly allows for research and public-health analysis without patient consent.

The U.S Dept of Education has been a disgrace especially during Covid-19. So many kids suffered not being able to go to school and I believe that the U.S Dept of Education is responsible for young childen's low test scores. I support Private schools, Charter schools and Home Schooling.

I am afraid that foreign government funding can and will create security risks, ideological influence, or intellectual-property vulnerabilities in U.S. schools and universities. I wouldn't support it. Biggest fear would be China.

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?
Make sure our justice system is equipped to keep criminals behind bars. This means strengthening our courts and prisons to ensure they can handle the caseloads and keep dangerous criminals off our streets. We also need to focus on rehabilitation. Our goal should not just be to punish criminals, but to help them become productive members of society. This means investing in education and job training programs in our prisons, and providing support for ex-offenders to reintegrate into society.
